If its opinions you want here's mine. I've jumped a friend of mines g3 and g4(he's very similar in size to me) and they dont even come close to being as comfortable as my odyssey. I have had no problems with my rigs design and am 110% happy with it. If you get one you will not be disappointed. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

In Honor of St. Patrick's Day, I Present The Following Joke:
johnny1488 replied to jceman's topic in The Bonfire
Here's a better one. St. Patrick is trying to get on a ferry and the pagan boatsmen are giving him a hard time. "I have to get on this ferry" said Patrick "You'll have to do something to impress me to get me to let you use this ferry." said one of the ferrymen. "Like what?" Patrick asked? "Something funny or disguisting for our amusement. Make a fool of yourself if you will." the ferryman replied. "I will not because I am a christian and a missionary!" Patrick exclaimed. "Oh you must be Patrick the missionary then", the ferryman remarked,"I didnt know. Here you go, the ferry is all yours. Sorry for any problems," He chuckled as he finished with a smile. Patrick steered the ferry away with a smile on his face also. He was smiling because he figured being a christian and missionary got him respect. The ferrymen were smiling because the ferry carried him OUT of Ireland. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome -
Today I had a guy I work with ask me one. I was talking about what it takes to get a license and he asked if it goes on your regular license, meaning drivers, or if it has its own. I said it gets added to your drivers because a canopy is considered an air car. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

I dont rely on any color but like its been stated here, you never know the situation you'll be in when your in a ball of shit and getting the reserve off your back now is a life or death situation. Maybe it would help maybe not but I dont think it could hinder my ability. Red cutaway silver(or gray) reserve on my rig. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

no Christianity and its warped belief structure and unnatural life cycle. Christiandom or what ever is fed by the belief itself. About as far from any natural law as any idea can get. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome -

Then throw away christianity alltogether. All its major holidays and rituals are pagan. Made the christianity easier to swallow in europe if it resembled their current practices. Much easier to control a group of people who are afraid of a spiteful god who wants you to be meek and humble than one (or many) who want you to live as equal to them and fight for your land and family. As it was mentioned find new days of the week. Our society is pumping with pagan blood in its veins. To believe monotheistic christianity sprung from the ground is almost laughable except for the fact that so many have filled the spiritual void in their lives with it. Pesonally I believe christainity has done more to destroy life on this planet then any means of physical destruction man can dream up. Not to bash anyone who truly believes but if you looked at what religion did for you in your life you would do good to see what lies in your past and connect with your true spirtuality and not some king james toilet paper rag. Hell i think the bible holds more water as a hermeticly coded description of the acient writings o atlantis but I jump out of planes so I must be a nutbag. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome -
Its just that I see many explanations of lift only use the pressure differences as how lift is achieved. It doesnt explain symetrical wings or inverted flight. Also according to the bernoulli only theory, for a cessna wing to lift a plane of 4000lbs with just the acceleration of air over the wing, the wing would have to be as tall as the wingspan (according to the equal transit times theory) Equal transit times doesnt exist, (according to what i've read) but im just looking to see why that theory still holds water. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

I've been reading a lot on aerodynamics and read up on both theories. Bernoulli says that air flows faster over the top skin creating lower pressure and lift. The other theory (summed up) has an updraft in front of the nose and a down draft over the top of the canopy. Newtons law states that if the air pushes down on the canopy the canopy pushes back up on the air. This is not to be confused with the idea that the air deflects down under the wing. In this theory Bernoulli is an after effect. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Could I pick up a language really quick? Too many to chose from but here are a few Iceland, Norway, Sweden or Finland or Ireland or maybe Scotland So many to chose from Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Looks to me like this is the version that precision used when they used to produce the first generation safire and omega that Icarus has since replaced with pd's current version. A safire 209 is 209^ft but a sabre190 is 199^ft. if you look at it the other way a sabre190 is 190^ft and a safire 209 is 194^ft. dont know about the pack volumes though. Come on people you are totally missing it here. I want an odyssey vx 104.5 pd176 waterproof cypres expert Also the rig wont look distorted at all and there is no chance of a 2 canopy out situation because of some miracle of science (i dont know how but who cares) Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" The PSN is for the weekend of sept 7th. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Its not too hard. You need to untie a knot in some small thread and undo a crimped connector and put a new one on. The only hard part is making the loop the same length so you dont pull the velcro past the opening in the helmet. ps this is all on my factory diver but dont think the oxgyn would be any different. Newbie Gear Question: Spectre, Triathalon, or ??
johnny1488 replied to Clownburner's topic in Gear and Rigging
If its a toss up between 7 cells and you would like to try an Icarus canopy I would recomend an omni. My girlfriend bought one, said it flew, opened and landed great. She wound up sending it back and got a safire2 instead because it was a bit too "7 cell" but then again tons of people love 7 cells. Try all the canopies you can. Even though you have limited experience you never knoiw one might stand out as great. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome -
