Well Jeanne...if I love my first jump (12/26 AM) and have enough cash by 1/1 and if there is still room on 1/1 - maybe I'll make another balloon jump (that's just a handful of regular jumps and I really want to hit 400)

Well let's see...my first tandem - it was 54 degrees on the ground with a 12 mph wind (pretty damn cold the first time I was ever standing in the door). A few weekends ago we got our first cold front and some high winds. It was in the 50's on the ground and DAMN cold up top - so cold that after first jump I bought a long sleeve shirt from drop shop and put gloves on. Think that is the coldest I've jumped in so far .........I'm not a wimp - I am from New Jersey and know how to "dress properly" for the cold Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

DUH.......skydive! This will be my first year away from "home" and I couldn't be happier. How weird is that...but it is also my first REALLY big skydiving trip. 8 days of skydiving...8 days of nothing to think about but having fun......8 days of no work........... Hey fellow Jersey Girl....I am from Point Pleasant but now live in FL - and thank goodness. Weather is much nicer for skydiving in FL but Cross Keys was a total BLAST when I made a visit over the summer. Thanks Jason - what a sweet thing to say but ya know what - good things don't just happen if you sit around and wait for them...Gotta go get what you want and I want more then anything to be a really good free flyer. Would be cool to have other people recognize me for it as well but I am doing this for me because it makes me feel "complete"....as cliche as that might sound. It's work but at the same time I am finding a joy unlike any I've experienced before. I've been through a lot of "shit" in my life and this...well, this is all about me and what I can do to make ME happy! Lots of other good things happening along the way as well. I learn something on every jump...be it something about flying, something about me as a person or something about life in general. Funny how so many things relate...one big cirlce - this thing called life.... OK....off on a tangent. Thanks for all the support and "love" gang. Can't wait to meet and FLY with ya sometime soon! Weather in FL was incredibly cooperative up until Sunday....made 6 jumps from noon until 5pm on Friday, made another 7 jumps Saturday after the morning clouds busted and we weren't gearing up and down for weather holds...... Let's see.....first headdown dock (struggled but stuck it), first 15 minute call (and opening was decent as well). Sunset load - thought for sure I had lost my Van...First out, plane was adjusting for jump run, bumped foot on exit, shoe hanging by big toe but stuck Headdown exit (holding position so NOT to lose shoe ), transitioned to sit and snagged shoe before it fell off - stuck shoe in jumpsuit and proceeded to laugh my ass off as I flew in to land. Talk about some relexed flying - cause I wasn't thinking about flying - I was thinking about not letting go of my shoe and having it smack someone in the face

Well I must say - although I was very happy with the finished product...helmet turned out great...when I got the DZ and put on my suit - the yellows did not match . UGH....everyone DID comment on the "new" helmet and then I got to tell how I just painted it and then everyone did the "look up close" thingy...... Not sure what to do now....maybe find another yellow and repaint - maybe just leave it alone. Who knows.......But regardless, I DEFINITELY need a clear top coat for strength. I seem to be hard on my stuff and already got a couple nicks.....oh well....... Thanks Dagny...missed ya this weekend. And Angela - hope to see you soon for sure. Now that you are pushing 100 jumps Almost Christmas time, almost time for Eloy and almost time to turn 35...yikes! But at least I am a cool freeflying skydiver chick Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

YUP YUP.... loving my half work days Fridays and loved them $15 jumps as well. Gotta keep working on that headdown stuff .... If you picked Saturday to come play you got lucky - after the clouds cleared we got an AWESOME day of jumping and I managed 7 jumps. Looking forward to another cheap jump weekend sometime down the road. Better then a free spaghetti dinner in my humble opinion Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
