  1. ***'When I graduate I do plan on enrolling in an MBA program though - I'm not a 'sit at a termal and spit out code all day' kind of' well person...LOL*** I hear that. I don't want to stare at a terminal writing code for a living. That's for the MATRIX type people. I'd rather take apart a machine and put it back together any day. My job was the best in the world. Kinda like being an automechanic on multi-million-dollar computer systems. Nothing like doing white collar level work in a blue collar environment (I get to have some cake and eat it too!!!).
  2. My undergrad is a BS in CS. The BS will help you considerably if you intend to further your education in Computer Science and/or some Information Systems/Programming type of curriculum. Before aquiring my masters degree, I had to go back and complete Statistics at the 200 level - which was time consuming, if nothing more, during the last semester of grad school. Corny rule at good old Drexel. Most employers aren't going to care if you have an arts or science degree. It is really more for the intent of furthering education. Good luck making the decision!!!
  3. My guess is that you'll know how to figure it out on your own. Here is an idea that may help. Try answering the questions regardless of school attributes. List your values on on a seperate piece of paper than the schools. What is important to you while in Law School over the next 3 to 5 years?.... 1.having spending money during law school, 2.the prestige of a better university and what that may provide 3.location 4.even skydiving if it is important, etc. ? etc. etc. Answer as many questions, to yourself, about the things important to you - particularly over the next few years. Make a list of them. After that, associate these values with the different schools. Put them in order of importance to you personally. It's an easy way to sort out your priorities from a distant perspective. After that, place each college name next to the ones that best fulfill that attribute/value. This may provide you with an arial view of your decision. And we all know that arial views are the best ones. Good luck.
  4. Sincerely, I am not surprized about your acceptance, Nightingale. . . . .. . . . . but . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . C.O.N.G.R.A.T.U.L.A.T.I.O.N.S.!.!.!.!
  5. Great shots Sporto!!! Likin those jumpsuits too; Are they new?

    a WTF link

BREAKDANCE works pretty good. The first time he did the worm on the floor. The second he moon-walked.
  7. Never SHIT where you eat.
  8. In a serious tone, and having thought about all possibilities, there is NOTHING bad that could come out of this. So don't even try it. But thanks for the vote of confidence turtlespeed.
  9. Hey smiles! No, I don't drink much...it isn't my poison. Besides I am saving for that drink I promised. However, I have been 'partying' today. Having much fun lately cause of some NICE changes around the office. I edited the post to make it a little easier to understand. coming down = bad spelling
  10. So proud to say that I do not pay for TV either. WTF is that dude? Yeah, PRECISELY what I want to hypnotize myself to before falling asleep at night.
  11. Elaine, at Crosskeys, has a dog named "SLIDER". However, a lot of the girls started calling him TOGGLE after a few beers! The many parties at Elaines camper. A good way to start the summer. hohum
  12. Perhaps the Wingsuit jump along the beautiful coast of Puerto Rico or was it one of the big ways in Pahokee or ... well, I could go on and on...
  13. The head of my department, who 30 men couldn't ever stand, just resigned!!! F'N said, "SSSSSsssseeeya!" Sweeet. (My Life) - (1 more ASShole) =
  14. By the end of last season I was sliding, most of the time, up to a complete stop. That is really fun, but I have to admit that my VANS enabled that for me. Hopefully, these allow for it.
  15. Nice one Quade, I remember learning that from like 8th grade.
  16. It isn't like that at all. I PARTICULARLY feel like "jumping shoes" are a great idea. Freeflyis about expression baby! Whether it be through your jumpsuit, helmet color, shoe style or type ...or whatever; even out in public dude. The Form-Follows-Function philosophy works great for skydiving. These shoes are rugged, comfortable, ventilated, kinda stylish in color, able to be worn in public as something stylish, and they hide my toes (you know the deal on that one - YauuhK! ; something we could all benefit from!!!) And dude, NO, they aren't sponsoring me. The VANS/Airwalk/converse thing could pull most of those things off too. But let's face it ladies and gents, they'll always be the quintessential casual wear.
