Almost Quit Jumping -- Need Motivation!

Nothing wrong with quitting jumipng. It's not the end-all. This weekend I made my first jumps after 2 years away, and even though I can't fly worth a flip anymore, it's good to be back. Do you worry about how you'd react to a malfunction?

I always worried about "what if I pulled the wrong handle first...." Even though I practiced over and over, went over different scenarios in my mind, and basically thought about "what if" a lot, until my first malfunction I worried. I learned that I was more cool-headed about it than I thought I might be. On the 2nd even more than the first (both were spinning mals). So I do have a lot more confidence now than I did before. I do think about how quick I'd be with a high-speed malfunction. I believe that while it's better to think about it than not, I also think you can worry too much and create more problems for yourself than you resolve. Cairn Terrier!!! Punk is my newest dog. She's 6 months old and a HOOT! If I had a small enough picture, I'd attach it. The big dogs keep beating her up, though. She might come to enjoy it in time... Then there's the Blue Heeler....Lady Blue. She's the most fabulous frisbee dog I know. SMART!!! Corgi. Bosco is a worthless cattle dog. Of course I don't have cows, but he's worthless. Cute, though. I haven't read this whole thread, so forgive me if I'm out of sequence or something. IMO, you should ALWAYS pay the packer. Your gear is YOUR responsibility, regardless of the circumstance. It is your butt it's gonna save or not. If you choose to give your gear to someone whom you do not know, then you should expect any-ol-possible outcome. The think about B12, though, is that it is not "minutiae of nutrition." Without B12 you will lose your mind. Its effects are not subtle. But I really didn't bring it up because of that. I was really just making a point, that nutritionally you can get almost everything you need from a vegetarian diet. If it's an ethical dilemma, then not eating meat is not going to do you harm. B12 is not absorbed at all by the stomach. It is bound to intrinsic factor, travels to the terminal ileum where it is absorbed. That is the only place it is absorbed. Actually the stomach's parietal cells secrete Intrinsic Factor which is required for absorption of Vitamin B12 by the terminal ileum. But....still, B12 is not naturally in our diet, except for in non-vegetarian forms. I believe that it is the ONLY nutritional necessity that cannot be provided by a purely vegetarian diet.
