  1. Yes, I have an idea... you're not gonna like it though. I had a TRV19 and same thing happened to me -- I took it to the shop and we could not get it to repeat itself. I had an idea what it was, but ... well, another 10 jumps and it did it again. It most likely is the night switch on the side. My switch was fine, but something (wind?) was causing the internal stuff to malfunction and switch on the night switch even when the switch was not selected. Eventually I sold it on Ebay as a ground camera -- it never did it when used on the ground. Good luck!
  2. spin you around ... VERY nice tandem video!
  3. I use a Canon Rebel and LOVE it -- However as with any technology the price will go down as technology goes up. If you are buying a camera for skydiving I reccomend you wait until you have more jumps and by that time you can get it for less than if you bought it now and sat on it until you have 200-300 jumps.
  4. cnn (clinton news network) the voice of reason, fair and impartial, oh yeah!
  5. I use Premiere 6.0 and I'm very happy with it.
  6. Then I guess we're both happy -- that I'm an American and you're not.
  7. As one who is an American and proud of it -- regardless of who asks -- thanks for setting the record straight that you are NOT an American.
  8. Quades' FAQ is a good place to star. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1108540;search_string=FAQ;#1108540 As well, a the book, "Flying the Camera" by Patrick Weldon, available on most Skydive onlie gear shops.
  9. No, you do reduce the size. Here is a tutorial for a 4-way split screen -- see if it will work for a 2-way .. I made a 4-way video using this tutorial and it was easy! http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tutdes_quadpip.htm
  10. I edited out as I figured as much -- sorry about the preaching.
  11. Reminds me of when I was watching my two year old (he is 19 now) and I discovered him in the pantry sitting down with his hand in a wholesale size bucket of peanut butter and he looks at me and says, "mmmm, good!" Nah, he didn't get in trouble either.
  12. I'm actually half surprised anyone else knows who they are. Well, not my style of music, but some of them share the same last name. Wasn't the group Brother Phelps originally part of the KHH?
  13. Am I the only guy that thinks she is the hottest woman on TV?
  14. I'm thinking you look more like the drummer for the Kentucky Head Hunters.
  15. In my best SEINFELD imitation ... "and they're REAL!"
  16. I met Rick in 1989. He was saying all these things, but no one was listening to him because he was pastoring a church of 2K in a school building. Now he has a 20K mega church, EVERYONE is all ears. Lots of good truth in his book, which was truths from his purpose driven church lessons, sermons, etc., applied to everyday life. I highly reccommend it. I'm a gleaner. Even if you don't follow Christian teachings (I do) all truth is God's truth regardless of where you find it. An atheist could find many principles to apply to their lives. Christians will be assisted in finding their purpose, thus giving their life more meaning.
  17. Thanks for all the kind words -- I think I will print this thread out and give it to her as a belated birthday gift. I believe although she will protest that I put here picture up, she will be pleased to see your kind words! Thanks again! Lucky man Oh, in case you think she can't smile -- this is me and her last year in Cancun for her 50th birthday.
  18. My wife (of 30 years) turned 51 today. She doesn't like her picture taken -- can't figure why!!!
  19. As a kid, I wanted to be 6'5" and 225#. I made the 225# Still stuck at 5'10" and going the wrong direction!
  20. You listed Arlington in your profile -- easy mistake Say, did you hear about the Aggie who .... HOOK EM HORNS! (Texan living in OKIE land -- gawd what a predictament!)
  21. What the crap is this shit? Everyone knows that you root for OU! Why? because they are playing tu. Dude, you're from Arlington and you say "tu"??? It is UT! (unless I'm missing some inside joke, and for that I say ....)
  22. [beginning] skydiving IS expensive! Too many prices and variables for a poster (video, stills, AFF, tandem, IAD, different AFF prices on each levvel, yada, yada, yada) -- that's why the website address is prominant.
  23. In the military -- gripes go UP -- not DOWN ... not to family ... not to civillians. At least that is the way it use to be.
  24. Let's see... family names are as follows. PHELPS: English MIRES: Irish HOMER: English FLEENOR German ANDERSON: Scandavian?? Typical Euro trash -- most people think I'm Mexican or Native American.
