hahahaha those amber colored lenses will get you. when i was like 8, my dad thought i was colorblind because i couldn't tell the difference between green and blue... he didn't realize my sunglasses had an amber tone. MB 3528, RB 1182

agreed. it seems to be like the naked jumps are usually done at smaller dzs... dunno if its a small dz atmosphere that makes people jump naked, or that they know less people will see them naked. MB 3528, RB 1182 -

I don't understand what happened... you flared too high, held the flare, and an updraft caught you and caused you to drop?? I'm just guessing, but i think that maybe instead of an updraft, the canopy stalled... that would cause it to just drop straight down. how high did you flare intially? MB 3528, RB 1182

I found that funny too...back in the third grade. Once the fourth grade hit it just lost its humor. Some people still giggle at juvenile things. To each is his own. so if i look in your past posts, i won't find you ever telling a fart joke, saying you like south park, or laughing at a dirty juvenille joke? i find that very very hard to believe. the real bad part about the draft is the fact that it takes away our freedom... no longer is it a choice to serve in the military, now its forced upon you. and yes i know that there is a choice between national guard or active military, but its still a forced choice. if the US ever gets into a WW3 and is in danger, or needs to help out allies (like in WW2), then yes, the draft is a good thing. but as it stands now, i think the draft is a bad idea. yeah from those pictures it looks like the pac has only a marginally better tail then the king air... but it has a much nicer door though. with only 1 prop, i'm guessing it doesn't climb like a king air though... how long does it take to get to altitude? MB 3528, RB 1182

I'd put money on BASE jumpers. it would have to be a pretty eleaborate police training thing to use all those officers, and risk them hurting themselves on the jump. I'm sure the cops know that it was just base jumpers, but they have to do the full 9 yards of response anyways, and they probably don't want to tell the media that some base jumpers made a fool of them. so they will try to keep it quiet, i bet. I had the same problem on student gear... during the canopy ride, the straps would dig into my legs painfully, and sometimes cut off circulation. someone showed me a good way to stop this... once you are under canopy, after you check your canopy, check for traffic, and face into the wind, you sit back in the harness, and pull the legstraps about a half inch or so farther down your legs, away from your crotch, one at a time. this puts you into more of a sitting position, which is less painful.
