    New game...

738 was my best outta like 4 tries. try their zombie squirrel game though.. verry fun MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. theres a middle ground. while i think spanking is fine in some situations, but nothing bothers me more then someone punishing their child because THEY are tired or angry. The child barely does something, but because the parent is already tired or angry, they hit the child or yell at them. thats not right MB 3528, RB 1182
  3. you actually gonna do that 30,000 foot HALO one? thats pretty expensive stuff considering you only get like 30 more seconds of freefall then the 23,000 foot one. although i have heard that sometimes they go higher then 30,000 ft. MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. don't forget the saying though... "the most dangerous way to learn something is with someone who hasn't done it before" i.e. you and your low timer buddy decide to try a sitfly, and one of you sinks under the other and corks... whereas a experienced jumper can keep himself from getting above a newbie sitflyer. I'm not saying that 2 lowtimers jumping together is unsafe or bad, you just have to be more careful. MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. i used BOC ripcord for about 10-15 jumps before i switched to throwout... i learned with static line, and its kind of hard to do PRCPS with a pilot chute... i guess if you threw away a pilot chute each jump.. but that would get kinda expensive search the forums, this has been discussed to death before, but basically there are pros and cons to teaching throwout straight from jump 1. and some learning methods, like SL, are really designed for ripcords. 6. I broke my middle finger, and the doctor told me 6 weeks without skydiving. well, 4 weeks in, i jumped again, but with my cast on. first i practiced emergency procedures and pulling on the ground to prove i would be fine. then again, i had a coach course the next week and didn't want to go to it rusty. it was a painful experience, i wouldn't recommend it. i would say, be conservative, and sure as hell don't jump if it is still hurting to move it. thats not fun. 7. at our DZ there is no formal packing classes... but as they are waiting to get onto a load (cessna DZ) they first watch one of us flat pack their mains, next jump they pack it themselves with us helping, and next time they are on the ground they pack it with just us watching. we ususally have students completely packing their own stuff by jump 6 or 7. there is no cost for learning to pack at our DZ. plus we have a huge sheet of packing instructions and tips, and we are gonna make a packing video sometime soon. when they switch over to propack, one of us experienced jumpers will show them, again no charge. 8. I have a really hard time saying the word "first" in normal conversations with whuffos. they all look at me weird whenever i say "pre-second" when outside, i constantly look for holes in the clouds. several times while taking a normal commercial airplane flight, i check my altimeter hand. once when walking outside when it was really windy in my face, i tried several times to pull down my face shield. 9. At our DZ we have great fun with fireworks. We've shot them at people under canopy, and boy that pissed him off. We also use them to get rid of gophers, you wedge a morter shell down a gopher hole, light it and run. We've actually found scattered gopher parts laying around. but a few weeks ago, our pilot thought it was funny (after a beer or two) to toss a lit bottle rocket into the packing area... it lands in between 3 open rigs, but somehow luckily shoots between them and under a couch. 10. hahaha, but seriously, one of my friends ran with the bulls a few years ago, and she got gored pretty good in the knee. it made all the papers in the US. I would do it, but i would run right alongside the wall they put up, and hop over when the bulls got too close for comfort. MB 3528, RB 1182
  11. My little brother ran with the bulls a few years ago... this is the last picture of him alive MB 3528, RB 1182
  12. I spent all of my life living in "Pop" counties, but somehow i call it "coke". and for those people who say "coke is a product name, it shouldn't be used generically" they are WRONG! the products name is "Coca-Cola". notice the difference. MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. only thing i find amazing is that hes 84 and has a 4 year old daughter. damn he may have parkinsons and diabetes, but he knows how to get busy. I can almost imagine his coversation in bed with his wife: The viagra has reached the core, wife, its powering up! you'll have to hurry wife, it won't hold much longer! sperm, prepare to beam aboard the mother ship... mission accolmplished, scotty out! MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. first time i played this got 294,325. level 9 just gets too fast. after about level 7 theres no more strategy involved... just mindless clicking hehe MB 3528, RB 1182
  15. bahhh fireworks aren't fun unless a hole gets burned in someones hair and/or clothing. then its great fun MB 3528, RB 1182
  16. amen to that. i did watch it though when i was around 8 or something and thought it was real. my friends and i thought it was so cool to pretend we were hulk hulgan or "the tugboat" MB 3528, RB 1182
  17. ok another related question... what ammenities are around at tent city? I heard they have free ice, do they also have free water and bathrooms? also, do they have showers there? isn't wffc the boogie notorius for coed showers? MB 3528, RB 1182
  18. i could join the PIMP club only if both my chutes fail... because im planning on shitting my pants in the air, then shaking it out a pants leg... this way when they find my body, at least it won't smell bad if my bowels rupture, since they will be empty. would that get me into the club then? MB 3528, RB 1182
  19. thats a really good way to put that. and its true, since even a couple hundred years ago people truely believed in witches, unicorns, mermaids, etc. i believe that there could be aliens out there somewhere, but the odds of them being so intelligent that they can travel here from light years away, but yet stupid enough to be seen flying around hickville, usa at night? if there is another lifeform out there, its probably some one-celled organisms crawling around on some far off planet. MB 3528, RB 1182
  20. ok that sounds good, but i have a question... your intentional skyhook cutaway rig... do we deploy our normal main, then cut that away to your reserve? or is it some other way? oh yeah, whats your recommended jump numbers to use it? for example, could someone with around 180 jumps do it? MB 3528, RB 1182
  21. because he looks like a freeflyer, and belly bands aren't cool! geeez do you want him to look uncool while freeflying?!? MB 3528, RB 1182
  22. oh geeeez. harharhar. something tells me that all the normal non-scientific people on here are scratching their heads and saying "I don't get that joke" MB 3528, RB 1182
  23. isn't tritium naturally found in oceanwater in something like .01% of all the hydrogen atoms? i can tell you that .01% of all the hydrogen in the worlds oceans is more than 25 lbs. but still it is a movie... if it was 100% realistic what fun would that be MB 3528, RB 1182
  24. he should have thrown up instead... i mean, who the hell has ever laughed so hard that they shit themselves? it was kinda funny though MB 3528, RB 1182
  25. it was an ok movie. the skydiving scenes were ok, but why the hell didn't the dragon just go chomp the chopper?! that pissed me off MB 3528, RB 1182
