i have to wonder if that auction wasn't just a joke... they put a reserve of over $360 on a bunch of dog crap? and the bidding was low until 2 guys with low scores suddenly bid from $30 to $350??? it looks like they created a joke auction and then either bid on it themselves with another account, or a couple guys did joke bids on it. isn't there an actually disorder or something that can make you have dreams like that? i've read about it here before, you can't move, feels like someones holding you down, and then you feel like someone bad is in the room with you or something. i've never had it happen to me, but it sounds freaky. but i really don't believe in ghosts. if i ever see one or see conclusive proof of one, maybe then. but until then, i think that most people who have weird ghost experiences are probably just stressed out, tired, and fear can all combine to make you imagine freaky things. I'm not a smoker, and i too think this is kinda over the top. if they don't want cigeratte butts in the sand, just increase the fine for littering. its not like a whole bunch of people are getting cancer because someone on the beach lit up. MB 3528, RB 1182

I totally agree with this... its really kinda early to say its another vietnam, but this iraq mess really doesn't look promising. MB 3528, RB 1182

its pretty funny. its up to $15,000! i guess people want to pay more for it since its obviously has so much sentimental value. MB 3528, RB 1182

ghost recon is alright, but a little too realistic to be fun. my favorite thing to do is download mods for the orginal bf1942, things like DC, or eve of destruction, a vietnam mod. and ivan, you know there is a really cool Star wars mod out there... you get to fly tie fighters and x wings... i think it would be right up your alley. and remember, if you are thinking about putting a 150 in there, don't order it until you have at least jumped a 150 a few times... otherwise if you haven't even jumped a 170 like you said, how will you know you can handle a 170 or even a 150? and remember, you don't have to always buy a financed rig from the manufacturer... one of my friends got a loan from a bank to buy his new gear. check out their terms too. How angry would you be if you went in?

then what kind of post is it? other than a little pointless... MB 3528, RB 1182 -
search the forums for raft jumps... theres been quite a few people who have jumped out either riding or holding onto a inflatable raft. i don't know why youd want to use a bass boat, as they are much harder, which could mean injuries if the thing suddenly flipped and smacked you, and they are more expensive. plus i imagine it would be hard to deploy with one, so youd would have to let it smash into the ground. someone scan the fax and post em! otherwise us skydivers without fax machines are being discriminated against! MB 3528, RB 1182

finished up the course and air evals today! students beware! I started the thread (to brag a little ) and also just wanted to know, is there anything specific that helped any of you when you first started coaching? like something that your students seem to always do that caught you off guard? or does anybody remember something that their coach did that really improved their flying skills or helped them get past an obstacle in their learning? oh yeah, and also wanted to thank J.E. and Terri for teaching the course, and pretending to be my students. They also are apparently both male strippers, and "life partners"... at least thats what they told me on the plane, hahaha. also thanks to the DZ that hosted it, freefall express in missouri. they let me crash there, and had a really nice hanger. i would go with a desktop. I see lots of people with laptops, but not that many of em take the time to drag it around outside their room. if you're not a businessman, its more of a gimmick then something actually needed, IMHO. plus desktops are cheaper, you can upgrade them much easier, and you can mix and match what you want on it (monitors, printers, speakers, etc). plus a desktop is more "making video" friendly. with that laptop you listed, its at a good price, but keep in mind its a 14" screen, and only one CD tray... so you can't just copy CDs. thats one huge chute. out of curiosity, is there any reason why a powered parachute pilot would go for eliptical? better turn rates? better climb rates? MB 3528, RB 1182

skymama, google any of the crap that pops up. i did that when i noticed my home page changed, and discovered that i has coolwwwsearch spybot. adaware wouldn't detect it, spy bot search adn destroy couldn't remove it, and so i found two special coolwwwsearch destroyers from google. you may have to do the same thing too. yeah, do a ctrl alt del and let us know whats there, or even better, type "msconfig" in the run box... click on the startup tab, and let us know whats checked. it will tell us what is trying to run on startup.
