I've never seen that EA game "skydiver" but if this is anything like cool boarders is to snowboarding then it might be worth checking out. Plus IMHO w/ playstation 2's graphics it'll look cool too. chris

Alright Jessica, I'll go ahead and ramble about an amazing weekend I just had!! Saturday at sunset my DZ was holding a Graduation Ceromony/party for the 2001 AFP grads. I had planned on going to jump on Saturday but the winds were way too high to jump so i was just chillin' around my house. 6:30 came along and i thought i better get my ass to the DZ. Once i arrived i went up to the " VIP loung/bar " and they had some miller high life for free so i went to get a cup; " you got an ID? " what an ID? crap looks like i'm not drinking. Saw one of my friends and he said he was going on a beer run so i threw him a 5 spot and off they went The graduation was cool, about 70 people watched as me and 5 others received are diploma and had our picture taken. ( look in one of the upcomming parachutist for me ) the rest of the night was a drunkin' good time and then i went to sleep. On sunday morning i woke up bright and early to the rain pounding down on the trailer. After laying w/ my eyes open for a while i made my way to the hanger and by then the rain had stopped. Ploppled down on the couch and started dozing off. Roger asked me if i wanted to get on the load w/ him and a few others. I could get ready in 5 minutes so i said sure, ran around, got a rig, manifested, and walked over to where roger and 6 others were standing. An 8 way?!? ive never done a 3 way and im getting my self into an 8 way. the jump was awesome i did 2 points and hung out while everyone tracked away and pulled. landed right in the middle of the runwayBEER. Next was a five way spider and that was fun, but i spent the whole jump chasing the base around and never docked, came close but reached and fell into a burble. Great DOWNWIND landing and made a 10ft long slide mark in the mud. ( not my jump suite ) the next 5 way was going to be a round and then we do 360's and then round etc.... the exit flipped all of us on our backs but my eyes lit up as i swooped in for the most beeeyoutiifulll dock ive ever done

corking was described to me as when, for example, 3 ppl are in a head down dive and one of them loses it. that persone goes on his/her belly and "corks" because of the drastic deceleration. as far as funneling i think its when you exit the plane when its turning so there isnt really any foward speed, but dont quote me on it. blue skies, cold beer chris

Are you talking about that family in the mid west? if you are i think i've jumped w/ them too. Brother/Sister combo right? As far as not being controversial, are you sure? Ive read articles about them but i cant remember where.. somewhere on the web. Since your being anonymous about it and dont want to give out the names i suppose i wont either. peace chris

One of my memorable jumps was my AFP level 7 repeat ( wasnt current ). My jm weighed about 90lbs more than and we couldnt find a weight belt. He said to do your best and ARCH! So i did my diving exit w/ my jm hanging out of the plane. we get some horizontal seperation goin so i start to fly over to him and as i do he drops way the hell down there. i say screw it and start doing my 1/4 turns to the left and to the right. when i come around the 2nd time i see a dot way the hell out there and way the hell down there. i arch so hard i think my thighs were hitting the back of my head. Finally got rid of the vertical seperation i check my altitude and im at 3k, shit 500ft lower that i should be so i wave and pull. the canopy ride was uneventful and i realized i was far from the landing area and i noticed im at 1k and nothing was said on my radio i set my landing pattern up, flared and surfed the ice! I just stand there for a minute looking at the dot the hanger was. After about a 10 min walk in 20 degree weather i made it back to the hanger and was debreifed by my jm. The jump was good and i now know the true meaning of fall rate. blue skies, cold beer chris

As many people know already My home away from home is Skydive Chicago...Nice DZ....alright, its more like a private skydiving resort. private air port w/ like 240 acres or something ridicusoulsy huge. hanger, game room, class rooms, deli, pond, lounge/bar, auditorium w/ kickin' sound system, to super twin otters, cessena; so as you can see i love it there. The most unique thing IMHO is that the students fly safire's at 40 square feet added to their weight. ( if you weigh 140 your jumpin' a 170 or a 190 ) I was down to a 1 wingloading on like my tenth jump. ROCK SOLID BLUE SKIES, COLD BEER chris

Hell yeah, last weekend I went up to do a solo and play in the endless nothing and on the ride to altitude i got to ride in the toilette of the otter I remeber looking to that little room when i did my first jump, tandem, and thinking that it would be cool as hell to sit back there. So nice, nobody crushing my ( you know what ) and I could stretch my legs out. I know Skreamer, beer for the first toilette ride! Shut up and rock ass hole!! chris

One of these days I'm gonna travel all around the states and maybe even go to europe to skydive and skydive all day long. Also, thanx to everyone else who threw me a good luck and congrats. I do telephone support for IBM and mostly read forums. The only time i relax is skydiving and gettin drunk w/ all my wuffo friends ( which can be REAL frustrating because they dont like me talking about skydiving and I get bored listing to the same stories they tell over and over again. ) Im starting to meet more and more ppl at the dz ( skydive chicago ) but cant really party w/ them because its too damn cold to sleep in a tent and i live far from the dz.
