  1. Dont have sex? That could be a cure for some people.
  2. No, actually there are different types of Ginseng, the cheap stuff that doesnt work and the expensive stuff that does, from what Ive learned. They dont put the expensive stuff in energy drinks. Panax Ginseng is crap, taken it before and it doesnt work. The one Im referring to is American Ginseng made in Wisconsin, and the only place Ive seen it was at that restaurant in SD, dont know where else to get it from. Boiling the root takes a long time and is a pain in the ass, but the effects are worth it. Dont want to advertise the place, but if anyone is in SD I can PM the location. If anyone else knows where to get the AM Ginseng root...post it! This restaurant told me Id have to go to LA if they ever run out.
  3. Just thought I might contribute something useful to the forum instead of, well, the usual... Went to this small Chinese restaurant in SD and found these American Ginseng roots, so I boiled one, chopped it up, reboiled it until the soln was dark yellow. Now, I get up in the morning groggy as hell, after hitting the snooze button about 10 times. Heat this stuff up, and after only a few sips....WHAM!!! Man, you can feel it, a full bodied type of alertness like you had never slept in the first place! And, it doesnt wear off like coffee does, and, well they say, its actually good for you so the more you take the better. I dont take more than a small amout of the soln I described because its really powerful, dont want to go through the roof. Ive been stockpiling it for some time now, its like gold....only better. Id be willing to bet it even does something to calm you nerves, you know like when you go out the door? Anyway, the sense of alertness and stamina is from this stuff is like nothing Ive ever felt. Just thought Id pass this information on.
  4. Ummm, I looked up your profile, and, you live in Huntsville? Somehow this incident doesnt surprise me. An incident like this in East Texas wouldnt surprise me, but especially not Huntsville. Im from East Texas originally and right now temporarily living in downtown San Diego till I find a better job and place to live, but I see less crime there than I ever had in Houston. More nut cases and bums, definitely, but less crime like the one you are reporting. I dont know, maybe its time for a move?
  5. Wait a minute.... 1. Got us out of the Clinton-Gore recession? Recession??? As I recall, the economy was booming, jobs everywhere, until Bush came in office, and down everything went, thousands of jobs lost. And no, it isnt the terrorist bombing of the twin towers that bought the economy down, that was two years ago and something from two years back isnt going to effect the economy now. 2. Great first tax cut? Are you serious? That tax cut wasnt enough to piss on. 3. Those "draconian EPA standards" keep what is happening south of the border from happening here. I wonder, have you ever been there? Or are you just talking, like so many other Bushies? I have to wonder how much indutrial filth you wouldnt mind living in. "Draconian" describes what Bush did to this economy, "draconian" is a college grad with 10 years of experience, who is shovelling dirt because he cant find a job in Bushs new economy. This is about one thing, and Ive been saying this all along. Its about those who are doing well vs those who arent, rich vs the poor, been going on for thousands of years. Lets put it simply: Rich, well off, independantly wealthy, business owner or corportate exec: vote for Bush Poor, working class: vote for Kerry Really, its that simple!
  6. I don't know... I personally don't give a shit about who he was sleeping with. He did an Ok job running the country. I say 'ok' because there isn't really a way to make everyone happy. There will always be people who disagree and people who agree with what is being done by the president. (One of the pluses of being a democratic society.) I certainly don't think he did any worse than the rest of em. For the most part I agree with you. But as for an OK job......can you name three things Clinton accomplished as President? And don't tell me he balanced the budget because congress controls the purse strings.......but I will give you this one if you want. Two more? 2. Boosted the economy which flourished under the Clinton administration 3. Kept the country out of silly, ridiculous conflicts like the Bush conflict in Iraq And I say "Bush conflict" because it isnt my war, its his war, and you wont see my waving my flag or offering any support there, and you sure as hell wont see me support things like what happened to those prisoners. Sexual perversion, torture, humiliation, political correctness, this is Bushs war and his mentality. Im not saying the Democrats are perfect or even a good choice, what I am saying is that anybody, and I mean anybody, but Bush is a good choice. Sadam Hussein would be a better choice.
  7. Christ. Is that the best you can do? He said that a full two years before he did raise taxes - he hardly could have predicted the future. The man was in office for a full four years and was a heavy hitter in Washington before that. Surely you can come up with something better than that. - Jim When the Republicans do it, its no big deal. When the Democrats do it, it warrants the attention of the federal grand jury (being sarcastic). I guess it really is no big deal that the Bushs lie since thats all they seem to know how to do anyway. Yea, okay, Bush lied. So what else is new? It doesnt do any good to argue the point. What does do some good is to get Bush out of office now and forever, because if that crook gets a second term where he can "finish the job", he really will turn this into a third world country and who knows what horrible surprises he has lined up. Unless you happen to be one of the richest 2% of the population, he's a commin' after you too. And if youre not, then I am bewildered at why you would support someone like that. Its all about money, and if you aint got it, then Bush aint on your side.
