Something like that,, that pack is probably newer as it has a barcode.

"All of the above enclosures may be destroyed at the Bureau upon completion of the examination." Q1 = cigarette butts Q1 disposition..

Not exactly.. Brown and Williamson made Raleigh's, headquartered in Louisville KY.. was sold to B. A. T. in the 20's. In 2004 R J Reynolds and Brown and Williamson merged. Prior they were rivals. For his hijacking, Hahneman had a pack of Viceroy's but he demanded 2000 Benson and Hedges... Viceroy and Raleigh are both filtered, 85mm, made by B & W, the difference was the marketing.. Raleigh had the coupon program. In the 60's, Viceroy was primarily smoked by women until a new marketing program aimed to redefine them using auto racing sponsorships... "In the 1970s, Brown & Williamson realised that the cigarette brand was mainly smoked by women and couples because the Viceroy brand was "less masculine than its key competition" and the brand had a "feminine orientation" according to internal documents. From the early 1970s onwards, B&W started to sponsor the brand via the Vel's Parnelli Jones Racing team in autosport championships such as the United States Auto Club and Formula 1 to give the brand a more "masculine" additude, similar to Marlboro" What is interesting is 7 cigarette butts found indicated they were Raleigh's, one was not Id'd but assumed to be a Raleigh. Tina smoked at least one cigarette. There were no prints found on them. McCoy was not Cooper. Calame and Rhodes wrote a book trying to make the case that McCoy was Cooper.. it is clear McCoy was not. So, why would a couple of smart guys with inside info make the claim? IMO, they knew he wasn't Cooper but wanted to convince everybody Cooper (McCoy) had died.

Interesting, any with glasses..

There were many more than 6 letters, I am studying some of them right now... maybe one or more can be linked to Cooper, but not yet. Ha, Ha, Ha, haven't read it, others have. The plant theory just doesn't make sense... the TBAR money was either unintentionally lost or intentionally discarded.

Can't beat the Cooper detector... alka-seltzer bottles, strings, nylon stockings and pieces of metal.. .

FBI interviewed a jump expert,,, Jumps was very survivable, in woods or water. Jump simple for an experienced jumper. Could have drifted up 5 miles. Footwear inconsequential.

FBI LZ.. red dot = Heisson

Cooper wore "non-lace type shoes of ankle length", that isn't loafers. .

NEW FBI file #47 is here: https://vault.fbi.gov/D-B-Cooper /d.b.-cooper-part-47-of-47/view

Problem is without forensics, you can't get beyond circumstantial.. the prints might not be Cooper's and the DNA is partial and inconclusive. Now, the chute can never be confirmed.. the only thing left is to tie the money to a suspect. WE GOT NOTHING... if your standard is more than a (strong) circumstantial case then a solve may be unobtainium... Circumstantial is probably the best we can do.. unless the FBI does new DNA work.. but that is out of our control. I am resigned to two standards,, a legal solve (forensics) and a public solve (circumstantial).. not all circumstantial cases are equal.

I read somewhere they discussed doing a side profile sketch but one has never been publicly released. In the mid 70's, I think it was Flo who said her memory was fading,, I doubt any witness could ID Cooper now 50 years later, unless they remember a pic shown to them back then.. There were pics shown to witnesses that got a positive response but they are redacted. I filled this one in,, the redacted letter spacing matches Hahneman, the date matches Hahneman and other indicators match Hahneman, he was in the list.. but I can't be sure. Hahneman is a strange guy in photos, I have about 12 pics of him and he looks like 3 completely different people. Resembling the Cooper sketch is a good start for any suspect....

police report.. (this is in FBI docs part 46) Apparently it was kept for the FBI by the people that found it, the FBI never looked at it, after that who knows.. an orange and white nylon chute found in the river..

