Not bad for a first draft; a bit wordy though.

We are talking about insurance salesmen.

Well there are parts of the world where governments reinterpret contracts politically. Zimbabwe, Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia come to mind. I know things are tough in US, but I hope they are not there yet.

Right, so you think a technicality is enough to justify killing people. Jesus must be so proud. Numbers 35:31 Which version? Who's translation. For any of us to announce that we know the correct translation is hubris. We have a vague idea at best.

They have a clear policy on this. They will happily accept it and do both checks at the same time. Of course you will have to pay for both of them. I am not sure the value of the thing is worth doing them both.

As distasteful as it is, an employment contract is just that, a contract.

Erm... the sixth commandment? So you mean good news for Jews.
-
While some Christians would call this good news, many would not. That is also true for non-Christians. I am not sure of the connection.

$98.00/oz for the cost of the facility. Only in the government sector.

what was the worst canopy youve ever jumped?

Your profile says you have only been jumping for 15 years. Please tell me that is not true. -
Probably it just reflects the fact that athiests/agnostics are not denying it as much any more.

I wonder how many of them have been turned off by some of the more fundamentalist Christians who say that only born-agains (or KJV, or whatever) are "real" Christians. I have a friend whose minister wouldn't marry her and her Methodist husband because he wasn't a "Christian." Religion seems to be trying to drive wedges between its people just as political dogma does; something to differentiate, and make the differences (whether perceived or real) "significant" enough to warrant people's focusing on. Wendy W. Nothing new there. Catholics and mainstream Protestants have been doing that since Martin Luther. Now It's Mainstream Protestants and Evangelicals. Are you the Judean People's Front FUCK OFF! We're the People's Front of Judea. I thought we were the People's Popular Front of Judea. No, that's him over there. SPLITTER!

More than anything I am afraid of having it presented to me, (like cancer) and just waiting for it to happen.

I love it when other Christians gnash their teeth over the catholic church. If you don't count the Catholics, Christianity is little more than a minor cult. The majority of Christians alive today and the overwhelming majority of Christians who have ever lived have been Catholics. ALL Christians up until the sixteenth century were Catholics, but you guys stand there and proclaim that the belief structure from the time of your holy messiah until then was a croc of shit, but now you know the truth. What a joke. Are you the Peoples Front of Judea? FUCK OFF! We're the Peoples Popular Front of Judea.

3 years for throwing a shoe - that's fucking stupid

She's not directly responsible for the slaughter of all those innocents You you are arguing the "He had it coming" defense. I don't want those principles applied to the justice system where I live. I do agree with the defense's position that the charge of "insulting a foreign leader" would have been more appropriate. -
Bill we need a grumpy old man pulling his pants up to his chest complaining about the young punks these days icon.

No one wants to jump with a newbie :(

You don't need a B to do 4 way in US. -

No help from Alberta. Mercier is out of the industry and there is no one left from when you were here. -
The wind chill got all the way up to -33 today.

Maybe folks can go out to the burbs where all those empty houses are and "Guerrilla Garden" all those nice sub-urban back yards.

I doubt it was meant to. I don't think the decision was meant to shut down avenues of research (like Bush did), it was to open them up. I am not suggesting he wants to shut down avenues of research. I am suggesting that in a world with limited resources, the ban on embryonic stem cells in US would have the economic effect of shifting resources toward finding alternatives (and fleshing out serendipitous leads) that would have been directed elsewhere under different circumstances. Your basic "necessity is the mother of invention" argument used by the environmental lobby wrt fuel taxes.

As nice as the idea may sound, a line item veto would be far too easy for the President to abuse and could upset the checks and balances between the executive branch and the legislative branch. Doesn't the Governator have one in California? Fortunately in a democracy you can change the terms of reference for the SCOTUS (ya, I know it isn't easy). This would give people a chance to really consider whether to make it as hard to override as a full bill veto, or something less onerous.
