  1. Just as a forethought...did you realize that it is a no brainer to *actually* lie about the number of jumps? Show you how to do it: 1. Edit your profile 2. Enter # of jumps you want people to think you have, OR, count the number in your logbook and enter that. Im not calling anyone here a liar about jump numbers, just saying it wouldnt be entirely difficult to lie about it, so why make assumptions about anyone based on a published number?
  2. 3K nothin' dude, if Im jumping out of a plane I want the 4-5K gear. Spend another 2K to stay alive. 5K, too expensive for most people. You can surf and skate all day without spending a dime (well, ok, beer and pizza, but thats beside the point)
  3. Because surfers are so much hotter than skydivers. DUH! Excuse me GirlfalldownOnMe, but most surfers arent very good looking. Sure there are the few blonde hair beachcomber types, but most look a little more beaten up (like me) There's just something about that sun damaged hair and pre-cancerous skin that makes me hot. Hotter than a limping, scarred, road rashed swooper? Stop it! You're getting me all excited! The whip! The whip!!!

Oh Gee, guess I better stop wearing sunscreen
  5. I dont think its for any other reason than its too hard to film a skydiving competition. If they did make it part of the X-Games, it would be a money making venture for skydiving cameramen. Do you think maybe its worth the effort to promote it? If you have the will there is the way.

  7. HERE'S mine You just gave me a very bad case of indigestion
  8. Yes I am! Leaving out of texas !!
  9. > 2 years since last jump = back on tandem Doesnt really matter, just doing it for stress anyway. Cant afford AFF yet.
  10. Been too long since the last jump, have to start out with tandems again. But I still have my logbook. I hear the winds pick up in the afternoon, so like every time I been there its been windy as hell, so Im assuming they only jump in the morning?
  11. Nostalgic man, gotta love it! So do you still do cutaways with a pocket knife? (kidding) Thats what I like about skydiving...its an open sport, anyone who wants to participate doesnt have to go at it alone. You dont have to be a member of some stupid club like youre in a college fraternity/ sorority, otherwise you get "left out".
  12. Gee arent we all? Man I got too many other things I need money for.
  13. Tandem, then two static lines and nearly had a fatality on the second. I wasnt on a reputable dropzone at the time, but it was a lot cheaper. You get what you pay for.
  14. Thinking about going up and jumping, then swimming while the water's still warm. Need to clear my head, too much shit going on.
  15. Yes, j0nes is officially a flamer now. And she coils back ready to strike....
  16. lemme help you out. Wouldn't suprise me if it drives the next generation of display technology either display_technology ++
  17. Ahem, tell that to anyone who's ever come off their board over the reef in Indonesia We're making fun of another thread.
  18. Skateboards are a lot more sturdy, and tough, They dont break in half in the water like some whimpy surfboard. And they dont need these dorky fins to keep them moving straight, instead, they have these really cool wheels that keep them going straight. And skateboarders are tough, when they fall they fall on hard pavement and brake bones instead of just 'taking a bath' and splashing around. Can you die on a skateboard? You bet you can. If you had your ass whipped into submission by a really cute skychick, and then you fall off a skateboard on your ass, the sheer pain alone can put you into a state of shock (or submission, whichever comes first). Some might see this as superficial or say, "I should be liked for me, not my size." That is just your justification for using a microscope and a pair of tweezers! Dig Deep and do it for yourself and your own health! What is it going to take? With a skateboard, you can skate between the sexy legs of beautiful women. Try doing that with a surfboard.
  19. Yeah.. blowing up your main is a reallly bad idea.. but the pretty blue reserve flew pretty good. OK, well, if you land on top of me I wont complain, just watch the speed. Make it hurt, ofcourse, but watch the speed.
  20. Uhhh, yea...slowing down would 'probably' be a good idea. Like the kind you get from bungie jumping? And get the cuffs too. Would want me getting away
  21. Slowpoke Hit the link on my sigline. And the finish line would be, I believe....the ground? Eeee, grisly. Turns me on though, now get that whip and lay it on...
  22. No no no, people, jeez....balance, then fitness, and certain muscles (mainly core balance muscles) have to be toned. Lifting wieghts isnt going to get you the 'kind' of muscles you need for surfing, for instance. Balance board, skateboarding, balance push ups, situps, swimming are all going to get you in shape for surfing. Skydiving involves a different kind of balancing act but it still requires balance...just in another sense. Youre using your bodys mass and volume to balance yourself in a 120 mph wind as opposed to shifting your weight towards your center of gravity.
  23. WUSSIE Hey it builds character... and.. well at least this way.. the best spots do not get Californicated. My all time favorite is a rock reef just to the south of Newport OR.. in the winter when the big swells roll down out of the Gulf of Alaska we would take the boat out across the bar swing to the south around the end of the reef and anchor inside. You are a mile or so off shore and can catch the 20+ footers. Man.. what a rush. Actually up here in the winter the water is warmer than it is in summer when the upwelling is bringing the cold stuff from down deep. Yea, right, WUSSIE, I dont want to build any character I just want to keep my limbs. If I see any whites Ill send em up your way And baby, you can Californicate my anytime Back to the subject of handcuffs and floggings...
