  1. interesting question, but i think you've got something backwards
  2. PM GravityGirl . I was talking to her via PM a few months ago, and she had mentioned she was trying to set up a payment-plan thing.
  3. if you make the outboard ones longer, it _MAY_ open harder. A guy at my DZ absolutly hated the dual brake lines on his sabre 210, so he had a rigger just cascade the inside line to the main line. unfortunaly, the line was just a wee bit short than it should have been. The tail would catch to much air (a guess) and it would slam open. (a fact). He bruised a few ribs doing this. He later just hacked off the inside steerign line all together, and all was well
  4. about 1.11:1 here Edit: That's on a Raven III
  5. well, if your mind was stronger, you wouldn't fall for that silly jedi mind-fuck nonsense. loser. j/k sweet
  6. When I can't find the droids I'm looking for.
  7. 20/18/25ish single women in that range PM me
  8. Hey these looks pretty cool. I've always hated having a wrist-mount alti for under canopy. It's simply annoying to look at. Might have to have a go at making one of these, or (if i'm feelin lazy) just buy the boner-head one. However, during freefall, i really like my wrist-mount. (And, while we're talking about different mounts) I use the Cloudflyer alti mount. Works much better than a conventional mount in the fact that it doesnt' bounce around in freefall.
  9. ~27 lbs Talon (E-14 I believe) (back then) Triathlon 220 Raven III 2 lbs lighter than our DZ student gear - oh yeah
  10. what about the skydivers who don't read the BASE forum regularily? that many jumps is no small feat, I'm sure it would be of interest to may people who would otherwise not know about it..........
  11. My DZ's 182 has one strapped to the front of the pilot's seat. It's mostly for the bootie-on the step thing (or other misc. need). Be careful of those 182 steps they can indeed be very dangerous. This year we had one jumper catch his bootie on it (his jumpsuit ripped to the crotch, but he came off right away without having to knife anything ). Another jumper got caught by his legstrap doing a wagon-wheel . That would not have been a good time to use the knife . (jumper managed to haul himself up, to the door, and unhook his strap himself and all ended well) Our step has since been modified, and we have had no further problems with it. Just as a warning to all, beware the step
  12. Where's your option for "I give half of what I earn to the government, so I bloody well be covered!"?
  13. a guy at my DZ had one this year. It looked to be a very nice rig. (little older, but still nice, and in good shape). - not that I'm any expert in gear anyway, He did have to get hard-housings installed, so just make sure that's done
  14. aaah. must be nice. only 3 exams... I wrote about 50 last year alone. oh well, going out to the mountains after cmas - do some skiing any jumping going on in SD?
  15. is it just me, or does your pizza look a little radioactive?
  16. probably gonna buy my sister a tandem this year
  17. At our DZ there's a large sewage lagoon (basicly a large, open resevoir lake thing, but for sewage) at the south-end of the airport. (we land at the north end). Not much danger of landing in it, (unless you're a really dumb student with a broken radio, and horrible spot or something), but if you have a cutaway, and have your canopy land there....... not a fun swim, I would imagine..
  18. I believe he's talking about the PD-9 cell main canopy....................
