What do you listen to on your way to the DZ?

Funnily enough, if I have the radio on that's the one thing I try to avoid - usually switch stations as soon as it comes on. Like, I'm going to the DZ no matter what. The last thing I need at the start of my hour+ drive is to know it's going to be raining by the time I get there... -
Well, obviously it's derived from his surname - but I suspect it was started to enable the newspapers to rhyme it with 'Whacko' (which I believe some people think he is ). Once they've done that enough times you can drop the 'Whacko' and everyone still knows who you're talking about. That's my theory!

My bathroom is tiny. Just about room for the bath, toilet and basin. If I put a toilet roll dispenser in there I wouldn't be able to get in the door...

I've been on a mission to keep this alive at my DZ for the past few years. It's sociable, non-competitive and a great way to get warm in the winter. And although it doesn't look like it to an observer, it gives you a pretty good workout! It's kind of a forgotten pastime, I think - most people who play for the first time get hooked pretty quickly. As far as I can make out you can't buy a decent hack anywhere in the UK, though - mine get shipped all the way from Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Something tells me this thread isn't encouraging you very much! Really, having a crown fitted is no big deal - just a relatively long procedure - and if it's done well it should last many years and will be much stronger than a tooth that's nearly all filling. As for the appearance, a gold crown will likely be noticeable in your lower jaw - so if that bothers you go for a porcelain one. I have porcelain crowns on rear molars that have been in place for 15 years. Don't worry about it! -
Hi, I jumped the Alouette at Eloy a couple of times but never got around to photographing it before it disappeared. Had better weather for most of the Holiday boogie than had been predicted, and it was much warmer than last year. So I'm happy! Although driving to the airport during Monday's downpour was less than fun. Those big trucks are serious spray-making machines when there's a lot of water on the road...

Not me. I'm going to be sitting on a flight to Phoenix for 11 hours. With about 20 other skydivers, which helps - I think. Sure, it'll be very very cool when we get there, but I hate long haul - so I'd swap you your day at work for my day in an economy airline seat. Oh, as long as I still get to spend 9 days at Eloy...

For anyone who booked their ticket for this flight a long time ago - apparently BA changed the outbound departure time sometime after June and don't seem to have told everyone. Flight time is now 12:30. It was originally 12:55.

I've been twice, and had an awesome time. You'll need to watch the airflow near the edges of the tunnel - unlike most of the other designs I've heard about, the pressure drops right off close to the sides and you're liable to end up on the floor in a hurry if you're not careful. On the plus side, it's warmer than many tunnels since it's completely enclosed and the air is recirculated inside the building rather than being drawn from outside. It can actually get uncomfortably hot in there. And it's always very dry, so drink lots of water! If you're booked in for a particular time you might find you need to be flexible or have a fight about it - the staff like you to share the time with other groups so you might find yourself either waiting a while or being rushed in there. Two foodstuffs where I'd never go for the cheap option- baked beans (have to be Heinz) and anything with meat in it. Whenever I see, say, 'economy' burgers, I wonder what the hell might be lurking inside. Mind you, that's probably true of brand name burgers too... And I don't often wear branded clothes, especially if they have an obvious logo. I think it's pretty insulting that you should have to pay top dollar to be a walking billboard for a clothing manufacturer...

Put my coat on and left the house anywhere near feeding time. That scares my cat pretty badly. But then if he doesn't eat every 10 minutes he gets panicky. -

The soundtrack comprises the original score recorded for the movie and also the great 80s songs. Unfortunately I don't think you can get them both on the same CD.
