  1. It depends. If you do a hop`n`pop its almost nothing. Short and T-shirt gives a different drag than an overall in terminal speed.
  2. You can have the same with LASEK or PRK without any life lasting risk.
  3. I have one. It's not a hell after 50 jumps, but the first 20 pack job suck much.
  4. I was reading everything about that a year ago. I got my PRK done in the most recommended place by their patient. I have not regret it.
  5. Do you need a degree to give an advice? I have given some links, one of the is the page of the medical center I got my treatment. Having a LASIK and an accident you may loose your sight. You don't have that risk with PRK or LASEK. Some doctors and medical centers are pushing LASIK. Know you options and choose wisely. A painful week is not a big price if you compare the danger of the other procedure. So I've been there, done that and I still know the risks I was briefed about. Watch your advice too. Skydiving is not equivalent with driving, eye and/or brain surgery.
  6. Some nice reading for LASIK: http://lasikdisaster.com/. Think twice. There are other ways. A week of pain is better than a not healing cut.
  7. Sure. Have PRK or LASEK instead. Like I did. http://www.optik-med.hu/lezeres-szemmutet.php?TitleID=11&lang=en Edit: url added From the text: LASIK : The flap will never grow back so it can tear off, for example, in a car or sporting accident.
  8. Nope? I can have 10 bucks for that.
  9. Sure. That's not a perfect name for a perfect canopy.
  10. Yeah. I see you have a curse. Getting on the Bounce Bingo list on the Ranche and now someone wants to kill you for the $100 pot. Grow up and come back when you have an identity. Edit: Spelling...
  11. Yeah. You'll be relaxed later. I was really relaxed before breaking my ankle. Honestly after my last 2 reserve rides I have a bad feeling almost before every boarding of a jump-plane and its going away when I get back to the packing area after landing.
  12. Some people just growing old and never growing up. Greets from Finland !
  13. Please correct me! AFAK quarter the slider is the official/recomended way: put against the stops and put it equally between front, back and the sabilizers.
  14. Do you quarter the slider? You may use a _little_ rear risers on snivel.
  15. What is super-terminal? AFAK off-heading opening can be a problem with big-ways. I can't see any real problem with your openings.
  16. Are you talking about a terminal or a sub-terminal opening? What problem can cause surge forward? What big-ways are you planing ?
  17. Yeah, All square the same, basically. Do your homework! Check Faqtor. Why do they offer with 2 different line sets?
  18. Yeah. In Immola(Finland) there is a town, lakes, highway, railroad, forest and power lines.
  19. I love my Pilot and I have not tried any 7cell ZP yet, just F111 >200sqft. I prefer 9cell from the beginning though I`ve tried 7cell too.
  20. I think that's not going that way. First of all grounding is about motivation. A skydiver wants to jump. Anyway if A is grounded, he/she won't endanger you or others. A might go other places if he/she wants to jump while in B place he/she is gounded. At least he/she might avoid the same trouble or getting so bad reputation that he/she can not afford. IMHO grounding someone for a reasonable time is good and this BB is quite OK. For those upset ones: it's no point to piss against the wind. It's better to be on a BB list than in a fatality/injury report.
  21. Nice idea, patriot! Don't you think it's a bit early?
  22. AFAK Pilot is _not_ elliptical. It's just tampered. Correct me, but I've read Pilot has the same panform like Solo (Student).
  23. If you jump in a dense environment round reserve is not a good choice.
  24. Don't make it complicated. Ask your instructor.
  25. I have a Pilot. I had 90+ jump with it. I like it.
