  6. The planes are very good and fast(Dornier(Sp?), Turbo LET) however there usually isn't a crowd to allow multiple planes flying hot the whole day at any DZ. I made over 480 jumps between Oct 2003 and Mar 2005(lived in the US) and about 30 jumps since June 3, 2005 in the U.K. Kris.
  7. I say demo the 188 before you buy it. Also try and demo the reserve you will have on your back the first chance you get. Kris.
  8. I started BASE so that I could wingsuit BASE. There was a time when I thought the people that BASE jumped had a few screws loose. I don't know anymore. If you want to BASE jump do it for yourself. Most people cannot comprehend why someone would jump off of objects. So, people will see you differently.... BASE jumpers are people also. Read this article by Tom A.... Click Edited to make clicky. Kris.

  16. Remembering that falling feeling!! Kris.
  17. Good Luck with the move. Drive Safe, Kris.
  18. I have had the pro-dytter skip beeps on me. I only did this when flying the Classic II and the GTI. My 'theory' is that I was periodically stalling the suit trying to go slow and when chance made the stall come around the dytter warning altitude, there would be no warning. I never managed this with the bigger suits though. Kris.
  19. Hey Dude, Send a PM or email to Kim Griffin(Vigil Rep). She should be able to explain. She is also a very experienced wingsuit pilot. contact Kim Griffin at kim@vigil.aero username: kimgriffin Kris.
  20. Speculating here...but it could be that it was only recording the few sec prior to deployment. Does anyone know what speeds the vigil reads as 'freefall'? Edited to add: best contact Kim Griffin at kim@vigil.aero DZ.com username: kimgriffin Kris.

    BASE WIKI

Nice Website !! Good work dude!! Kris.
  22. I think the polar curve information is interesting, and does have some bearing on developing maximum performance techniques. Besides, jumping here starts in 20 minutes, so I'm going to go do something more fun than try to weed through this thread. Have fun Jumping Tom
  23. Then why insinuate them? What is your question about? That sentence "completed" the reply to Jarno's question. By covering the remaining companies mentioned in his post. The article posted in this thread provides valuble information. Now, can we remove split off discussion(starting with your post about polar curves) from this thread and make the original posts a sticky? Kris.
