    If you want to learn what the kids are listening to these days...both mainstream and not so, try out launch.yahoo.com. I keep the videos running at work(I have problems running the radio part)...they tend to put alot of popular music but I also see videos for groups that are not so popular or that will be popular soon.     From what I see...Goth kids tend towards more industrial than emo...at least at the clubs I have been to. Hell there is even a sub genre call "goth". Most of the goths I knew in High School were into NIN, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, etc. Not so much into stuff akin to The Getup Kids ( an "emo" band). And this "emo" has been in the mainstream for a few years now. Kids have been listening to music and talking about suicide for years. or anarchy, or killing or...whatever. its very circular. me thinks you are showing your age.     Emo has been around for years. Alot of what is out nowadays and is popular is considered some type of emo. Personally, i with go with the notions of those who have already said it: labels are crap. I like the music I like and don't go searching for particular genres. Some emo is good (ala is sound like your more know "rock") and some sucks....like any "genre". If I hear a band that I like, I buy their album. I don't ask, does this fit into my pigeonhole of the genres I like? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

    interesting...you say you have studied the RENT phenomenon yet you obviously have not done much research. Johnathon did NOT die of AIDS. He did not even have HIV, he was straight also, just to dispell any other misinformation you may have. He did have many friends with the syndrome though, hence the reason behind the musical, besides his obvious love of La vie Bohemme. He died of an undiagnosed disecting arotic anneurism. After complaining of abdominal pain over the previous days he went to two different ER's only to be told he had nothing wrong. So Mr. theatre major...go back to school and learn to check your facts.     Well, without the extras on the XBox, you basically have a nuetered, no online capable box. It can play games but cannot get updated content or use XBox Live. The only reason they even have the choices is so that they can say that they have options for those who find the 400 a tad high even though the option is pretty worthless if you are going to bother to get a 360 in the first place. These machines actually cost more than the pricetag, but I will still not buy one for quite some time. And it will probably be a PS3 first. Oh yeah, you know that deal for the iPod?
