    Holy Smack-aroni...that is cheap to spend some time in the air with Nate. He's gooooood! I spent some time with Dave Brown and learned TONS but it was NOT cheap yet still worth every penny ! Oh to be rich so I could afford to make a coach jumps EVERY weekend, until I am solid on my head. ho-hum! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    Plans for #300 as of right now are simple - going to make my first head down jump with my boyfriend (where as he does not have to hold me in place). He's been away for a few weeks and I've been jumping my ass off (plus got some coaching last weekend). He's gonna be so surprised (and proud of me ) Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    Yup...did the porter for both my night jumps in Deland I haven't got to play on the BIG puppies yet...DC something or another and that other big ass plane like at Rantoul that does the high speed pass. Cessna (1), Helicopter (1), Porter (2), Casa (13), Caravan, Otter and Skyvan (more than I can count). Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    I know Sebastian is doing something as well.....putting on a "big feast" FOR FREE for anyone who is around the DZ, so no one has to be alone or spend the day with annoying relatives .     I know it is not one of those COOL milestone jumps but it was one of those "other little goals" I had set for myself, back in the day. Now with STILL over 2 months until my first "sky birthday", wonder what other goals I can set for myself. Have hit 13 drop zones so far (3 more that I can think of before bday)....Have jumped 7 different types of aircraft (soon to add 1 more in Eloy). Things are good - hope everyone has a happy turkey day! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    Well I hit 299 on Sunday and decided to hold for 300 until my man comes back to play with me in the sky THIS WEEKEND......Sooooooo, unless I do TONS of jumps in the next 3 weeksand get close to 400, I will no longer be celebrating a "00" in Eloy.....BUT I will surpass Canuck's first year total number of jumps WITHOUT A DOUBT! Not long now.......I've already found a radio station that is playing Christmas musci 24/7...lovin' it! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    Yup...agree on that one! Made 13 solo headdown "attempts" only to do my first coach jump and realize sometimes what you THINK is saving money, really isn't....and what you think is headdown, really isn't.     Well all I can say about what OTHERS say about ANY dz is for YOU to form your own opinions once you visit the place. I heard all sorts of things about different places and for the most part, have found out first hand none of them were true. As for sunny vibes - enjoy the peacefulness of the snow. I'm originally from NJ and miss the snow, although love the FL weather for my new love (skydiving). Are we "post whoring" this thread? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    I just started liking sweet potatoes and these sound yummy! Have to try them. Sounds wierd but a simple, easy and yummy PRE-Thanksgiving dinner snack..... 2 packages cream cheese (softened) 1 small can tuna (drained) 1 tbls. tobasco sauce 1 tsp. worshtishire sauce 2 heaping tablespoons miracle whip dash of salt and pepper 1 cup chopped walnuts Mix everything less the nuts until nice and creamy. Put onto plate and shape like a ball with spoon. Cover with chopped nuts and let chill for 1 hour. Serve with favorite crackers! YUMMY! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    I just did 3 coach jumps with Dave Brown this weekend and my transitions were a small trouble spot for me. He suggested me keeping my legs tucked up a bit longer and not opening up to quick (if I am explaining that correctly). I would be in my sit, get almost half way around and start opening up....nope....stay a bit tighter with hands more to my sides and not "grabbing" for the air. It's all about the legs FOR SURE with head down transitions. Man do I know that know....ankles, ankles, ankles....thumbs, thumbs, thumbs

    It went FABULOUSLY.....Dave Brown is simply an AMAZING coach. We talked before the jumps to discuss "the plan", then we did the jumps, talked more afterwards and reviewed the tape. Let me tell ya, I am buying myself a Barbie/Ken doll for reference. It was so cool to watch my tape, stop it at key points and then shape the doll into what I was doing and then understand what I need to do to correct it. By the 3rd coach jump let's just say I was not so quick to pop to my feet and transition. I was determined to stay on my head, and did...but also could see how much I move around. Dave Brown is a good focal point though Now I can take what I learned, try and master it and then get a few more. It's all good - I'm willing to work! Have a super turkey day gang!     Hey GOAT ~ I remember ya and I made 3 coached jumps with Dave Brown this weekend. They were great, I can see I still need lots of work but he is such a GREAT teacher. I learned lots for sure and will now spend some time absorbing and TRYING MY DARNDEST to master those skills then I will FOR SURE make more with him. Let's just say, but the 3rd jump I was not so willing to pop to my feet and transition, I was determined to stay on my head - and I did! Have a fabulous turkey day!     Sweetie...if they are REAL friends, they will sort through whatever THEY are feeling about what YOU have going on - and if they love you as a true friend should - they will accept it and pick up the phone. Right now, although not always easy to grasp, is that YOU have to do what makes YOU happy and hope that EVERYONE in your life understands. Been there, done that....as someone said previously - you have new friends in the skydiving realm of thigns and you are not alone.
