  1. After reading it, my first thought was : "At what point did that option seem like a good idea?".
  2. Last ones I made we used orange jello with Vodka, and red jello with everclear.... First time I made them was that night, and I don't really remember too much about it....
  3. Story here http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=573&ncid=757&e=3&u=/nm/20050203/od_nm/odd_sherry_dc
  4. if you read the thread you will notice that it is the Gun owners or pro gun peoplle that are telling us why they like toown guns, not the other way around... I did read the thread, maybe you should read my post. I never said that there wasn't any of them expressing their point of view. I just noted my suprise at people that don't own guns saying why people do own guns.
  5. It's an F-111 with a ZP topskin. I know a few people on here have one, and I've been thinking about getting one myself. I have yet to hear anything bad about them by anyone that has jumped one.
  6. ermm so noone in any of these cities owns a handgun.... I don't know what point you're trying to prove, but it seems like a waste of time.
  7. What amazes me more than anything is the number of people telling us why gun owners own guns (fear, paranoia, etc), when they have never owned a firearm themselves.
  8. I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but we have these nice things called cars. We can even drive them to places outside the city!
  9. Hmm... When I saw the username "Sqaure3" I assumed it was an account at the gear store. I think everyone else did too.. good job on jumping all over someones ass for no reason.
  10. I hear that bro. Just out of curiosity, what you say is the mindset of the majority of gun owners/carriers in the states? IMO I feel that the majority of gun owners have them due to an underlying fear that the worst will happen. Do you own a gun?
  11. I think I have to agree with you on alot of that.
  12. The Eagles better hope god is an Eagles fan, because they're going to need a miracle to win
  13. I don't think that alone is enough to make England as a nation to buy guns, put bigger locks on our doors and close ourselves off. We're just not that paranoid about some AIDs infected, crack addicted psycho storming into our homes and killing us all. OK so it happens, but so do car accidents, will you only get in a car that has airbags? If I buy a car, and airbags are an option, I'm certainly getting them.
  14. I've had problems with them as well. When you call the 1-800 #, dial 0 and you should get to talk to someone without having to sit through the message. I work with UPS everyday, and it took me a year to figure that out. I hate companies with automated phone systems.
  15. Lemurs are just about the coolest animals alive..
  16. Justinb138; it is indeed very sad if you truly are as egoistic and self-centred mierzaviec as you say. I'm not You write you don;t give a shit about me. Well, don't take it personally but i don't care. However your egoism and lack of worry about other feeling beings is nothing you should be proud of. I pity you because such attitude generates bad karma. Continue this way and in your next incarnation you will return as a cockroach. Besides i must point out it was Superwhuffo who said he worried about me. I thanked him - not you - so what was all your venom soaked writing for? It was beer induced, so don't take it personally, and I don't believe in karma or reincarnation, just so you know. About Happythoughts' mistakes. I didn't mean his or her grammar and spelling. I meant LOGICAL mistakes. Should have written errors. My fault. As far as my language mistakes are concerned; i've never said i'm perfect. In fact i think my English is pretty bad. But still it allows me to communicate on a basic level :) Of course i try to improve it but it's a slow process. Although a reasonable dose of perfectionism is a good thing, i'm not going to lose any sleep over grammar and spelling mistakes i make. Not capitalizing the i is deliberate. I always try to stick to English grammar rules but about this particular rule i simply don't care. Call it eccentrism if you like :) Thanks for clarifying that, and your English is not bad. Your response above stated that you were making comments about mistakes, I assumed that you were commenting on grammatical errors, not logic. Seems to have been a misunderstanding. You repeatedly write that you don't care about my opinions. Let me ask you then - WHAT are you doing on the Forums?! It all consists of people's opinions. Though then perhaps you are here to read only your own posts :) I do care about people's opinions, it is nice to hear other perspectives on things, as it allows me to understand things better, when they are not wildly illogical. When you start insisting that parachuting = suicide, with no logical arguments, I start thinking troll. The very art of discussion is about analysing and polemicizing with the opponent's arguments. Yet you stubbornly refuse to do it. I think the reason for this is very