  17. If it doesn't, it may be time to think about getting into a more exhilarating sport.
  18. I wouldn't clone a pet. 50k to try duplicating a cat personality - ah nope! What is the guarentee that you'll end up with a similar personality? It isn't like the movies where you won't have to train them the same way again. The question to everyone now should be, would you do it for $1K.
  19. Hey, this stuff takes time to be consistent at man! It only sounds as though each of you may be overcompensating for the relative-position and being within a close proximity. Remember you're dealing with two different skydivers, with two different perspectives, on a 3-D axis. Be careful with what you are doing. Keep eye contact with the person you are flying with throughout the dive. Also, take a look at your partners body position - it will help you determing their vector (direction of movement) and velocity (speed). If you are quickly decisive up there, this can also speed up your anticipation time. 50 seconds and 180mph winds calls for speed-thinking up there; try to improve on this as well as you do more jumps.
  20. EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports). But you can get info on them online at: www.keenfootwear.com They are the same price, over the web, as they are at the store...90 bucks. There are some really nice colors posted for the women's side as well. Like I said, you can custom order whatever they have - so I checked the chicks side to see what was offered. Good luck. They were EXTREMELY comfortable too.
  21. Good point. I've met a lot of people who fall into those things. The truth about being in business for yourself means paving your own way. Going into side-shows that sweep the country, whether it be herbal, AmWay, MailOrder, selling Meat, TeleMarket, or having to do with Paid Advertising on TV at 3:00AM, this isn't the same thing as "working for yourself". If you want to start off right... get an idea, read a lot of books about it, invest some cash, and use the rewards to build the business larger. It is that simple folks.
  22. Please keep the gloves up. But I'll try to add it Ivan!
  23. I just found these at a store near my house. Kinda groovy and just right for freeflying (I think!) or skydiving in general. The bottoms look real good for standing on in the air and the top is totally vented. They are comfortable - as hell!!! All of the material is waterproof -even the leather ones. They also make a Vegan-Friendly kind (the one on top in the picture). I think there is also a service to custom order colors... several different variations and custom color stitching. The company is called Keen. Which one of these do you think is a better pick?
  24. I started a business about 1 1/2 years ago. It's great!!!! AND I LOVE IT. I firmly believe that my life is less stressful knowing that, when I retire, my business could be capable of providing me with financial freedom. Provided that I nourish the business along the way. I saved for years-and-years to be ready to start one (despite starting skydiving too) In other words, the initial investment was generous. THIS HELPED A LOT. It allowed me to skip over a few possible years of agony or wondering if it was going to work. ...Well, you must also understand that I also have a full time job in addition to the business. My job-work takes care of my lifestyle (skydiving and all other misc. expenses) and the business is a means to retire early. It will remain an entity among itself - continuing to grow and compounding upon itself. And, in general, I am good at managing responsibility and keeping schedules. I am a very self-disciplined person and being responsible is part of my nature - the business allows my to put this part of my personality into motion; very rarely will you get true satisfaction from working FOR others. At least, I never will. ...I don't know. "Enjoy" isn't the way I look at it; although, I have recently understood the fact that I DO "enjoy" the challenges of the business. It is something that I have created from scratch..., it takes discipline to run it, and even the smallest problems shouldn't be taken for granted. ...1) Read as many books as you can on owning businesses. Particularly ones that are about the TYPE of business that you are going into. They'll provide you with the specifics that you need; moreover, they also stimulate the mindset that you'll need to succeed in the area. 2) More advice - study TAXES. You wouldn't believe how much leverage the knowledge of loopholes and tax-breaks can give you along the way! 3) Become a politician with the people who pay you - know what they want/like and provide that for them at all costs. ...Going into business for myself was the BEST thing that I have ever done. For the TAX benefits alone, it is absolutely more rewarding than I have ever seen working for someone else. Starting a business is a good education in the mindset/system that the government has set up for us - financially (Capitalism - yum yum ). Don't get me wrong - it is a lot of work. Just make sure you structure you business to suit your lifestyle. I work, on average, for about 12 hours per day during the winter. And I just happen to have the ability to do this (I'm as free as they come - no wife, no children). Hope this info helps.
