Activation altitude: Whatever you set it at (usually 1000 feet - but you can set it up to about 4k i believe) I believe the "ideal (laboratory) conditions" tolerance is +/- 200 feet. (required to pass annual chamber tests) In real life, pull at least 1500 feet above activation altitude. According to This page, it is guaranteed NOT to fire below 40 fps, and guaranteed TO fire above 65 fps.

I've always been tempted to pick up an old, FXC-12000 for stuff like this. It fires, just reset the spring, and send it up again!

TI-83. If you can the the PLUS or the silver eiditon, even better. (It'll hold lots more games to keep you from focusing on that math chit)

Landed off??....Let's hear about it!
MrBrant replied to kturnau's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My favourite out landings would have the be landings on the nearby golf course for lunch. Going to have to make that one a weekly tradition, me thinks! Scariest would have to be a night jump at the Farm. I jumped a huge-asses canopy (for safety of course ), there turned out to be honking uppers - blowing towards the 200 acres of forest..... God bless ATV trails (even if they hard to land on, and have dead-ends after 40 minutes of walking), and DZ 4-wheeler rednecks - thanks again Shimmel and Vince! I probably would have been in that damn forest until morning! -
Happy B-day Kitty!!

New front riser loops design from UPT

I have a set on my new vector. I absolutely love them! . They are very easy to get into and out of. I never have to worry about finding them, and getting my fingers into them - it's just look-and-grab. (sometimes skipping the look) They also don't pinch/grab your fingers like some of the standard ones can. They are also a LOT easier on the ungloved fingers after a day of jumping - they don't dig into the skin. The only downside is they add quite a bit of bulk under the riser covers. I'll never go back to standard dive loops. -
I would think it's more of a function of which one falls slower.

Can someone knowledgeable about electricity explain something to me?

Yeah! you guys have 208, 240, 277, 480. This could get interesting! We lucky bastards also have 347 and 600. Now, 600 hurts like a MOTHERFUCKER! . stupid heater. -
Oh man, that is GOLD!

21/25. I missed a couple really easy ones because i rushed without thinking. (VHF chanels comes to mind...) Although, I will admit, some were a complete guess. (women's blouse buttons, yankee flag, etc. I mean, who cares???)

A couple buddy's bought Optimas - I thought they were decent - I especially liked the low profile. But the lack of waterproofness, no jumplogger, and exteremly difficult menu structure turned me off. The Neptune is just a much more capable unit. The next fimware version will include the "coundtown from beeps 2-3" (I believe waht you call the swoop coridoor)

I've also been very happy well Dell's service. I didn't buy any of the extended crap, but I broke my screen a bit the first year, and called the warrenty dept. they paid for overnight shipping both ways. I called them Tuesday, Wednesday, I sent the computer to a Selectron plant in Ontario (they have the canadian service contracts). It arrived there Thursday - they replaced the screen, shipped it back, and I received it Friday morning. I was impressed. Although I wonder how their service will be now that Solectron has closed almost all their Canadian plants.....

man, everybody's giving these nice, serious replines - now I feel like a dick! But seriously man, I think everybody's been there many times. Gettign through those times and learning from the experience is what makes us grow

So, I usually just stick to grilling steaks, and smearing garlic over everything I cook (as any man would), I decided that tonight I would make a dessert. I had a box of pudding mix in the house - so I decided to make a Black-Forrest inspired pudding dish. -The dark stuff is Jello fudge pudding -the lighter stuff is pudding mixed with cool-whip -Red centre is strawberries - topped with cool whip, a strawberry, and Oreo cookie crumbs. I think it turned out rather well! (although it didn't last long!) Who else has a delicious creation to brag about?

Check page "53:88". This shows stowing the excess through the pin. Page "50:88" shows not routing it through the pin. The date on the bottom of the page (on my electronic copy) is 11/26/2003. revision: Rev. 0 In my opinion, something like stowing the excess falls into the "do what works for you" and "just don't be stupid" categories. Several safe ways to do it.
