Personally, I find the bestiality thing to be a bit of a turn-off. But hey, to each his/her own.

I think they both look good, just different. As for Shakira's "boots," it looks to me like she is wearing latex stockings with pumps, rather than boots, but it's hard to tell. And I voted for Shakira because, whatever her footwear is, I kinda like it.

Hey, good luck with quitting. It may be difficult for a while, but it'll probably be well worth the effort.

Interesting... (Not directed at anyone in particular.) It seems that the logical female equivalent of a man who makes a lot of money would be.... well, a woman who makes a lot of money. But it is interesting that, instead, the female equivalent of a man who makes lots of money seems to be a woman who is exceptionally beautiful. And my first inclination was to fault this line of thinking, but actually, I think it's still pretty true to reality for now. As for the OP, maybe the situation could have been avoided if a restaurant had been mutually agreed upon before the date?

PiHKAL: A Chemical Love Story is an interesting read, if you have any interest in chemistry and/or psychoactive drugs.

I've noticed that about you, cupcake. And now I want a cupcake. A fucking Sprinkles lemon cupcake. (I think "fucking" is my current favorite adjective, as of yesterday.

Lucidity. I don't know why; it's just the first word that came to mind when I read the question.
-
OK, so the word has a religious meaning to them; therefore their marriage is religious. My marriage is not religious, and yet that doesn't seem to be a problem for these people, and it doesn't seem to affect the fact that they consider their own marriages to be religious. I guess I just think they are being silly if they are really that hung up on the definition of a word (and what it means to anyone other than themselves), but I honestly don't believe that that is what they really have an issue with, regardless of what they say. Just my opinion, of course. Oh, and yes, I agree that the "separate but equal" doesn't work. It just makes more sense to me to keep the _legal_ word "marriage" rather than changing everyone's marriages to "civil unions." (Though personally, I don't really care what it's called.)
-
For me, it has nothing to do with whether this is a "fair" solution or not. Sure it's fair, but... In my opinion, it's very impractical, and likely doesn't solve the "real" problem.
-
I suspect that the emotionally-charged aspect of the issue actually has very little to do with any particular word, even though that is what a lot of people choose to focus on in their arguments.
-
Yep. And I think this is the most practical thing to do for many reasons. There are already lots of people in this country (myself included) who have non-religious "marriages," so I'm not really seeing how allowing same-sex couples to "marry" would change anything other than giving those people the same rights that I have.
-
Oh yeah, that's a good one.

I was impressed with the Lord of the Rings movies. Those were some of my favorite books, and I didn't think they could possibly do justice with a movie, but they did pretty damn good.

If a person said that they believed (or did not believe) in evolution, I'd be curious to know what his interpretation of "evolution" was before making any assumptions about any of his other beliefs. People seem to have vastly different interpretations of what evolution means, and many who strongly believe or disbelieve don't actually seem to know much about the scientific theory of evolution. (Can't say that I'm much of an expert on evolution myself; this is just an observation I've had in watching people discuss the subject.)

Hi Gia, It's at Perris at 4PM on the 12th: http://www.eliflyboy.com/www.eliflyboy.com/Eliflyboy_Main.html

I mostly view them with the unaided eye, but sometimes with binoculars. And occasionally I'll view small parts of them with a microscope. There are probably some more interesting ways to view them, but I don't have access to that equipment.
-
The kinky part or the boring old fart part? Um.... I'll let you decide.
-
Yeah. Thats it... Thats their kinky side. Well, you have to admit that's pretty kinky for a bunch of boring old farts. (Skymama excluded, of course.)
-
No, I've only seen the original.

"The Devil in Miss Jones" is pretty cool, if you can get past the suicide part in the beginning. "Cafe Flesh" is another favorite, not your typical porn.

Edible stuff: boysenberries, lemons, mint, rosemary... and the Nasturtiums are edible too, but I don't usually eat them. Oh, and grapes, but something always eats the grapes before we get them. Lots of ornamental stuff growing, but our garden looks sort of wild since we don't do much tending to it.

I'm not sure what this word means, but I like it.
-
I don't know. That assumes that everyone is aware of the registry, has access to it, and knows how to use it (and is literate, I suppose).
-
Not a bad idea. Though I suspect that the type of people who would bother to register and keep up with this stuff, are the type of people who are least likely to find themselves in this situation anyway. Oh, and I would disagree about it being legally enforceable if only one person had registered. I think there would need to be some kind of proof that they were both aware of the other person's position.

hee hee hee the root of the issue, isn't it? Yes, it is. And, while I don't think it's possible to give men an equal level of control over their reproduction, as women have through the choice of abortion, perhaps both parents should have an equal right to turn the baby over for adoption once it is born? (Maybe the decision would have to be made while abortion was still an option?) I'm not sure exactly how that would work, or if it is already a legal option.... just thinking out loud.
