  1. Who does one call to get one of these Fusion demos?
  2. Optical mouses are great, just don't ever plan on going back to using a regular mouse or you'll end up taking a hammer to it !
  3. Just wanted to post the new toy I got for Christmas this year
  4. I'm not getting a damn thing done either... Just sitting here at work waiting for my new Wings container to be delivered tomorrow.
  5. The ice and rain really suck (gotta drive to work in it tomorrow ), but it's almost worth it too see texans trying to drive on ice on the news
  6. That wont do it either. It nearly impossible to get all of the files in the program, most of them are .dll files in the System folders. (If you have 1 piece of spyware, you probably have alot more that you don't know about, and those will probably install the stuff you just deleted anyway). The latest version of Ad-aware will catch nearly everything, but if it doesn't you have to delete the registry keys that cause the program to start when the PC boots up. I've also had good luck with the Yahoo! spyware tools. Edit: I am 100% sure that ad-aware will take care of the files you listed, I had it on my laptop a few months ago.
  7. I recommend AdAware, and it's free. http://www.lavasoft.de
  8. Me Too! I wasn't expecting it to be here until around Jan. 7th, but I got an email from Sunrise yesterday telling me that they were shipping it today, should be here on the 24th! So, #1. the Wings container, #2. a Smart reserve, and on the 28th (21st B-day) I gotta pick up #3, a bottle of Crown Royal..
  9. I attempted some front riser turns on the Navigator 260 (loaded a little less than 1:1) I was flying on Saturday, and I swear when I tried to pull the riser down the damn thing laughed at me. I managed a 15 degree turn at best, and a sore right arm for a little while. I think it's a sign I need to get to the gym for the next two weeks while the DZ is closed
  10. I just got my new Tonysuit last week (All heavy cotton, with cordura booties. Hopefully it will help slow my big ass down), and did my pre-second jump with booties on Saturday. Big difference. Took a little bit of time to get used to them because any movement in the legs was very noticable. It was like having afterburners while tracking
  11. When I was working on AFF I swear I spent more weekends at the DZ not jumping than I did jumping (gotta love Texas). The winds kept me down alot (they were always just a hair too fast), so I tried to get my jumps in early in the morning before the winds picked up. I haven't been able to jump in the last 3 weekends due to weather. (Rain, rain, and crazy winds this last weekend). The weather will get better, just get as many jumps as you can in while it's decent
  12. 96.8 miles. 1hr 15 minutes w/ no traffic, 1.5-2 hours in traffic to Skydive Dallas. There are 2 places that I know of that are closer (30 and 50 miles away), but I don't see myself going anywhere else anytime soon.
  13. I used to ride motorcycles, and used to speak with alot of people on forums regarding sportbikes. I keep seeing the same kinda thing on this site alot. I've seen many people go out an buy the fastest sportbike that they could get with hardly any riding experience, because they would "be careful" or "take it slow" (These are usually the people you see riding wheelies between lanes in highway traffic during rush hour). People would try and talk them into getting a smaller bike, a more forgiving one, to no avail. You get startled by a car cutting you off and yank the throttle on a 500cc bike, you get the sh!t scared out of you and learn not to make the same mistake again. You do the same thing on a 1000cc Race Ready bike, you don't get the chance to make the same mistake again. Seems to be the same kind of attitude involved. The way I see it (with my limited experience), if I am under 1000ft, and the shit hits the fan, I want to have the most forgiving canopy above my head as possible. I don't have anywhere near the experience to tell you what canopy is good for you, nor will I try. I just wanted to mention a quote that someone told me before. - "It's more fun to drive a slow bike fast, than to drive a fast bike slow". [/rant]
  14. I'll hopfully be getting my A in a few weeks, and have been looking at a few possibilites for canopies when I finally get the cash to buy my own gear. I've been looking at the Silhouette 230, and was wondering how it compares to the Aerodyne Solo at a WL of about 1:1. Anyone flown both?
  15. Tried Skydive Dallas? Can't beat the school-bus yellow otter..
  16. I work at a distribution center for a national pharmacy company, and we ship several thousand packages a year with UPS. I only remember 1 not getting to where it was supposed to be, and it came back to us.
