  1. ok I'll tackle this one I agree with this one except that an RSL adds a step under canopy (disconnecting it) that needs to be remembered and distracts the pilot from flying the canopy and looking for traffic. ok, realistically, how much time does disconnecting the RSL under canopy take? maybe 2 seconds? how long does collapsing your slider, or popping up your fullface visor take? about 2 seconds too... gee maybe we should all go back to uncollapsable sliders since we are missing out on 2 seconds of checking for traffic. I think that RSLs are generally good things, and I agree with most of billvon's rebuttal. MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. I haven't heard of this in the US. also, something tells me that if someone does have it at their DZ, they aren't gonna post it because then every DZ.com member would be showing up on that date to demand free videod coach dives. MB 3528, RB 1182

    gas prices?

It was 1.79 the last time i filled up in kansas. now theres a benefit to getting rid of my old ford explorer MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. I think its a good idea, but then again i have no idea about how much work that would be. it might be a lot of work. MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. that is a really cool idea. someone should do that and see if anybody would notice it on the plane or something. MB 3528, RB 1182
  6. something tells me that the parents just won't listen... I mean, neither of them turned up at their hearing, and they had ignored an earlier order to get a mental health examination. If i was the judge, i would whop em upside the head, tell em to take more cold showers, and then get them a few packs of condoms MB 3528, RB 1182
  7. oh man that sounds great.... you get to be someones "gofor" for a full unpaid 12 months. in fact, he'll probably make you pay him for the wonderfull chance to learn what hes doing. MB 3528, RB 1182

    This sux!

dude unfortionately at this point in your skydiving, you are probably gonna end up doing a lot of solos. its unfortunate, but true. MB 3528, RB 1182
  9. I think i've gotten 1 spam email here... and i use the dz.com email account when i have to give out an email address. never even tried the filters. maybe the problem is what kind of websites you are giving your email address to? the same type of websites that give out adult spyware eh? 10. thats how our DZ gets free couches for the hangers... at the end of the semister, they look for non-stinky couches that all the students toss out. MB 3528, RB 1182
  11. CDs are actually more fragile on the label side then the underside. MB 3528, RB 1182
  12. it was ok, but i personally wasn't impressed with it, except by the realism of the boat, cannon warfare, officers, etc. MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. yeah the threads back. nice bum by the way MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. 100th jump = nakked just don't post pics MB 3528, RB 1182
  15. hey i see you all are talking about guns again... I was always thinking about getting a pistol just to have fun shooting targets... I'm not planning on ever carrying it concealed, and since i don't think i would use it for personal defence, i don't need a large caliber. what would be a good, inexpensive pistol? do you think 9mm or .22 would be better, or another caliber? and btw, i've shot .22s, .38s, .45s, and while the larger calibers made bigger holes, i don't see the value in them over the cheaper rounds. MB 3528, RB 1182
  16. lol. exactly what i was thinking. I would feel really worried about getting out below 1000 feet, but if the choice is crashing along with several hundred pounds of metal, or hopping out low, i'd jump. MB 3528, RB 1182
  17. ok its back to the normal blue email thing now. MB 3528, RB 1182
  18. that was pretty good. i'd like to hear what the cops were saying after he got out of their spin trap over and over. MB 3528, RB 1182
  19. it looks like you changed email services right? I just checked email, and now its a new green screen from something called "grosamermail" is everybody seeing this? MB 3528, RB 1182
  20. simple... either get your parents to cosign with you, or get a visa/debit card from your bank. its secured, but it helps you build credit. MB 3528, RB 1182
  21. hmmm you have to wonder why everyone was crowding one side as they pulled up next to the nude beach... they will probably just find dozens of pairs of binoculars... all from the one side of the barge MB 3528, RB 1182
  22. you know what they say about the lottery right? its a tax for stupid people MB 3528, RB 1182
  23. i can't figure out whats so horrible about this. all sorts of businesses sell your information to others. and if you owe the courts money, its probably because you did something wrong... so its bad to get the wrongdoers to pay their fine? only thing i don't like is the "bounty" paid to the company MB 3528, RB 1182
  24. yeah, apart from making people sad when they think of their departed friends, im not sure what this thread accomplishes. If i ask "how many of you have had a relative die of heart attack?", will that make people who aren't active get up and exercise? probably not. MB 3528, RB 1182
  25. they take your skin too? i didn't know that... i assume they only take the skin from where it won't be seen if you have an open casket right? and i think donating your organs is a great idea. also, if case you are squeamish about them taking a particular organ, for example, your eyes, you can still donate the rest of your organs. its not an all-or-nothing thing. just make your wishes known to your family, and your living will, etc. MB 3528, RB 1182
