  1. I actually laughed out loud when seeing what that line was hung up on. Then cringed at the cutaway without clearing it first....
  2. Personally, I'd love to see a modern intro/first cross-braced that: - Opens well - Has a long recovery arc - Is very responsive to harness - Amazing rears & shutdown - Available in larger sizes (120-135) for the husky swooper
  3. Aren't all reserves technically full RDS?
  4. Ah, perfect! I didn't recall that part of the conversation. I must be the deaf one after all! Thanks Ken! See you Saturday.
  5. Does anybody have the specs or a drawing for a hybrid Triathlon retractable bridle? I'd like to make one for a 175. I contacted Aerodyne - they do not publish the drawings, they only sell the completed bridles. (At least they're reasonably priced, at $30, but I'll need something to do if it rains at the DZ all weekend!)
  6. hehe, 2 seconds? You just wasted a good 9 seconds of freefall! Hop & pop are fun - enjoy!
  7. Check out here: http://forum.altimaster.com/showthread.php?t=117
  8. um, i think a rapide link would be 500x faster than a slink. (as long as you have your crescent-wrench handy! )
  9. man, that really made me want to eat fruit salad. Haven't made one since the summer oh, and also made me want to get laid too
  10. Is that a group rate on the court fees?
  11. Did you walk away from that? Nope, unfortunatly my dumb ass did not. The real sad part is my ambulance showed me up! They made even bigger divots. Thank god for tow-trucks! (otherwise I was waiting another 45 minutes for the next closest ambulance..) I'm now investing in a "No Ambulances in the Bowl" sign for next year....
  12. noted - no more opening "naughty" attachments by Cyndi!
  13. lol - but I thought it was going to be the GOOD kind of naughty By the way - how ya been?? I havn't seen you since we did that 2-way at the farm, and the uppers were 90kts, with the caravan flying backwards on jumprun!
  14. Oh god! My eyes! Cyndi - you gotta put a warning on shit like that!!!
  15. our house just burnt down 2 weeks ago. With the insurance we had, it was $150k for contents, but only about 1k for other people's items in the house. The owner of the rig(s) would have to go through thier insurance company to get reimbursed.
  16. True, however I usually assume anybody who can use a fid, and make their own closing loop has a certain degree of common sense. The point I was trying to present is that you don't have to go out and buy the "proper" closing loop material when you have lots 700 lb spectra hanging around. (as Rob mentioned 1000lb spectra works great! I'm not sure how common that is at different DZ's)
  17. whatever line you have lying around will work. (anytime your buddies have canopies relined, keep the old lines, they'll make TONS of closing loops)
  18. Probably the majority of people with 360s have had problems. I know one of the biggest ones has been poor solder joints on the RAM, which causes all sorts of goofy things. That's what you get for buying microsoft
  19. Man, with landing gear that tall, you'd think he wouldn't have even been able to bend that prop!
  20. There are other, less costly, sensors available other than the Motorolla. (Although you usually have to also measure temperature as well, and do your own offset). But, if you're only making a couple for personal use, the Motrolla one is nice a sugarcoated! Too bad it's so damn bulky! (and has such a limited supply voltage range) I've got about 200 jumps on mine now - It's still works decently, but I'd never lend it out! If I ever find the time to do another altimeter, I'll probably try using something else for a change - even if it does mean alot more development time!