  8. Dont spend money on that newfangled crap, they dont make 'em like they used to. Get a Tommy Gun...Thompson automatic with a drum magazine http://www.nfatoys.com/tsmg/
  9. Okay, so Im going to get off the subject for just a moment. Today Im working at a construction site and my coworker is telling me that in California, if you insult someone who is gay, he can file criminal charges against you in terms of a "hate crime". I dont know the truth to this, it seems a little far fetched. Can anyone verify this? Sorry to get off the subject.
  10. Right about what? That he invaded Iraq because of WMDs, or that he invaded Iraq because "it was the right thing to do"?
  11. I'm waiting... $87 Billion, and you find NOTHING in 1.5 years - and now this... Clutching at straws... Why not swing a right and head to North Korea who is squealing that they DO have WMD's? Mmm? t North Korea can brag about their WMDs all they want, if they want Bush's attention, they better plan on finding a vast source of petroleum in their country.
  12. Has nothing to do with sex or being unfaithful. He was simply a bad and most likely the worst president ever. Why? Too many to list. How about I throw you one, though. He lied to a federal grand jury under oath. That says a lot about his integrity, honesty and ability to lead a nation. Speaking of lies.... "Read my lips...I will not raise taxes..." -George Bush Sr., before he signed a bill that raised taxes Then: Weapons of mass destruction - the reason why Bush waged war with Iraq Now: "Because it was the right thing to do" - the 'current' reason why Bush waged war against Iraq, since the last reason wasnt working out too well Clinton lied about a personal interaction with a 19 year old girl, no real harm done other than a compromise to his marriage and negative mass media attention, Bush lied about the reasons for a political manuever that resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and hundreds of thousands of job losses in the US Which lie would you rather believe?
  13. Yea well, I guess I better figure out how to get rich here. At least there is a lot more going on here than in Pheonix and housing there is beginning to climb. Why I dont know, its hot as hell, dusty, no ocean....not that cheap to live there like everybody thinks.
  14. On the housing, I think the deal is that its expensive because of a housing shortage here which is highly regulated, supposedly its an environmental concern but I think its just to keep from having too many people move here. I noticed all apartment complexes here are never open on weekends, just weekdays from 9-5. Ive never seen that in any other place where they make it a point to be open on weekends. And they are expensive.
  15. OMG, thats funny! I guess its all relative, but at least there's never a boring moment!
  16. Okay so I got a few things to get off my chest. Ive taken a lot of weekends and vacations to California from Arizona, where I lived for the past five years, and always thought it was real cool to come here and get wasted, party, paddle out into the ocean. And then I would go back home, to Phoenix and get serious about life again. California was sort of a party place where you get away and live it up for awhile. But its a lot different when you live here, Im seeing this place from a totally different perspective. Its like everything just became "serious", youre here but you dont have anything to go back to now. I mean, this is it, and its either going to make you or break you. Different environment, everything different, everything in the fast lane. This isnt anything like just visiting here, to me its like this big culture shock. Sometimes I wish I could just go back to Arizona for a while and take a break, and then come back and try to adjust. But...thats no longer an option.
  17. Wow. My tastes run to men, but I've never had to "buy a guy" anyway. Ciels- Michele I dont cost much and I do windows
  18. Well, not really, just thought it would be a catchy connotation from the movie. After my layoff from a software engineering job in December, couldnt find another job in Phoenix so after 5 months of looking I ran out of money, couldnt pay the rent anymore, so I cleaned up the apt and turned it over to the management, put all my stuff in storage over in Phoenix, and with not much to live on, did the thing they used to do back along time ago....headed out west. So Im now living in San Diego, but I dont have a permenent place yet and still looking for one. But, and listen to this, I did get a job in new car sales at Courtesy Chevrolet in the auto circle, and a pretty good job at that. One that I think I will like a lot better than my situation back in Phoenix crunching code as a software engineer. Well, now Im in California, get to sell and "test drive" brand new cars, and looking forward to checking out a Corvette convertible and finding some cute superficial chick out on Pacific Beach who just wants to take a ride in a brand new vette. Man, thats the life! Something tells me Im going to like this a lot better than crunching code behind some cublicle in Phoenix, AZ. I like this, I really do, and I dont think I would ever go back to Phoenix for any reason. Just want to make it happen in the Golden State because I dont ever want to leave. And the surfing? Yep, dont have to drive six hours anymore, weve been having some pretty sunny weather lately. When I get the money, looking forward to jumping out over the coast and getting some of that 120 mph scenery. Havent had much luck finding a roomate, keep running into weirdos and "problem people" who want too much for a deposit, but no parking spaces so you can park your car. Anyone in San Diego who can help with this please help. Need to find a place I can call home for the very long term...permanent address, and for anyone that can help Ill give you a great deal on your next Chevy! Or maybe we can just take a cruise sometime in a vette with the top down and cruise PB and La Jolla. Need help San Diego...heeelllppp!
