  1. where do we sign up? MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. 2 blades. and sometimes i dry-shave my face too. creams and gels are for wussies MB 3528, RB 1182
  3. yeah it got over 70 here today. and it has been in the 60s for the past few weekends. unfortionately I can't jump, but im thinking about jumping this weekend. MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. they aren't that big of a deal. i got my 3 pulled, and 2 of them were impacted. They put you under for the surgery, and then give you really wussy narcotics for the pain. even then the pain is not a big deal. I was eating normal food a day after the surgery. Of course, i had to chew it like a rabbit, but within a week i could chew normally. MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. and if anyone does call them up, post what they say on here... i'm kinda curious now to see the "official" answer MB 3528, RB 1182
  6. how would polarized lenses help that much in skydiving? I think i remember learning in physics that the polarized lenses block out only reflected light, like light off a lake. this is why fishermen like them but why would you even want to wear them in skydiving? MB 3528, RB 1182
  7. I have never paid anyone to pack for me once i got off student status... well a few times i guess a buddy has packed for me while i'm helping teach a FJC or something. I also flat pack the big student 288s at my DZ for extra jumping cash, plus teaching a student how to pack is kinda fun. MB 3528, RB 1182
  8. hahhaha I was thinking what a stupid idea these whistles were for a while. ya had me. MB 3528, RB 1182
  9. one thing you have to remember though, I believe that your first night jump has to be a solo. And I haven't done one yet (but really really want to), and I've heard that you can't have too many lights near the landing area MB 3528, RB 1182
  10. 1. yes. but im not sure about the "if it was due the next day thing" maybe no in that situation. 2. No. thats the DZ's gear that was crappy and broke, its not your fault... unless you opened in a track or sit 3. No. same reasoning as #2 4. Yes. you are responsible for getting all the parts back to the renter 5. Yes. but only the cost of what it is worth NOW. none of the crap where you pay for a new canopy... you don't even pay for the new canopy price minus the DZ's discount. you lost something worth $300, that means you pay $300... not $1200 for a new canopy. MB 3528, RB 1182
  11. packed my altimeter inside my main. that was one expensive jump. MB 3528, RB 1182
  12. it would be stupid, but doable. you get the sluggo, i think its called, to wear a huge canopy like a 300+ or maybe even a tandem main. MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. I went fishing on the beach in solid sun for 3 hours... my neck got just barely red... its nice to not be a pale whitey MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. I'm glad my flight outta raliegh is on sunday morning and not saturday afternoon... otherwise i woulda been delayed 2 hours MB 3528, RB 1182
  15. and thats why i don't bring an actual camera when i do something similar... i just buy one of those nice disposible ones... and i have already lost 2 in freefall MB 3528, RB 1182

    Skydive Game

500 on first try... just about equal to my normal spotting MB 3528, RB 1182
  17. only things i have left to do: hangglide visit carribean wingsuit hot air balloon jump 2 chicks at once MB 3528, RB 1182
  18. well considering that you are still in high school... part time job is about the only thing you can do. MB 3528, RB 1182
  19. my guess is that hes got a hidden safety line connected to the plane, and another pilot inside thats staying down keeping it in a nice glide. still its quite the eye opener MB 3528, RB 1182
  20. maybe you snagged it on something as you walked in? do you walk past anything that could cut or snag the chute when you walk from landing area to packing area? MB 3528, RB 1182
  21. well the second one was faked of course, but it does look pretty funny. that lighthouse one is amazing. MB 3528, RB 1182
  22. you're on! I'll bring baked beans and beer! MB 3528, RB 1182
  23. its just a joke someone told me. its supposed to be funny, since it seems that women like to chat a lot, it doesn't refer to talking on the plane. sorry if you took offense to it MB 3528, RB 1182
  24. I actually like dogs better then cats. Theres nothing better then if you had a crappy day, you come home, and the dog starts howling and jumping around in glee. not to mention that dogs are actually good for things: they guard your house, help you get exercise by walking them, they can help you hunt, pick up chicks, and trained dogs can work for police or rescue people. cats are fun too, but they just don't do it for me. (puts on flame proof coat) MB 3528, RB 1182
