When I worked in Mexico we were short flotation gear. The passenger always got one; me, if there was one left over.

Survey: Church-goers more likely to support torture

But as long as it is effective at least some of the time there is no moral problem with that. -
For years the question of financing a small aircraft for any reason brought chortles. The easy credit madness of the last ten years changed all that, but I would expect that financing a small aircraft will be exceedingly tough in today's risk-adverse market.

Gleefully exploited by the protectionists.

So I take it you have no problem with enemies of the US torturing US servicemen. -

Does regional representation play into the mix for SCOTUS picks? Race and gender matter, anything else? -
No, the normal reaction of the state in reaction to intensive lobbying from protectionist agricultural groups. The Yanks do it to Canadian products all the time, and we have a treaty.

I am the king of procrastination. I am going to write a book about it.

Maybe we will see a market for free range, non-medicated pork emerging. I already insist on my eggs being so. I would buy the beef if I could afford it.

It's worse than that. Species 8472 will eat our young if we don't keep them out.

Clearly, Christians and Christianity are a threat to the constitution and to our way of life. "Are you or have you ever been a member of a Christian organization?" -
CSPA Basic Safety Rules 2.3 When the intended point of landing is within 1 km horizontally of open water, all parachutists shall wear a floatation device capable of supporting themselves and their equipment. Not really any gray area there. Any less than two floatation devices voids the insurance as well as defense fund access.

Wild guess, but, I would imagine we have a little better health care over here. The fact is most Americans (and Canadians, Spaniards, etc) haven't needed the health care system to combat it. Very few have been hospitalized.

I'm really confused by certain people that place a large amount of emphasis on the nation they might have been born in . . . like they had a choice in the matter? But any of those Andromeda galaxy refugees come over and take our jobs, I'll raise heck. GO Milky Way!! The best damn galaxy in the quadrant +1 Seriously, nationalism is a rather quaint notion left over from the 18th century when it began to replace the inferior notion of empire or monarchy. In the final analysis it is just as damaging as tribalism, sectarianism, racism, or any of the myriad other ways we define people as "not us."

+1 for The Godfather. Honorable mention for Apocalypse Now. "Never get out of the boat."

Isn't the hero in "To Kill a Mockingbird" a girl? The book is written in her first person.

Anti-biotics have nothing to do with virul development. They also have nothing to do with fighting viruses.

It isn't the media doing the hype, it's the people we pay to know about stuff like this. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090429/national/swine_flu_expectations

I agree on Caps/ Pens, but not so much 'Canes/Bruins. I really don't think Carolina can play with Boston. Jersey was below par, not Carolina above par in the last series.

To me as well.

So from reading this thread you should all realize that their are many different programs. There is nothing "weird ass" about tandem to AFF transition programs, nor are static line/IAD to AFF transition programs, or strait AFF, or strait static line/IAD to solo freefall "weird ass." The difference between a solo program and an A license program is that the solo will let you jump solo at your drop zone and the A license program will let you jump solo anywhere in the world. Ask them to clarify at the DZ. I think you will find the A license program has some additional savings compared to taking the solo program and working on your own toward your A license.

I suspect 500 people will be dead within the next 48 hours. Or did you mean 500 Americans?

Except Tamiflu. Maybe. Hopefully, but doubtfull in the end. Viruses are so simple they tend to end run around such things. If their was enough tamiflu for everyone it might head this one off, but there isn't enough to go around.
