  1. I got one in conflict resolution. It's a bit different than that win-win philosophy. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. For all the six months of sis boom bah; rah, rah, rah on here about change and how the USPA sucks, etc. Ten percent of the the membership took the time to pull the friggin ballots out of the magazine that was dropped in their lap; five minutes to fill out the ballots and maybe two minutes to put a stamp on it. If we as a society are too fucking lazy to fill out a ballot that's dropped in our lap; I guess no one should be stunned that driving down the fucking street to vote for our legislators is too much of an inconvenience. 3. Thank you, sir... That's going to bug me now. Dammit. I was a Falcon fan Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. Terry, Refresh my memory here... was it the Fury that had a tendency to side-slide due to a lack of stabilizers? I'm out of town and not near my manuals. Keith Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Korea erected a monument to Bigun's Thumb in Seoul... It's even called, "Bigun's Thumb." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  7. Kevin, while there are ways to increase the snivel on your main (larger slider, etc.), you're going to have to take into account that while it is your intention to jump the main, you're really jumping your reserve on every jump. A reserve is packed to open in ~300' at terminal; and will be abrupt. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Matt, I aways sign - name (legibly) / D# / Rating / Year. Keith Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. Nuff said. Perhaps it will become THE adopted standard by all WS Manufacturers. Thanks for your time, Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  11. Self-Regulation means developing the minimal level of proficiency and/or industry standards for the "minimum" threshold of compliance. One can do more than the standards recommendation, but should not do less or lose their affiliation with that governing organization. 12. I'm sorry if I communicated that the Coach Course should not be a prerequisite - I think it should be also. It's a good building block for the next level, but being only 2 1/2 days long does not meet the threshold for training the trainer... It; not unlike the Riggers ticket is a rating to learn. My Tandem Course was the first year of the USPA TI, so I had to do both the manufacturer's rating as well as the TI course. CM at Spaceland was my I/E and the course was almost a week long. We spent many hours not just on the basics of being a tandem mule to fulfill the manufacturer's portion, but more to fill the TI portion. When we had a weather day, he drilled me over and over on training the student, building habits in myself and in my students, how the AFP program works, and evaluated not only my tandem jump proficiency, but my training proficiency. His approach made me re-evaluate the AFF/I rating evaluation course (which like many under the old program I had flunked on the first attempt). CM did not treat it like an evaluation course, it was a Train-the-Trainer program. Just as tandems are a very complex dive, one's first several WS dives are very complex and as such; imo... the WS/I rating should be geared more towards training the trainer. EDIT: I guess what I'm trying to say is CM's professionalism in ensuring my professionalism was very important to me. My abilities and training of future students in the AFP program was to him - a reflection of the knowledge he passed downstream. 13. Others may disagree, but the USPA Coach program is more about CATS "G" and "H" and I'm not sure how it would pertain to WS Instruction. If I were a WS manufacturer issuing manufacturer's rating; I would also ask/pay Chuck and/or Scott to write an Instructor Training Program and then send it to the other as a review committee. This would not be some "Evaluation Course," it would be a "Train the Trainer" course. Sluffing something off to the USPA isn't gong to protect me as a manufacturer from legal recourse and if need be; I'd want the highest standard in the industry available for defense. 14. Who are you? How about filling out your profile, introducing yourself, You just joined, You've asked two questions regarding gun confiscation. Share. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  15. Nah, CDC doesn't get involved until the hospitals begin reporting trends.... ;-) If I didn't know what I said to be true; I wouldn't have said it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  16. More than likely, that plan would lead to a call from the CDC. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  17. "In a nutshell " OK, that was funny. So by that hypothesis, one could presume that having no balls makes you twice as good? Ladies, stay outta this. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  18. Very funny coming from somebody in the US, which has a far more recent history of invading a country without a valid reason and killing thousands in the process. *** Ummm. You do know the Canucks have played a role in this war also? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  19. WTF is this!?!?!? Some kind of new & improved Chris? Did you make a New Year's resolution to be a kinder gentler, Chris. Let me show you the way... I know a guy who threatens to hunt me down and kick my ass every time he gets "Rick-Rolled" BE that guy. He's in there somewhere. In some situations; I dare ask, "What would Chris do!!!" Show us the "Chris" Be the "Chris" Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  20. JP - you really do NOT want to see that happen. Agreed. A pull back from a world economy would create an even larger ripple in the current financial markets. We could, however, do with some balanced trade of our products and services. I agree with, "a military presence that deters attack and responds quickly decisively, and leaves the message that the US is not to be target," However, by supporting and securing democratic policy in other countries that may not have an adequate military; we actually deter attacks on the US. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  21. Hey Jerry, That is a shame. Course, I'm not sure the USPA recognizes those types of records in any formal manner. we submitted Dale's 104 as the Oklahoma and world record out of a C-182 (Having beat out a South African record of 100 from a C182). They told us they didn't recognize or delineate those types of events for the record books. Which I can "kinda" understand... 50 states, types of A/C, number of jumps, etc. Suppose the best one can do is like Jay and submit it to Guinness. Course if nothing else; Rocky's accomplishment "could" make it into parachutehistory.com in some sort of "extraordinary jumps" category that everyone could submit for review. 22. hehe, Yup, 7500' was considered the top unless you went to a boogie. Skydive Tulsa DZO did 104 HnP's from 2100-2500' in 12 hours out of a C182 for a fund-raiser. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=542777;search_string=dale%20settle;#542777 WTF, that was five years ago already!?!?!?! I "think" Jay Stoke's jumps were from around 2,100 for 24 hours - 641 times. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2605286;search_string=jay%20stokes;#2605177 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  25. Yeah I was going to say Qantas... but in looking it up, they were bombed and had fatalities during WWII; but none since. So, I guess it kinda depends on longevity in business also. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
