What hardware and or software would I need to load a video from a no digital camera (hi-8) to a pc so I could edit and burn to a dvd? Am I living in a dream world or can I play Joe Jennings with my 2 dock sitfly videos? Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Im in trouble now. I've used this page before but now it tells me I need a password to enter and see no signs of being able to create one. Any tricks for me. Please help support my addiction of seeing every possible second of skydiving footage I can, except for the ones that take longer then 43 seconds to download. Longer riser covers, Cut in back pad, Oeticker?? clamps for housings, Doulble wide leg straps and funky fabrics. Unless you have an oprah-like affinity for fluctuating weight the odyssey is the way to go if you are ordering new. For the past 3 hundred jumps I cant remember having my rig on until pull time. Its there before exit and at 3500 but inbetween is a blur. Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Whats this selection of games for ps2 that you are talking about. You mean they make more that 2? (gta3 and gta-vc) Wow I should look into that. Thanks. Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

I would have your rigger finger trap and bar tack the brake lines. When I get my canopies i set them up on the risers (I use slinks) and leave the brake lines for the riggers. It only takes him 5 minutes and Im much more comfortable with traped and tacked toggles. As for everything else you should be fine. Watch for riser twists. Wait for a sunny day and take a bus up to the ranch. Youll forget all about NYC. Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

You cant do a center point turn if you dont have a center point. Rig and jumpsuit are fine. I keep the chest strap very tight but want to arch from my hips not chest. My problem is all physical but thanks for your info. Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Aggie at sunpath changed the leg straps on my odyssey because they would slip a bit under canopy. Check with the manufacturer of your rig that they havent had similar complaints and have a permanant fix. Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

The safire2 is a different canopy than the original. It has a slightly different planform shape and different brake line configuration. It retains many of the flight characteristics of the original ( quick recovery arc, deep control range) but has a very powerful flare and great glide. As far as the mod I think its only on the brake lines and have heard it works pretty well. Simon also developed 2 size sliders for each new canopy to give the buyer a choice of opening lengths. Thanks I was hoping for something a little out of the ordinary to jump start my arching. Anyone have some sort of medievil torture devices to lenghten my quadreceps and hip flexors? Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

yes tonight its Johnny "love" Skinner and some other ranch freefly freaks trying to build a 10 way I think. I have some hillarious behind the scenes footage. If I knew how to get it from a tape to my computer I would. Ice T chickens out on jumping and tries to fit in on the dropzone. Funny stuff. Check it out. Im pretty sure it affects all omegas and first generation safires. I could be wrong about omegas made after the introduction of the new line but a 99 is in that range im sure. Although the new zealand part just got me thinking. Call simon if you want to know for sure. You should be able to tell. I have a safire 209 and i know it flies much more like a 190 than a 210 but then I knew that when I bought it. johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

me and my girlfriend are going ohh and did I mention her parents have a house in marathon? SUCKERS!!! Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

They earlier you start to learn EVERYTHING about your canopy the less of a chance you will be caught up shits creek. I look forward to every canopy ride as much or maybe more than the freefall now. I had to land out in a small baseball field after a tracking dive a few weeks ago and kind of looked forward to it. Wanted to see if my work would pay off. tall trees all around and had now problem or hesitation. Pull high everychance you get. The extra canopy time is well worth a few seconds of freefall Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

I usually float somewhat when i turn. I have a good idea what to work on but really need the flexability to put it into affect. My girlfriend has a great fall rate and can arch like a bandit so I use her as my reference. I guess shes my blonde spaceball. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

thanks everyone I guess it just takes time and patience. Its amazing how stable I can fly with like a 15 degree bend in my hips. I can stand still but damn moving gums up the works. Well time to strech Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

Well here it is. I cant arch. I fly stable as hell but there is very little arch in my body. Cant do center point turns if I dont have a centerpoint. I feel im just wasting my time doing drill dives and im grabbing my way through any 4 way I do. I'm 6'0" and I weigh 185. Not unreasonable at all but im not very flexible in my legs. When i try to arch i usually go knee down from trying to pick my head up and push my hips down. Been trying the old quad stretch but it feels I need something more drastic. Any help would be great. dont worry dave ill reply to your post even though i cant go this weekend. Oh yeah your kims hero or something. John Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome

If you weigh 16o thats probaby 185 with gear. I would recomend a rig that is cut for a 170 and jump a 190 for a while, not a predetermined amount of jumps but until you can land crosswind and downwind. I am also a huge advocate of starting to learn front riser landings while on your first canopy. I weigh 185 and am still jumping my safire 209 after 360 jumps(flies like a 190 though) . Learning to be aggressive on a big canopy is lots of fun and gives you a pretty big safety margin. Also take into account the size of the reserve you can put in a rig. My girlfriend weighs 135 dry and finds a 150 plenty fast enough so an eventual 170 should be good for a few hundred jumps imo. Johnny Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
