  1. DISCLAIMER: I am pro gun ownership. I believe Jon Stewart had a great little segment about how a topic of debate is not TRULY profound until someone equates the problem to the Nazis or Hitler or 9/11. Congratulations, you are that somoene. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  2. Even though you say that you don't condone breaking the rules, you STILL give an apologist defense for a man caught doing just that. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  3. Amazon marketplace is a great for used books and so is Alibris.com and HEY !! Just cause they are guys does not mean they are illiterate. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  4. And how do most fights start? that is all I am saying. Not whether he was right or wrong, but I NEVER saw a fight that just spontaneously erupted with one side not starting it first. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  5. Yes. Now can YOU read what you JUST posted after the "punch in the face" line? A fight occurred from the initial blow. A fight is an act of two people. How many fights do you know of that do not start with one person striking first? I simply took issue with the statement: 'What you describe is not a fight" when he CLEARLY said a fight was the result of the punch. But thanks for questioning my comprehension skills. Ironic. 6. If I wish it, it will come true. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  7. What you describe is not a fight. You struck another individual. linz He said that it led to a fight. How exactly did fights start when you went to school? Children in school usually should not be sent to jail for starting a fight. Half of my school would not had graduated had that occured. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. 8. Now that I think about it, here is what I would have done: When I saw the group, I would have gotten my friends and went and stood DIRECTLY in front of them. And I mean DIRECTLY -- like 4 inches from their faces. And done nothing save for maybe a shout back at them. They step left, I step left. They step right, I step right. Then we could have seen how long they take that shit. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  9. "Those of you born under the influence of the Chinese Astrology Element of Earth are wise, serene and prudent, firmly rooted in your morals, ethics and responsibilities. Led by logic rather than emotion, you seek to plan your life as far out in advance as possible, to expect the unexpected and control your destiny down to the last detail. Your disciplined reserve -- which can come across as true grace if you work it right -- garners you respect and admiration. You're so bound by logic and dependent upon controlling your situation that you have a fear of the unknown. Consequently, you question your instincts, distrusting even your most cherished dreams and seeing your whims as frivolous distractions. Don't be a stick in the mud, Earth Signs; share your wisdom and your peace of mind with a needy world. " Well, that is crap. Not true at all. I am certainly not disciplined. or serene. 10. Marten Broadcloak is Walter O'Dim is Randall Flagg (who just happened to be good at being "dim" in The Stand). He is also referred to as "Legion" in The Stand and identifies himself as "Legion" in The Gunslinger. Common names between The Stand and Eyes of the Dragon include "Flagg" and "the Dark Man". It became perfectly obvious in The Drawing of the Three, but the seed was already set in the first book of the series with the Legion alias. Blues, Dave Yeah, my bad. But I was going with early stuff since the connection is not made till Book 4 (and thus would add to the , "he pulled it out of his ass" argument). Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. 11. seeing you in your tinfoil hat gives me a stiffy. That scares me and the children. Please, think of the children. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  12. As far as I know there is not one. What I did was take the orderform and put it in photshop. I then took the swatches on the site and did the same, saving them all as separate images. Then I used the eyedropper and paintbucket to drop paint where I wanted. I had to fill in some of the lines a bit (or the paint would bleed everywhere) but it worked. Sounds like a lot, but it really only took bout a half hour. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  13. Marten is not Flagg, but, Drawing of Three mentions Flagg: "The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three We only hear mention of a being called Flagg in DT II. Roland relates that he has known magicians and enchanters, and that he had seen Flagg long ago, as the final crash approached his land: “One of these men had been a creature the gunslinger believed to be a demon himself, a creature that pretended to be a man and called itself Flagg....Hot on his heels had come two young men who looked desperate and yet grim, men named Dennis and Thomas....he would never forget seeing Flagg change a man who had irritated him into a howling dog.” The two grim men Roland mentions are Dennis and Thomas from the Eyes of the Dragon. Remember, we were told that they would have “many and strange adventures, and that they did see Flagg again, and confront him.” Peter in the EotD also shared Roland’s thought that Flagg was a demon rather than a man." So, even in the second book, King was tying other characters together. Not to mention Dennis and Thomas. Thsu, we have, that as early as the second book in 1987, he was already incorporating ideas from his other books. While I don't think he has always known the extent that it would go, I do think he planned the connections for quite some time. And really, who says that you have to a seven book series plotted out entirely from the beginning? That is kind of absurd. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  14. He asks about your source, you attack him. Nice. But you post makes me wonder. Why do you bother to post at all then? If no one believes in your sources, even when you actually give them, why do you bother? Just doing it for the people who already believe what you are saying? Reaffirmation? what? If you are not going to give a source for the information you supply, why should anyone who may have questions listen? THAT is a horrible debate tactic. AndI have gone after your sources; usually when said source is the only place I can find the information you have posted. And I am not a liberal (at least, not per the definition of a democrat liberal you are using). Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

  16. HAA!! First time I've been accused of that. dude, that is some funny shit. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  17. agreed. The Eyes of the Dragon is pretty cool. See I thought Wizard and Glass was boring as shit and the Wolves of the Calla was very close to the same. As for him writing himself in, to me it makes sense. The Tower encompasses everything, including King himself and the books he is writing about the Tower. Its all a circle. I would make obvious correlation to a certain point in the story, but could be a spoiler. And as for bringing in other stories, same idea. And he has been doing that almost since its inception. It is a two way street as well. Other books reference it. You have to look at the Tower as the central pillar of HIS world and the universe. Everything revolves around it. The idea is quite bold. Were some parts not executed as well as others? Sure, but on the whole, I liked the grandness of it. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  18. I liked Rose Madder myself. Different, but good for me. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  19. Luckily, i started reading them not long before he actually finished..probably about 4 or 5 years before Wizard and Glass Yeah, there ARE elements of suspense and horror, but i think the series on the whole is more of just a grand epic with bits of that. Some creepy parts, some horrifying (more in a good vs evil sense than outright scary to me), but in total, just some good books. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  20. AND NOW FOR THE AIRING OF GRIEVANCES!!! Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  21. Dark Tower is not horror or even suspense, but these are my favorite books by King. If you read Insomnia or The Stand or numerous others, you will find MANY tie-ins. The series is powerful and all encompassing. Just start with the first one, The Gunslinger. That alone is a great book. Later in the series, Wizard and Glass is not so good and The Wolves of the Calla( book 5) was okay, but I personally think he pulled it back together after that. DRAMA

My mom is in a bowling league and believe me, there is drama. However, you have to take perspective: She bowls in a league for 2-3 hours every Tuesday and that is it. Compare that to many of us who are at the DZ for 2, 3, or more days at a time. We are around each other alot more. Hence, more drama. Drama is everywhere. The longer a group of ANY people is together is directly proptional to the amount of drama. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  23. No one has mentioned "The Dark Tower"!!! Beatiful series and so many books tie into it: Insomnia, It, Bag of Bones to name a few. Plus, I loved the end. Very cool and angering...so I liked it. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