simple - you've gotten heavily frustrated. You strongly disagree that skydiving is suicide but unfortunately this inner voice of yours cannot find suitable words to be expressed. I will gladly argue a topic with you when your arguments show some type of logic. I have suitable words, but I don't want to get banned (j/k) You simply lack arguments against my theory. By saying you don't care you try to hide the fact that you have nothing to say. Whole your contribution to this discussion was rewritting a dictionary definition which is pretty useless since it does not include a lot of suicide cases. Such as for instance Sokrates who was forced to drink a poison and who did this - thus killing himself without the intention to do it. What a pity you don't think for yourself :/ I do think for myself, and I don't see why you think that I don't. About Emerson. I meant Ralph Waldo Emerson, American writer, philozopher and central figure of American transcendentalism whose works are landmarks in the development of American thought. How come that living in Europe i have heard of him and you, an American, haven't? What schools you attended! Shame on you. I don't see what Emerson has to do with this argument. What does you living in Europe and me in America have to do with anything? Please don't bring your negativity towards Americans into this. If you're curious, I am in my first year at UT Arlington right now. I haven't taken philosophy yet, but I am sure I will learn of him. What should I be ashamed of? In spite of the above i think that really you are a nice and kind person who for some reasons decided to play hard and act like a macho. Your rigid harshness is cute in a way :) Receive my regards. I had been drinking a little bit, it was kinda late at night I think. I probably would not have been so harsh otherwise. Rigid harshness? cute? Are you hitting on me? Michele; i don't mean to sound haughty but as far as suicides are concerned i know probably a bit more than an average person. I don't see the point of that. This is mainly, but not only, because i'm quite interested in the subject and have read something about it. If you don't believe me i can send you a privete message containing an instruction how for instance cut your veins in a most effective way. Are you interested? :) Let me also ask you a question; have you ever tried to think about main types of suicides? I don't mean group suicides versus single suicides but rather the reasons for which people do it. Does anything comes to your mind? Regardless of method or number of people, ending your own life with the intent to do so is suicide. Your response above makes me believe that you have an obsession of some sorts with death or suicide. And now, just as i promised, the ultimate argument. There is a theory from the verge of psychology and neurology, guess Jung was first to write about it, which says that whole our decision making process takes place on the subconscious level. This what we consider consciously taken decisions is really a kind of neuro static. This would explain why not everybody engages in hazardous activities such as speed-driving, scuba diving or parachuting. Perhaps we're all attracted to skydiving because we subconsciously want to die? Do you find it convincing? :) I don't skydive because I want to die, I skydive because I want to live, I enjoy it. Many people don't participate in hazardous activities because they feel that the benifits don't outweigh the risks. As as far as I know, that is a conscious decision. I don't see how subconscious feelings about death make skydiving suicide. In my mind, suicide involves a conscious intent . I don't see any reason to believe otherwise. Why make it more complicated than it is for sake of argument? And if not - i'm sorry to tell you that our current state of scientific knowledge does not make it possible to overthrow the subconscious factor. If you can't do anything about it, why worry about it? Edit: sp.
  17. You mean Iraq invading Kuwait back in the early 90's?
  18. If anyone is guilty of denying food and medicine to Iraqis it was the US and its allies, with that ridiculous embargo that only managed to kill hundreds of thousands of people while never harming SH. Well, the US is bringing in food and medicine now, has SH in custody, and you're probably bitching about the US doing that now.
  19. Concealed Handgun License, and I'm guessing Concealed Weapon Permit. There's a ton of acronyms for it, but pretty much the same thing.
  20. Of the concealed carry holders --I-- know, that's the last thing they want to do, also. My guess is that the majority of those with a carry permit feel the same. - Jim I don't yet have a CHL, but I'm thinking about getting one. My mentality about the whole thing is "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." I would assume most people (that have a permit at least) see it the same way.
  21. Just as they are everywhere else in the world.
  22. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if your's is wrong.
