    my 93 jav is just like that, and my rigger said he would charge $30 to sew the flap on. but he also said my boc pouch was too far away from where the flap would be, so he would have to move it closer, costing additional $$$. just a heads up in case sunpath tells you the same thing.     hahaha i always had that fear when i was on student status... those leg straps seem awfully thin when they the only things keeping you in your rig 3500 feet above the ground. i eventually got over it though. i really don't have gear fear now. MB 3528, RB 1182

    at my home dz, ksupc, you rent gear by the semister. $25 dollars covers you for 6 months. unfortionately, we don't have student gear smaller then a 230. we are thinking about changing that though. MB 3528, RB 1182

    I've been learning to scuba dive in a old quarry. I get in the water, everything seems ok, until i start feeling sharp pains in my legs. I look in the water and discover I am surrounded by bluegills, and they are biting the sh*t outta me. yes, those little 2-inch long fish with no teeth like bite my exposed skin, and they are somehow breaking the skin. I got like a dozen bleeding bites on my legs. and the little bastards are too quick for me to hit or catch. everytime i stop waving my hands by my legs, another one darts in and starts biting my leg again. anybody know any tricks to either keep fish away, or some way to kill the little sobs? I'm gonna smear suntan lotion all over my legs tomorrow, and hopefully they won't like the taste after one bite each... and since there is only about 1000 of them, that leaves me with 1000 more bites to go.     poof he turned into a woman, and started nagging the guy with the rowboat to come back and get her. finally she promises him some action if he comes gets her. he spends another hour fighting the current to get back, just to hear her tell him that they can get it on once he actually takes her across., but on their way back she explains she would just rather be friends. he tosses her off the boat and she drowns.     amen to that. you can usually safely loosen it an inch or two and it will be fine. next time you gear up, try loosening it a couple inches, then try to see if you can slip out of your shoulder straps easily. if you can't, then its probably fine. also, let an instructor take a look at it to be sure, and safe.     We've had a few people at my home DZ that were either too young to buy beer, or didn't want to because of religion or something. however, they would bring a case of bottled water or coke, which is great when its hot out. we also had one guy who owed beer buy us a couple pizzas after a hard day of jumping. that was also a good alternative.     so if i have a old triathalon that i am going to reline soon, it would have to be relined at the factory to get the newer, supposedly better 4.0 lines correct? because i imagine a rigger would just try to attach the new lineset at the old spots, which are no longer correct, right?     I taught my dog to knock on doors to be let in. if she hears someone inside a room, and she wants in, she will bump it with her nose, and if the doors only halfway shut, it will open. but if it doesn't open, she'll bump it several more times with her nose until someone opens it.

    I "know someone" who has over 100 movies that they downloaded. none of them are cams. in fact, all the newer ones (less then 2 years old) are about DVD quality. to download em, you just get the download going before you go to bed, and when you wake up, its done. if you think about the money saved, its easily worth it. but still immoral and illegal. and DVD copying is even easier... I've heard you just rent a DVD from blockbuster and copy it, then you have a DVD for about 5 bucks. MB 3528, RB 1182

    as I understand it, people who are trained in knife fights will "sacrifice" a cut on their forearm, so that they can stab their oppenant in more vital regions. if two trained knife fighters go at it, you can expect multiple wounds on the winner. MB 3528, RB 1182
