I repeat my earlier question from the London Skydivers group... (since this duscussions seems doomed to happen in stereo! ) Has anyone been to this venue? Is is super loud? Or the kind of place where it is possible to hold a conversation without shouting? Vicki

A few years ago, jumping at a UK DZ (not my regular DZ I hasten to add!) I was sat on the aircraft and I noticed that the tag on an AFF students rig indicated that the reserve was a couple of days out of date. I whispered this fact to the AFF instructor who was seated next to me. That AFF instructor then got out their hook knife, cut off the tag and motioned at me to “Shhhhhhh!” . They carried on as though nothing had happened and the skydive went without incident. It suprised me a bit though! Vicki

I can't sleep either. It's 10.30am, I'm sitting at my desk drinking red bull wanting to go to sleep but I really don't think my boss would be too happy! Vicki

At University, the guy who lived upstairs from me had a habit of playing LOUD dance music until the early hours of the morning (3am was not unusual) . I had spoken to him about it on numerous occasions but he didn't seem to care that I had 9am lectures most days so this was not cool! One day I woke up at 6am, couldn't get back to sleep and decided to go for a run. I knew my next door neighbour was out so making noise wouldn't disturb her... so before I left I put an opera CD on repeat, on maximum volume. When I got back from my lecture at 11am, it was still playing loudly and I was met by one very pissed off guy, shouting at me for waking him up "ridiculously early with that crap music". I made my point, we reached an understanding and the problem didn't recur! Hehehehehe! Vicki

From what I know of it the DZ at Seville is run by British USPA rated instructors - they will therefore all speak English! Vicki

From memory about a 170 give or take. Just be aware that the old BTs can open seriously hard and require special care/technique when packing. I see you're at Headcorn... if you are considering buying/jumping a BT I suggest you get Clem to show you how to pack it since I know he used to own a BT. Vicki

I did all my static line training and progression from two very old and very slow piston Islanders! Jumped a Porter (my first turbine) on about jump 70, then a Beaver on about jump 110. Lots of Turbolet jumps from 200 onwards. Didn't jump an Otter, skyvan or Casa until 400+. First Cessna jump was at 500+ - and that was a Grand caravan! First "small" Cessna jump - a 206 - was on jump 900+! Vicki

I'm sure it is a nice DZ - most are. However London is a big place and I'm not sure the statement that ANY DZ is the closest or easiest to get to from London can be justified!
