If you have Netflix, they also have it available to watch instantly. I thought it was pretty good. It was mostly stuff I already knew, but I enjoyed some of the footage such as the Polyface Farms stuff. I didn't like the "Supersize Me" movie. He did a good job of showing what happens when you eat excessive calories and don't exercise, but it made no sense to put any blame on McDonalds.

This is the initiative that will be on the November ballot: Full text here. Personally, I am strongly for legalization. It is a recreational drug that *all things considered* is safer than alcohol, so we are sending many wrong messages by having it illegal while alcohol is legal. I just can't see how the personal use of it (by an adult and in a manner not affecting minors) should be a crime. Not saying it's a harmless drug, but I can't find any justification for keeping it illegal and spending money to fight this "crime."

John Locke is simply wrong here. I don't know a single atheist who "has never dealt with the issue of the Creator’s existence." It is his intolerance of atheism that seems irrational to me. -

I agree on Schlitterbahn and/or floating the river. That's some of the best stuff to do in the hot Texas summer. The caverns are nice and cool too, and I think there's a handful of them around Texas. Hamilton Pool is great in the summer, if it's swimmable (sometimes swimming is off limits). Enchanted Rock is nice too, but it will be pretty dang hot in August. And of course you've got to eat some bbq while you're there. I hate to recommend a chain place, but... Rudy's actually has good bbq, and they've got locations all over Texas. They will give you samples of pretty much anything on the menu before you order, and they are reasonably priced. (You can also find some great mom-and-pop bbq joints, probably by asking the locals in whatever town you're in.)

I think that movie sucks big time. Well, to each his own. I thought it was quite funny (in a lighthearted way), but I can see how it's not for everyone.

I think I mostly referred to guys as "cute" when I was really young (school-aged). And I don't think guys at that age minded. At my age now, if I say a guy is "cute," it's probably someone way younger than I am. There just aren't any middle-aged men who seem "cute" to me. Not even George Clooney. (But I can think of a few other adjectives to describe him.)

OK, that was pretty funny, but it might have been funnier if I had ever watched Glenn Beck. (I've tried a couple of times, but I'm just not masochistic enough to sit through more than 30 seconds or so.)

Thats one of my favorite movies.. My friends tell me Im a little messed up for that. If you like the movie, you'll probably like the book too. And yeah, you're probably a little messed up. I did enjoy the book . And I can see how enjoying this story makes me a little messed up, but at least Im honest here. It's one of my favorite books (and movies) too. But then I'm more than a little messed up.
