Am I misunderstanding, or are you suggesting that she would need to go to rehab just because she tried cocaine one time at a party?
-
It's hard to say. It seems to me that it would be an expensive program to implement. And unless the testing was random, it wouldn't likely catch much other than marijuana, which is probably the least harmful of the illegal drugs. And even with random testing, there are ways around the tests. Also, I'm guessing that alcohol is by far the most abused drug, and since they only seem to be talking about testing for illegal drugs (in the article you posted), it wouldn't do anything about (what I am guessing is) the biggest drug problem among welfare recipients. So it's hard to speculate without knowing more about what percentage of welfare recipients abuse illegal drugs, and exactly how the drugs would be tested for.

I like their salads. The Southwest with grilled chicken is what I usually get if I go there. (Makes two meals for me though; they're pretty big.)

Aw, but it was hilarious in Terminator: Salvation when they brought a young, naked Arnie back to life. I'm glad I went to see Avatar when it first came out, without having heard anything about it. I didn't find it to be preachy, and maybe it was supposed to be, but I wasn't focused on that sort of stuff. I did get somewhat of a religious/spiritual message from it, but I didn't relate it to any particular religion that exists (animism, perhaps?). Anyhow, I was just able to enjoy the story without caring too much about any big message that it was supposed to be sending. I didn't get to see it in 3D though, so now I'm wanting to see it again with the full effect.

Thanks, Paul. Yeah, the Temecula theater just says "Avatar 3D," but the RealD site lists them as one of the theaters, so I'm assuming that it's playing in RealD. I might call before going.
-
Until they bite you on the head and send you to the ER.
-
Nevermind; I'm an idiot.... A quick check looks like I can see it in RealD right here in Temecula. (I should have just checked before asking; I make things complicated.) But thanks for the link, Lisa.
-
Oh my goodness, that was funny. But no; you're not strange for not wanting kids. I think a lot of people feel that way, both men and women.
-
I'm recommending a RealD system rather than IMAX. Check your papers. Hey Paul, do you know of anywhere in the L.A. area (or anywhere else in SoCal) that is still playing it with the RealD system? I'd like to go see it in 3D now that I have the time. And yes, I'm doing the lazy thing of asking you before checking myself, but you seem to know these things.

I wouldn't want a beer or a Whopper, but then I'm probably not their target customer.
-
I'm not surprised; it seems to be a pretty common fantasy for women. But I think a lot of people fantasize about things that they would never actually do in real life, so it may not be so common in reality.

Speaking of conservatives for gay marriage, nice photos of Cindy and Meghan McCain: http://www.noh8campaign.com/

I hadn't heard of it, but the trailer made me interested in seeing it. It looks visually appealing.

Alice Cooper??? Probably THE greatest artist of all time. OK, maybe not. There were the Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. And KISS? I guess I just didn't get them. But Motley Crue, dude, they ROCKED the leather. So yeah, I guess you're right about the "bring your girlfriend" music. I regretted turning down a date to one of their concerts (the "Shout at the Devil" tour). The funny thing is that I had a ticket and backstage pass shortly thereafter to an Alice Cooper concert with Guns and Roses opening, but they had to cancel because they didin't sell enough tickets. (No one knew who GNR were at that time, and Alice apparently wasn't popular enough.)
-
No, I didn't see that. Did they really play "Iron Man"???
-
OK, that's pretty awesome.
-
OK, maybe you don't know the Meatloaf. Pookie.
-
I knew you were a Meatloaf fan too, Pookie. I want you, I need you, but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you.... Now don't be sad, 'cause two out of three ain't bad.
-
I know you liked this video, Pookie.
-
Shout at the Devil is probably my favorite song of theirs, but I can't find a good copy of it to post here. (I have it on vinyl.)
-
I think I'm going to start calling you Pookie.
-
OK, since you mentioned Metallica... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEL6_SuQCu8 They ARE one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
-
I was blessed to see Metallica in their early days. But unfortunately I also saw them in their strung-out days. (The source of "Master of Puppets," I suppose.) But you're right. They did sort of kick Motley Crue's ass. I liked 'em both though.
-
Another thread got me thinking. I know that Motley Crue seem a bit whatever right now, but they were once really, really fucking hot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Pno2Kn8Zg&feature=PlayList&p=31DC3C313B28C71B&index=0 What's your favorite Crue song?

Best f*ck you song when you break up with someone?
Shotgun replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in The Bonfire
I Don't Love You Anymore by the London Quireboys comes to mind. (Yes, I'm dating myself by that.) It came out right when I was breaking up with someone, and it fit the mood at the time.
