1. No, I don't believe it exists as a universal force. But it should! Like others have said, bad things are more likely to happen to bad people. But bad things happen to good people too.
2. Well, I was born in Liverpool - but a couple of years after a certain four young men had already upped sticks and made it big elsewhere... Oh, and the comedian Freddy Starr (possibly little known outside the UK!) went to my school.
3. Like most Hollywood skydiving scenes, it's nonsense but it's pretty entertaining. Some of the footage obviously is of a genuine jumper - if you watch it closely it looks as though he's wearing a full-head rubber Arnie mask, which I think is hilarious.
4. There's a whiff of 'Viz' about these...
5. Hallucinogenics are redundant on that ride...
6. Apparently some viewers wrote in to say it was ridiculous anybody could survive a crash that looked that bad. But he did, didn't he? As a kid I did love the six million dollar man - but my heart belonged to Jaime Sommers.
7. Here in the UK, especially away from the coast and the flood plains of any rivers, there's virtually no natural disaster risk to speak of. Although as nature seems to get ever freakier, that may change eventually. It's easy to forget (except at times like this) how grateful those of who live in such safe environments ought to be. On the other hand, having such a moderate climate makes us pretty complacent - to the point where our underprepared transport systems can make a 'disaster' out of a couple of inches of snow, or an unseasonably hot summer day.
8. Since the thread's already been hijacked, I have to ask - was that a deliberate misspelling? Because it made me smile. 'Sheep'. 'Shear'. geddit?
9. Mike, Done some web searching too (as I'm sure many people have) and haven't found anything. All I can suggest is that you ask for someone else to produce a similar picture for you, describing exactly what it is you want. Don't know if this would be quite the same, but it might mean even more since it would be a personal gesture. There are lots of very talented dz.commers who I'm sure would be happy to invest a little time.
10. I just paid 45 pounds to fill my car. So I'd like to add to Bill's suggestions, specifically for Brits - emigrate.

Just say no?

Even scarier thing is, I started it!
12. Be pretty quiet at the perfect DZ, wouldn't it? How are we going to fill the plane?
13. Like everybody else has said, good for you for doing the right and humane thing. It beats me why people don't tag their pets - if I lost mine the worst thing would be if I never found out what had happened to them.
14. Grab hold of the whole of Eloy, including the new tunnel, and relocate it a mile from my house. Job done. Of course, you'd have to bring the weather, too.
15. Where's the option for 'Numbers mean nothing'? Especially that one. If only it did, my 12.978 years mean I should be an out-and-out skygod by now.
16. I'd be more impressed by the guy's bravado if there was any chance the elephant was going to jump on him.
17. Elephants can't "run" either, they just walk really fast. Yes, i'm serious. White men can't jump either... I swear I saw a movie talking about that Speaking of movies, what about 'Operation Dumbo Drop'? http://ia.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/61/34/02m.jpg An elephant jumps in that - or was it pushed?
18. I think on the whole that's probably a good thing. OK, I'm curious now about how this was proven. Did they sneak up behind the elephant and shout in its ear?
19. I think on the whole that's probably a good thing.
20. Flatulence in the plane is the real reason that full-face helmets were invented. I just flip the visor down, and open it again after a minute or two - cautiously...
21. This from the queen of DD... Glad to know you're on the receiving end once in a while.
22. Careful - now you're really going to confuse things. Because an American biscuit is nothing like a British biscuit. Your biscuits are more like what we call scones, and our biscuits are your cookies. I found a photo of a crumpet for you, covered in jam. I mean jelly, sorry....
23. Erm. I don't get it. Is it an American thing?
