  1. This brings up an interesting point... Hypothetically, if some wingsuit instructor were to mentor this guy over the next 25-40 jumps done at a fast rate(in a month or so) then does he still need to do an arbitrary number of jumps before jumping a wingsuit? I don't think so. What do you guys think? Kris.
  2. I would suggest a darker shoulder color and a lighter suit color. Or go all black. Kris.
  3. I congratulate you . Kris.
  4. I don't own a Acro and don't think I will own one. I am not interested in acrobatic flight at the moment. If I was in the U.S and jumping a lot(read about 7-10 times more jumps than I did this season in the U.K). I would be three suits short
  5. Tom, I think Morpheus also offers a BASE FJC. When I talked to Robi Jones last December, he said that they offer courses during the warmer months only. Kris.
  6. Go to Lodi....its a no brainer. Kris.
  7. Here is the colors of the prodigy I ordered. Guess who is in the picture . Anyone else want to post prodigy thoughts? Kris.
  8. That pic is just(about 5-7 secs) after a still air exit (with another person in the air)....the body position changes quite a bit afterwards but there is a bend at the elbows. I remember that while flying with straight arms, we can still allow the wing to inflate properly. I have not flown the V-1 like that but in the S3 it seemed to give me more forward speed. Kris.
  9. Here is a prodigy pic without a bend in the arm. Kris.
  10. If I could fly, I would not be technical either . Here is what I mean by a bend. I am assuming you do that. Kris.
  11. Jen and Luke, Can you tell me if you fly with a bend at the elbow or a straight arm? I will post pictures of what I mean by this when I get home. Kris.
  12. I will be there. Always wanted to visit Russia. Kris.
  13. I did not know Lukas but I have seen one of his video(Fastest Motherfucker in the valley). It is sad that he is not among us anymore. I will raise a glass in his honour. Fly Forever Lukas, Kris.
  14. Prof, Knowing that you enjoy your canopy flying, I think you will be happy with a 9 cell tapered canopy like the Sabre2, Pilot etc. Kris.
  15. Check out this thread. Looks like Legal BASE is covered as well. By M & S and www.specialityrisk.com Kris.
  16. You may want to add this as a FAQ: What is a decent descent rate in a wingsuit? Anywhere between half to a third of your normal boxman fallrate. Kris.
  17. Well, thanks everyone for the advise. I drank a lot of water, drank about 60 ml of Remy Martin Cognac and when I woke up it was all good. However, the cold kinda came back agan so I am drinking another 60 ml of the Remy Martin V.S.O.P, I don't know what the heck that means but this thing is smooth like nice scotch. Kris.
  18. Yeah, try bird-man.com. The guy that flew it is Visa. Kris.
  19. What would you drink if you had a cold and wanted to get rid of it. Kris.
  20. That post made his posts equal to his jumps. Looks like most people missed that. Other than pisfish Kris.

    wingsuits

An easy way to increase that ratio is to fall faster without the wingsuit. Or compare the amount you pay for a jump to U.K jump ticket prices . Unless you jump in the U.K to begin with ofcourse. Kris.
  22. Yeah, there is a link further up in this thread or go to skydiveradio.com Kris.
  23. I don't know of a pre-existing tear. I think the tear occured while he was hanging out of the Porter(this is just a theory of mine). I was flying the slot behind him and the wing blew up right in front of me. One minute he was flying just fine and the next the wing was torn all the way from the hip to the shoulder. Kris.
  24. Are you referring to the incident that occured last December? I think the blow up may have been a small tear being gradually blown apart by the air pressure as the dive progressed. #68 on the list would be the exact situation you are talking about. It is definately a serious risk. Kris.
