I've seen this in a game I've played. It claims the strange caliber is armor-peircing. Out of curiousity, what kind of group would be using this gun? SWAT teams? Army? Police? MB 3528, RB 1182

I've got a 4.0 post-loading. And according to my rough estimate, I'm the 280th biggest post whore. MB 3528, RB 1182

I did it all by myself. The strange thing is, I honestly can't remember when or where I decided to skydive. I never watched any of those skydiving-themed movies, or even knew a skydiver. MB 3528, RB 1182

I convinced 4 of my friends to do a first jump last year. 2 did it once and then never again. The other 2 made maybe 3 jumps each and then quit. I just persoanlly think that it takes a special breed of person to skydive. MB 3528, RB 1182

one of our riggers has one. We've been trying to convince him to bring it out. I'd like to jump it just once to say I've jumped a dinosaur MB 3528, RB 1182

I agree with you here. Its a little annoying when people tell about how warm their gloves are in winter, and you then find out they jump in florida or something Last weekend I tried the latex gloves under my scuba gloves. The scuba gloves normally don't do much, but together they worked really well. In fact, my hands sweated a little. It wasn't really cold at altitude (25 F); I can't wait to try them when it gets really cold. MB 3528, RB 1182

most of the time. I sometimes don't if I'm just doing a hop n pop, or a tracking dive. Since I have a full face, its sometimes nice to feel the wind in my face on "not-as-dangerous" jumps. MB 3528, RB 1182

I take it you jump at Perris? MB 3528, RB 1182

I loved the first one, liked the second one (the fight scenes and agent smith multiplying), and didn't like the third one. the sentinals being shot down were cool, but it was essentially the same scene of them all suicidilly funniling into a chaingun. Then there was the unclimatic ending, and a 20 minute long sappy scene between neo and trinity. MB 3528, RB 1182

Overcoming motion sickness
bch7773 replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I don't think that a few seconds of canopy spirals every few days would be enough to do it. I know that with air and sea sickness that people can get over it, if they are constantly exposed to it. I do get very sea sick, and something that I noticed that helps is keeping your eyes on the horizon. Since motion sickness is nothing but your eyes and brain argueing over whether you are moving or not, you can force your eyes to notice you are moving by looking at the horizon. If you want to prove this works, next time your on a boat, stare at your feet for a few minutes. if you normally do have sea sickness, you'll be puking in a few minutes. MB 3528, RB 1182 -
nah, I tried that last weekend. Doing spirals in the cold weather isn't exactly pleasent. kinda took my breath away. but to answer the question, I don't pull any lower when its cold. Its only like 30 seconds longer under canopy, but you save 6 seconds of freefall which you could use to save your life. MB 3528, RB 1182

oh yes I can! its ok, since you did ALL those firsts on that day, you only have to pay one case. oh but you can afford fancy dancy protracks and helmets eh? (I'm just kidding with you addie) I surprised none of the other KSUPC people have commented... normally chris would be all over a beer call. MB 3528, RB 1182

liar! I called beer on you on saturday and I have yet to see beer for that. MB 3528, RB 1182

IMHO scuba gloves don't work. Thats what I'm using now, and they barely even keep my hands warm on the way up. Plus, mine just have a plain leather palm, which isn't very good for grabbing the strut. I'll try the latex gloves under them and see how that goes. sudden thought- are you all talking about wet suit gloves, or dry suit gloves? maybe thats my problem... What I sometimes do is put a second thick left handed glove on, and this at least keeps one hand warm, and since I pull with my right hand, the loss of mobility doesn't affect much. Also, I do the two-handed-pull reserve drill, so that hopefully shouldn't be a problem. MB 3528, RB 1182

wait till its like 20 on the ground, and around 10 at altitude. you can't pack for like 20 minutes because your fingers are still frozen MB 3528, RB 1182

I agree. MB 3528, RB 1182
