  1. So, here I am at work. Waiting. Doing.....nothing. Can I leave, no. I'm here until 7:00pm cst and my brand new Container is locked up in a box waiting for me to bust in and open it. The anticipation is killing me, I placed the order on Aug 13th and the time has finally arrived. What can I do to pass the time? I thought about sleeping but that will get me fired. Fired? Hmmmm.... Anyone know a good way to pass 4 hours? CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil
  2. Unfortunatly my girlfriend is not a stripper,( or a skydiver for that matter ) I could of used this info 4 months ago before I met her though! It's all good though, I make more money than she does. Wait, Thats not good at all!!! Alright I'm quitting my job so she can support my ass while I skydive. Yeah and my b-day is this month and I really need a reserve. I better sweetin her up w/ flowers and such. CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil

  4. Oh man, that is kinda well...how can i put this. Hmm...funny or just bad luck. No its not funny, that really sucks if she is a hard core JW. She seems like a totally cool girl from what you've posted. Dont let it get you down, sure it might be wierd if you go to her parents house for dinner but if you really like her don't let it get you down. If it makes you feel any better, there was this girl I've been friends w/ for 3 years and was too much of a wuss to ask her to be " more than just friends ". Her and her family were Hardcore Christians but were really nice people. We went to prom and everything. Trying to drop a hint I even bought her a tandem for her B-day. One night I mustered up the courage to tell her how I feel and her response was she would only date me if I quit smoking and drinking. We then got in a big arguement of if you like the PERSON it shouldn't matter if they drink. I'm not a drunk, I just drink now and then. We'll we are still friends but I met a girl that is totally cool and have been seeing each other for a while. The christian girl and i are still friends and it took that arguement/conversation for me to get over her. So she is a JW, so what, she might be a really cool girl still. 6. How easy/hard is it hook a main up to a container? I bought a container that will be here any day and I have money for a reserve or a main, I was thinking I should buy the reserve then I can rent/borrow a main for a good day of jumping until I can afford one, but I dont know how hard it would be to attach/detach to the container. Any help would be great! CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil
  7. I dont know where you live but Active Wear told me that they will hold your stuff until its paid off and when your at the DZ you can use it. They have to know you though, so go introduce yourself to the people that work in your gear store, talk gear w/ them, get to know them, then ask about paying half now half later etc... I'm in the same situation you're in, no credit, no credit card and kinda broke. CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil

  16. Back when I was a student they loaded the plane wierd where there were fun jumpers behind me ( an AFP student ) so at about 8,000ft I was motioned to move to the front of the plane ( twin otter ) so i walking carefully inbetween legs and arms. Then the pilot turned sharply and I fell on about three jumpers. Luckly they were cool w/ it. There was no fondleing, but it was pretty damn embarissing. 18. Just to clarify; The only head down you do in Roger's AFP is that split second when you do your flips. After you graduate the AFP there is a coaching program where you learn to do multiple things in a sit then you'll move to head down. And thats after you get your " A " . Thats if Roger didn't change the program since April CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil

  20. No, I haven't. Do you remember what their students were using for gear. I'm a renter. I've been down to Skydive Illinois once and they only had one rig to rent out and it's not available often. I can't wait to get my gear so I can cruise the midwest and check out DZs and meet people. CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil

  23. Contacts are never a problem. When I wear my glasses I use the Flexivision Monster goggles and they work fine. If you take you goggles off for canopy flight be careful. I was taking off my goggles once and the strap caught my glasses and knocked off. I caught 'em in mid air and just about crapped my pants for almost losing my glasses. One of those straps is a really good idea to keep your glasses on you noggin' CHris " You're having the time of my life, and I think you've got it right" Jets to Brazil
