  2. simply bad gums ... she needs to floss more. Her gums are swollen from improper care.
  3. Congrats Kalyne! New job and living in FL!!! I'm envious! Things have a way of working out. Romans 8:28
  4. Thanks, John: PM sent for more advice.
  5. No offense taken. The promo lists the main players at the DZ. (DZO, pilot, AFFI, TM, etc) It has a "DZ" feel. The credit line shows "I" (skydivevideo.info) made this VIDEO.
  6. Well, wht do you think of my closing credits? Too "Ferris Buehler"? Too corny? http://www.skydivevideo.info/SDV_end_credits_05A.wmv
  7. I wonder how much that will cost for the entire team to buy tickets?
  8. Excuse any vidiot's lack of tact becuase we must answer the same question every month. Do a search on the subject next time and you will read over 100 posts on this very subject. Let me know when tunnells teach altitude awareness and emergency procedures Ex-SF here, ODA 552 - 5th SFG(A) -- unless you are flying video or doing RW in your HALO team -- how does that mean you're ready to strap a camera on your head? Jump video when you can safely fly your slot, not too slow or too fast.
  9. I thought I read several threads about SIGMA lenses causing error problems on Canon cameras. Maybe I'm wrong -- better do a search for 'sigma and canon'
  10. I have about 100 jumps with it and no problems so far, except I need a photography course. I depend too much on sports mode and auto focus. Works fine for 99% of the day time shots. Shots at sunset .. now that is another issue.
  11. Reflect back on THAT statement when your 18 month old is 25. I raised 4 kids, 25, 22, 21, & 19. I'm sure I failed them many times. But they still love me and I love them too ... inadequacies and all.
  12. IMHO ... age should never be a factor in skydiving. Physical ability? Yes, age??? NO! One man's 65 is a good (if not better) than many man's 35.
  13. Gotta weigh in here. I was a RT in the 80s. I've seen COPDs skydive. It depends on there level of COPD. I just videoed a lady with COPD. She did fine. Yes, your O2 exchange is compromised, but maybe not at the level of making you quit. Try it -- do less stressful jumps (hop n pops) and see how you do. Good luck! POPS statement: You don't quit skydiving because you get old; you get old because you quit skydiving. JMHO
  14. hey, no prob Steve. She is BEAUTIFUL!!!
  15. Me too, especially when they're my baby's baby!
  16. I had to add the granddaughter to make the picture beautiful ... thanks for the opportunity to show her off, 2001 and 2004
  17. Michele: I design websites, logos and have illustrated magazines such as GH, BH&G, TV Guide, SEP, Ebony, etc. I know something about art. That being said. The card may not say anything about Real Estate, but it says something about you. I think that is important. I bet people will remeber YOUR card among many others with little houses, for sale signs, and roofs on them. I say go with it! However, I would consider a more abstract canopy logo. But I like it either way.
  18. I still design a lot at 8X6 because that is what they want, but I've been adding stuff on the right so it will look okay with wider resolutions. Things like banners, addresses, coupons, and other "non essentials".
  19. You better check my sight ... I take pictures , I post.
  20. You did great Sarah, reserve ride and all. Hmmmm, about that altitude ...
  21. I don't know you buddy, but I lost my mom 21 years ago this December. I pray the "peace of God that passes all understanding" will comfort you and your family as it did me. God bless,
  22. Here are some more. http://www.skydivevideo.info/aff.html
  23. Hey! I represent that remark! the old one-eyed sky pirate!
  24. I've jumped level one demos for a while -- but today I'm jumping into a big stadium. I was tempted to wear my camera and just "record" the jump. I'm a tandem/aff vidiot and I know as much as think I could just record the jump, I would be trying for the shot. For me, its not worth it. Jumping into a big stadium with just over 500 jumps and a new PRO rating will take all my concentration. Adding a camera to the mix is a recipe for trouble ... right now. There will become a time when that is easier ... I'll wait, just as guys below 200/300 jumps should wait before they strap a camera to their head. JUST MY OPINION.
