  1. When the wing on my S3 tore(Don't know what caused it...most likely crawling in the cessa). BM had it fixed and shipped it back by next day air at their cost. The customer service at BM is top notch. Kris.
  2. Yes, and some DZs will not allow you to jump at 250 jumps, even if you have already jumped a wingsuit somewhere else. kris.
  3. Hey Fordy, The mapping on the 101, 201 and 301 units sucks compared to the units higher up in the line up. When you download it, it works just great. Because it is the software that is doing the drawing anyway. If you are talking about the data lacking definition then I must say that I have not used the unit so much to have noticed that. Kris.
  4. Unfortunately for me, I need a visa and the earliest appointment I have got to get a visa to a schengen state is September 15th. So I am screwed. Kris.
  5. I have used a Forerunner 201 and it was pretty reliable as long as the unit had a good satelite fix until exit. I cannot give you any feedback on the Cold weather performance though. Garmin did replace the unit for me when an upgrade to the software made the download of data not work any more. I believe a Forerunner 301 is available now. Kris.

    loic's videos

I think Loic sold rights to that video. They got the footage and gave it to a company that produced the DVD. That's what I remember him saying. Kris.
  7. Lean?! You'll be in it head first before you know it . Kris.
  8. It'll keep getting better. We are going from 3d formations at the end of a three day event(Z flockn Dock Mar 05) to starting with 3d stuff(Weston Aug 05). The possibilities are endless. Kris.
  9. I meant 'A head up' angle wingsuit dive 'hugging the ball'. Ofcourse I had fun on every single wingsuit flight(Did a 150 mostly solo wingsuit flights at SDC last year) ...it's just in retrospect that I feel I could have learnt more if the concentration was not so much on time. If we can get that point across to newbies we should. It is not much of an issue on solos, but on flocks a head up position(among other things) causes wobbles and generally makes it look bad on video. You know what I am talking about Matt. Kris.
  10. Matt, I think wearing a wingsuit and cupping air to get the maximum times is something one will have to unlearn. I know all about cupping air and wasting skydives. Kris.
  11. Unless one is really 'flying'(not cupping air) trying to achieve something like this is detrimental to the process of learning to fly. Search the forums and see how much I babbled about long flights. I don't really care for that now. If you want to spend your energy on numbers anyway, spend it trying to GPS your flights. You will learn more about flying than by looking at Neptune numbers as soon as you get down(I used to do this so I know). Kris.
  12. My choices are S-fly and Prodigy due to the wider leg stance. The leg stance on these suits is almost as wide as any top performance suit in the market. There is no doubt that you will be moving up to a bigger suit. When you do, it will be a more natural progression. I moved from a Classic 2 to a GTI before moving up to the bigger suits. The wide leg stance took a lot of getting used to. Kris.
  13. 1) You would need to buy an additional wingsuit just for the pants. I have 2) The wingsuit would get you farther anyway. So why 'go topless'? 3) Can you prove that prodigy pants can get you farther than Pants plus Jacket? Kris.
  14. I will be there with my V-1 and SFly wingsuits. The S-Fly is available for use on FFCs, if you meet the BPA guidelines ofcourse. Kris.

    WFFC

How does doing a 180 and flying by them as they are already under canopy sound? Be safe. Ed That certainly is a 180 Ed
  16. I don't think he measured it with a protractor before jumping but bu guess is that 45(1:1 GR) and lower angle slopes are ambitious for a project like this. Kris.
  17. I think vdschoor needs an S3 if it is between the GTI and the S3. He is not lean and tall(I think we tried to get you to do camera for our wingsuit balloon jumps at Eloy that did not happen) and looks like he jumps with a lot of cameras. You may need the S3 for the range. Kris.
  18. 8 Jumps from the Span in Potatoland. Kris.
  19. Where are the pics?? Kris.
  20. Hey I saw the inlets. That was not my question. The wing profile looks like it is no different than an S3, GTI or even the the V1s. i.e the big bulging convex side is on the top(or back). When the flyer is on his/her back, the smaller (normally concave) will be the 'upper convex side'. Airlocks on the back wing are not something new as we all know. Vectorboy has a prototype suit with airlocks. I wanted to know what the differences are on this one. Since it is a different wind tunnel tested design. Anyways, I thought it was in the marketer's best interest to point out the obvious advantages over a previous model. So I'll just wait for someone to publish their findings. Kris.
  21. Unless someone from Birdman posts the videos atleast of the Phi are not going to be available soon. Macca changed his order from a Phi to a S3S due to some delay(Zippers from somewhere). Scott is usually up to speed on videos so we should see some Firebird videos from the SDC event soon. But then he's probably jumping his ass off in the next few weeks so who knows. Kris.
  22. I am not trying to start a pissing contest, people that cannot answer a question without getting emotional should stop reading this post now. The only person in the world that does any precise flying and really likes it is Loic(there maybe a few more people). But as all you know if its not on video........ This ofcourse does not mean that other wingsuit manufacturers don't know what they are doing. The acro with innovative new inlets and going away from the conventional(palms up) arm position makes a lot of sense. I want to know how a suit that is claimed to be the "best all around wingsuit in the world" is flown on ones back. from what I see in the pic of Jari showing the back of the suit, it looks like the back of a regular wingsuits wing. Where is the photograph showing the advantages of the wing while flown in a back to earth position? What are the "wind tunnel tested" enhancements to the wing design for backflying. Why are all these changes invisible? Or is this a case of the emperor's new clothes? Kris.
  23. I got a copy from the people in the Airtec tent at Eloy. The only condition he made was that I share it with my friends. So I read it and passed it on. It was good reading and had some cool pictures. Kris.
