    I met this guy downtown today, and he gave me a Caravan! I don't know where it came from, but the fuel truck is full. The manufacturer called and said we don't have to pay for the new student rigs.

    I worked off-shore in the Arctic for seven years back in the eighties. Some thoughts: There is nothing to do on your time off so make sure you are getting paid twelve hours a day. In the position you are looking at you will have a lot of slow time to add to your twelve hours off. You need to ask yourself whether you can amuse yourself. Distance education, writing a book, or having a purpose on line are good (no DZ.com is not a purpose). If you constantly need social interaction with those around you, you will be sucked into the petty politics of the rig. This is bad, real bad. The food is unbelievable. you must go to the gym or you're gonna get fat. I ate smoked salmon eight or ten times a week for years. Do you know how expensive that stuff is? Jesus Christ! You will probably not want to do this forever. If you are not saving beaucoup dollars it is likely not worth it. Having two or three weeks off during boogie season rocks.

    In order for him to make the transformation from playful guy who steals the board to obsessed mission guy who shoots the girl you have to give it some traction. Having the character's transformation as evidence rather than consequence is poor cinimatography. It is undeserving of the masterpiece that the original was. There is a reason it was originally cut.

    Didn't like it. The whole thing with them stealing the board was exactly what the original character wouldn't do. The change from the guy in the hotel in Saigon, to the guy stealing the board, to the guy shooting the girl in the boat just isn't justified. I found it weakened his character so much it detracted from, rather than added to, the story

    Courts in British Columbia ruled the indecency laws here were discriminatory about six or seven years ago. I still see the defendant from the case riding down the highway on her bike, boobs-a-saggin'. It's not a pretty sight, but it is her right.

    I do, I do - but at least we have the same currency - theirs is 1,58 times ours and thats when I grab a calculator. And I didn't mention feet and pounds and stones and inches and yards... I forget, how many stone in a furlong?

    In Canada (and the US too, I believe) our insurance doesn't cover member to member claims, nor do we want it to. The waiver prohibits the action and it's a bit of a stretch to convince the court that the experienced jumper didn't understand the risk.

    Actually I don't have a case; that was my first post on this thread. The implication of my comment is that not only those drunk drivers who get into accidents are driving poorly. The same can be said for junior canopy pilots jumping over their experience/skill level.

    It's not funny, it's just dumb. Why would God cheer for a team that has never won? besides we all know that God loves the Cowboys. That's why they have the most superbowl rings and the most superbowls played in.

    Different places have different laws. Apparently You Yanks put people in prison just for growing dope! Is that really true? It seems like some kind of bullshit urban myth, but I've heard it from a lot of different sources. If you don't pay the fine you will have a warrant out in Quebec, and nowhere else. If you have an agreement between your state and Quebec you will hear about it from your authorities. Pay it then. I have ignored tickets from other jurisdictions within Canada several times. Sometimes they have caught up to me, sometimes they haven't. BTW Would you like to hear me whine about the hotel at PIA? Should I announce that I hate USA as a result?

    You can buy beer and wine at the corner store (they call it the Dep). It will be more expensive than in US but not that much. Go to the duty free store on youe way through the border to save money.
