I was an avid snowboarder. In the summer, I was F'N bored until skydiving came along. Thank God for that!!!

Could someone give an example of a GOOD and BAD context for the word Chick? Truly, I am glad that this is being posted! I was told by one girl (one time) a long time ago that the word chick was an insult to women and I believed it. So, I usually try to avoid using it in front of girls. Now, it is no-holds-bard. But I'd still like to know what would be considered what is rude and not-rude.

I really gotta disagree with your statement. I've owned three types of rigs since beginning freefly and I only can recommend one of them. It's true that some companies have better qualities than others, but my answer was for overall quality construction and safety.

There is not another sport like it! It's a social blast! This is rare in many cases. You get to freefall and fly. No other sport allows this. You get to ride and land a parachute. A nice way to end a skydive (which is really an adrenaline rush) if you ask me. You get to hang out on plane rides with your friends and see them in the sky with you at 160+ mph. Try holding a candle to this one. The parties at night are the best. No comparison - let's face it. It is a small enough sport that, after years of doing it, you bump into people that you know all over the country/world. One of the things that I am enjoying more and more as my time in the sport grows larger. The celebrities in the sport (i.e. the professionals and the best of the best) are usually within a drive of your DZ. ...They are also, 9/10 times, willing to share the most valuable information about becoming a more-skilled skydiver. ...And they are usually very approachable people and so happy to help. ...What other sport in the world has pro's at your disposal like that? Most everyone likes to party. yum yum Travelling is highly encouraged. one of MY fav's to do I could go on and on and on but...can everyone else help me add to this list???

If your life became a film - who would play you?
Vertifly replied to damion75's topic in The Bonfire
That is a VERY good question to ask everyone. Creative Damion! hmmmm let's see... Tom Cruise could probably pull it off. Although, he'll have to put on some muscle if he is going to portray me in my 20's. -
Scott, you did do very well. Very impressive flying for someone with your numbers man!! At project horizon (and on any larger formation) the base consists of only the better-skilled flyers - so don't sell yourself short. You rocked it at the SOBE boogie. Having a stable base is what makes big ways cook at the right temperature - you dig? Peace out.

Have we met? My thread really doesn't "SEEM" like anything but an appropriate response. or shall I resort to asking about your experiences in the shower. Your response would probably be along the lines of, 'well, there was this one time.... at band camp...' LOL
