  1. What made this case interesting is the fact that there was precedent. In 1990 an Iraqi deserter argued if front of the refugee board that he deserted rather than invade Kuwait. He was given asylem. BTW the current case also tried to get out of the fighting in Afghanistan. He's just a coward.
  2. Because your constitution is under attack, that's why.
  3. My best advice is to get a coach to watch or, better yet, video your landings. Nobody here can realy give you much advice without seeing you land. BTW are you remembering to keep your eyes on the horizon, or are you looking down. PS I think a greenie should send this to safety and training.
  4. I used to do that with hockey players saying obviously. Obviously I don't do that anymore, obviously, because of the strike.
  5. I've had 1500' openings on tandems and they really do take a long time (like fifteen seconds).
  6. Kevin, Norway's extraterritorial application of their laws is not unique. Here in Canada our anti child prostitution laws are applied extraterritorially; if you go to Thailand to fuck the little boys and girls the crown is still coming for you. The US is a country that practices extraterritoriality extensively, and not just against its own citizens. A basic example would be the heroin importing laws. It is against American law for me to import heroin into Canada( and against Canadian law to import it into the US). This is used to arrest people in international waters when they could argue reasonable doubt about which country they were planning on landing in. Is it not illegal for you to fly up to Montreal and then go on vacation in Cuba? A couple of years ago congress wanted to pass a law enabling the confiscation of American assets of foreigners who were directors of companies that did business in Cuba. The US may not regulate your behavior when abroad exactly the same as they do in other countries, but to say they don't do it is just wrong. BTW: I can own a gun, drive a land yacht, and don't pay $7/gallon just like you. At least I don't think I do, how many inches in a gallon again? I keep forgetting
  7. I just want a migrant labour(err labor) visa. Alberta in the summer/ florida in the winter.
  8. Auto parts stores have the stuff for you to dilute 20:1. Fuck that, just pour it on.

  15. Quotei know everyone hates high gas pump prices, but it is a statistically proven fact that when oil and gas prices are high it's a sure sign of a growing and healthy economy. Quote Prpoblem is the growing and healthy economy causing these prices is in China. Wait a minute, we sell oil.
  16. Reporter: Did you visit the Acropolis? Shaquille: We went to a lot of nightclubs. I don't know all the names.

notachance. The new DZ's in Alberta (Canada's Texas); no commies allowed.
  18. Actually we will be using IAD for our civilians and D-bag static lines for the military contract. And yes Rob does know this; he is busy doing the maintenence on the rigs now.
  19. You said that you only go out on weekends. This is when the instructors are most busy. That is not unique to Perris. If that is when you have days off then that is when you are going to be there. Are you there first thing in the morning? Are you there at the end of the day? Between 10 or 11 and about 3 most staffers are hair straight back on big DZs If you are there at sunset with a beer for the instructor, I'll give you dollars to doughnuts they'll make time for you. If they still can't help you then it's time to try a different DZ.
  20. If they aint got wings(uits) they go first. I am neither as old nor as grumpy as riggerrob, but i have no interest in leaving a Cessna any other way than from sitting facing the tail; it's just unnecesary work.
  21. I have had Uk students pull up on numerous occasions. Generally what we do is look at the requirements for their program, help them achieve them, and sign their books with very clear notes as to what the student has achieved on the jump. most instructors will accept an instructor's signature for a task no matter where it's from. The final sig for you license will have to be got at home, but if your instructor will not accept the word of any foreign instructor for a specific task, find a new DZ.
