The Jam are from my home town. Of course they're a little older than me... Vicki

What's your favorite plane?
vt1977 replied to jumpjunkie2004's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The C-130 is cool just for the sheer size and the blast of air you get on exit. The Tiger Moth is cool for almost completely the opposite reasons (and climbing out onto the wing is pretty damn cool too!) -
22nd December - 4th January - Empuriabrava!

Same here. Vicki -
:0:0 No jumping as I was at a friend's wedding!

Have to disagree, I'm afraid... Oxford is beautiful! Cambridge is... Cambridge! (I am joking - anyone visiting would enjoy seeing either city!) Vicki
-
Seconded - did that back in March and it was awesome! I'd also suggest Empuriabrava. Stockholm is a really beautiful (albeit expensive!) city too. So that's Europe taken care of... in the UK I recommend London if you haven't done it before, Oxford, Chester and probably Stonehenge (although less impressive in real life than in pics). If visiting Stonehenge, be sure to drop in at Netheravon which is only a few miles away. Vicki

It was a great event, lots of fun and lots of money raised...

The UK Freefly 'It's a London Thing' Boogie 2005

Totally off the top of my head and without consulting the Ops manual, I seem to remember the limit for balloon jumps in the UK is B licence and 100 jumps. Vicki -

PM gremlin. He jumped a Spectre 150 after a back injury with no problems. hth Vicki -
I own a pair. Fine for summer but totally inadequate for winter! Vicki
-
Which is pretty much what I do! I hate winter jumping, but those gloves are the best solution I've found for keeping my hands warm. Vicki
-
Thank you for trying.
-
I bought mine from DZ Sports at Hinton. I use these winter gloves and for really cold days I add these silk liners too. hth! Vicki

If that was meant to be a reply to my post then I really do have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Vicki

:7: Partied slightly too hard on Friday night so stayed on the ground on Saturday owing to excessive hangover. 4 jumps on Sunday – an 8-way, 2 coaching jumps and a jump from the Tiger Moth for which beer definitely owed! That was an exceptionally cool jump! 3 jumps on Sunday – 2 coaching jumps and a very nice sunset 9-way for a friend’s 200th jump! Involved in the pie-ing of 2 people for their 200th jumps as well! I am frequently on the receiving end of DDS, but it's not often that I am left with absolutely no idea who it was! Whoever it was - you were funny! Vicki
-
Do any of you who were out in London want to fess up to a couple of DDs I received??? No-one else is admitting to them so far!
-
I won't kid you, trying to jump in the UK in winter can be hard work! It is possible to get jumps in but accept that you will get cold! Have you considered booking some cheap flights to go back to wherever in Spain you are doing your AFF for some weekends in October, November and December? If you book early you should be able to get them pretty cheap. If you're running low on holiday time, you could also look at heading back to Spain for Christmas/New Year and getting some jumps in then. hth! Vicki

Ugh... yes, that was pretty nasty in Sweden... but I've never known it to happen at Nethers. Probably much nastier stuff in that foam!!!!! Vicki
-
Basically, a room gets filled with foam and you dance/party in there. It's awesome fun!
-
At Netheravon, this Sunday. Details here. I can't wait! Foam parties rock!!!!!!!!!