Here is the Heisson store,, next to the tracks. https://www.google.com/maps/@45.824581,-122.4917132,3a,75y,322.56h,78.51t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1swiUKb2i4JGXvTN165pkMyw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 A parachute was found along the East Fork Lewis between Heisson bridge and Lucia falls.. Heisson bridge is 0.6 mile N of Heisson store and the rail tracks follow the river. East Fork Lewis flows to the Columbia R. downstream of TBAR. The 1976/77 Sauvie Island project comes into play. The FBI rejected the chute because it was orange and white and Cossey said it the chute Cooper took was white. We know there is confusion and conflicting info about the actual chute Cooper took and Cossey has made conflicting statements.. This chute was found in the possible LZ, next to the river, next to the rail line (red line) which heads south right past the Heisson store (blue line 0.6 - 2.5 miles away) which had a break in that night. The chute was never retrieved by the FBI based on Cossey claiming his was white. What if Cossey was wrong. ,,,

I mean facts not third party claims.. Cooper claims are a dime a dozen. Draw up a Cooper suspect checklist,, Hahneman ticks more boxes than anyone by far.
-
yes, there are many on the suspect list, they range from the absolutely ridiculous to interesting.. Based in the info I have, Hahneman is on an entirely different level based on facts. No other public suspect is even close.
-
They weren't loafers and the crew never called them loafers,, the term loafers came from Tina saying "not tie type shoes" loafers was added and the media ran with it. Tina actual said "ankle length" that is not a loafer. Everyone knows a packet is a group of 100 bills, and everyone knows an ankle length pebble grain shoe is NOT a loafer.
-
Nope, I have no book and have been focussed on researching Hahneman. Eric Ulis is pushing Peterson and Thomas Colbert's suspect is Rackstraw. both are great at PR and media.. Nobody really knows anything about Hahneman and he has been ignored because he was labelled a copycat.. nobody bothered to investigate him for nearly 50 years. He flew under the radar. The info I have found puts him at the top of the suspect list by a long shot.. not even close.

yup, even back in the early 70' pre DNA.. how does the FBI prove the case without the money or a chute.. the finger prints are not necessarily Cooper's.. The only chance now is to use new DNA tech and try for a better tie sample.. The FBI mandate is to investigate and recommend a prosecution, they believe Cooper is dead,, you can't prosecute a dead person so the FBI mandate has also died. Case closed. A "legal" solve is the highest standard and virtually unobtainium.. a "public" solve may be all we can do.
-
Breaking news,, the term packet doesn't exist in the FBI docs... according to a senior Cooper Sleuth. Maybe it is time to hand in your Cooper sleuth badge, how can you investigate a case if you can't read the FBI documents or sort out the terminology. Forever the fool. And Brian even used the term packet.. the term packet, flat or strap are the correct terms for a strapped or rubber banded group of 100 bills, a bundle is a general term for the largest grouping, the money was given to Cooper in packets of 100 bills each, those packets were rubber banded into random sized bundles. People have used the term bundle to refer to each the 3 packets but it isn't accurate. The bundles were the groups of packets rubber banded together. at 1:57 Brian Ingram " discovered the three packets of twenty dollar bills"

Some money stuff... Cooper bill = L73433712B The 12 = an L bill, the first number is missing and the last is likely a C... so close L?3433712? Termites.. This packet was water damaged, it was dry and hard and solid.
-
Yeah, I have heard that argument, I also heard that familial won't work but the DNA can only exclude... too weak. The other problem is they have around 14 partial DNA profiles from the tie... I think DNA can work but we need modern tech and a new sample.. outside the FBI. I have an amazing case for Hahneman as Cooper short of the DNA forensics. My sense is the FBI doesn't really want to solve this case. IMO, there was high level intervention in this case. I can't prove it but I have the personal connections and actions that create a strong theory, a quid pro quo.
-
Yes, they did consider Hahneman. I haven't found any reason or indication that he was actually eliminated.. WE have info on McCoy, Rackstraw, Peterson and others, but nothing for Hahneman. I started looking into Hahneman to find out why he was NOT Cooper and found the more info I uncovered the better he matched. He died before the DNA stuff and that is probably the only way to put somebody on the plane. Hahneman had friends in very very high places..

I was just looking for potential links, there isn't any confirmation for who really wrote the letter. This is just exploration... Hahneman's hair did match the description of Cooper's except for one element, Hahneman had slight greying on the sides. However, William Mitchell thought Cooper's hair was dyed. Some of Hahneman's pictures don't appear to show the greying.. he was 49 probably dyed his hair. The months to live thing lines up almost perfectly.. Putty makeup and a toupee is likely a lie, Hahneman often lied but it was usually a half truth. The first number may be a coincidence,, But the last number/letter code was NOT written by the same typewriter as the rest of the letter, entirely different font, What is with that??