  19. Well what amazes me is that they so badly want to confiscate guns that they will dig up any excuse to do so. And thats questionable, why do they so badly want guns from people that are non-criminal while they at the same time dont even seem to be concerned with guns (like fully automatic Uzis) that are owned by street gangs? And thats not to mention how quickly you can get shot and killed in certain places like South Cental LA, but noone really seems to be concerned about it. Just guns owned by average people who arent any kind of a threat, or people merely accused of domestic violence who arent any where near as much of a threat as someone in the Bloods who doesnt like the color of shoes youre wearing... "Hey man, where you from?" Bang!!!!
  20. Get a really aggressive one, ask your local NRA to recommend one by name. Some twenty years back, a gang of druggies tried to kick down my brother's door in San Diego. He opened fire with a HK-91. So guess who got arrested and had all his guns confiscated ? The NRA put him onto a bellicose attny who got all charges dropped and weapons returned in about two weeks. In the meantime, his friends loaned him a few in case the lowlifes returned (they didn't). And get a Thompson semiautomatic....you know, the "Tommy gun"? Noice! Yea, got my eye on one for $950, uses a 30 rd mag and takes a drum (if you can afford a drum, 500-900 bucks for just one, but they hold 100 rds) Damn if they just dont make em like they used to....also look for the Colt 1911A1, and Colt SAA 6' barrel if you can afford one. Got the 1911, refurbished, issued in WWII, just sold a Colt 45 SAA New Frontier for 750 (needed the money)
  21. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS??? They cant do that! Dude, thats like them saying "turn over all your cars and any other vehicles you drive so you wont run over somebody" Have any of these idiots ever heard of "due process", the second ammendment, ect.? They cant just confiscate someones property just for the hell of it, or because someone wants to accuse you of something, thats ridiculous! Okay, advice... 1. Get a lawyer if you dont already have one, and 2. Take your firearms to another state and lock them up in storage. 3. They dont have jurisdiction in another state, so they cant search the storage unit for firearms. Fucking unbelievable.
  22. He was a joke in the Oval Office, but during that time, at least where I lived in Houston, TX, the economy was booming with more jobs than people to fill them. But that was in Texas, I think the rest of the country at that time was suffering. Im real suspicious of the Republicans and this Free Trade crap, which no average person likes, which his old man insisted on, which put a lot of people out of work. I dont know what makes me think it is being pushed again but not reported by the media. But youre right, the peanuthead was a dumbass to put it lightly.
  23. All I know, is that every time the Republicans are in office, there is a recession, and when people get fed up with the recession and want their jobs back, the Democrats get elected, the economy improves, and the jobs come back. Now, Im a conservative, and Im just calling it like I see it, and thats what Ive been seeing for years now: The Republicans in office: bad economy - there goes your job and you cant find another The Democrats in office: good economy - all kinds of jobs, take your pick All Im saying is, I have conservative ideals, but when youre out of work and no matter how good you are at your job you just cant seem to get hired anywhere, you start feeling like a complete loser, you cant pay the bills and youre wondering when youre going to be out on the street begging for money so you can eat, and all this, after you stuggled through five years of college and 10 years of experience in your carear field, and all you have to look forward to is that you hope you dont end out on the street, at this point, the ideals start to get weak, and you just want your job back and you just want to live your life again. Its the position so many of us are in right now, and the Republicans, at least on my end, are starting to look much less attractive this upcomming election. In my view, their plans for a good economy just isnt working. I see a few rich people doing okay and a lot of average people struggling for survival. I wish I could see it any other way, but looking back through history, you just cant deny the facts.
  24. LOL- l luv it!!! But you forgot the Texan awnser, Texan: First shoot him in the leg, then rip his tongue out and shoot him in the mouth, but leave him alive long enough to hang him, but just before he dies shoot him in the groin.
