Not really, but I can never find the clutch pedal. My left foot is always stomping on some floor panel when I am in an automatic. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Not only that but chances are you are paying better attention while you are driving since you need both arms and both legs to drive (much harder to do something else when your hands/arms are already occupied doing something). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Occupy D.C. Nutter takes a shot at Obama W.H.
CanuckInUSA replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
Maybe the Teamsters were footing the bill for his $300/night hotel. Some would say that normally Obummer has Big Labor in his pocket, but there are some in Big Labor right now who are not happy with the Messiah ever since the Keystone XL pipeline was shelved to protect the Hollywood supplied money train until after the 2012 election. Obama is sacrificing upwards of 20,000 well paying jobs (many of these jobs would be filled by unionized construction workers) to protect his own job. Yes the sign of a true leader putting himself ahead of the people he is supposed to be helping. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
United for a Fair Economy and Allies Back New Estate Tax Bill

Your video reference only shows an injured man who appears to be in police custody. If you wanted your video reference to mean anything it would need to show what happened before this man was injured and show how he was injured. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Occupy D.C. Nutter takes a shot at Obama W.H.
CanuckInUSA replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
Believe it or not I agree with Kallend here. It was wrong for the Left and their media to label the Gabrielle Giffords Tucson AZ shooting incident as caused by someone on the Right, just as it is wrong to say this man is an "Occupy" follower.. Until tangible evidence surfaces that he is indeed tied to the "Occupy" movement, he is nothing more than a "Nutter with a Gun". I can't speak for others, but I am not fond of the idea of "Nutters with Guns" running around shooting at buildings, especially high profile government buildings. For those of us who call Siberia home (err ... I mean Western Canada) the sun is usually shining when it is -30C. So it is a mixed bag. The sun is nice, the -30C temperatures not so nice. If push came to shove I find the -30C with sunshine easier to take than a cloudy rainy climate only a degree or two above freezing. I spent a year in Vancouver and the sunny summer was awesome, but the rainy cool winter sucked ass. That is of course as long as you do not have to spend too long outside in the -30C temperatures. Being inadequately clothed and exposed to -30C for a certain period of time can and has been known to be fatal. There is a reason why most of Canada's homeless migrate to Vancouver. At least there they can survive a winter night on the streets. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Winter is coming? LOL ... winter is already here where I am. I live in Western Canada and Western Canada equals Siberia once Mother Nature throws her cold shoulder our way. Of course it could be worse. At least I don't live in Winterpeg. Here in Cowtown we occasionally get the warm winds (called Chinooks) from our mountains which gives us a temporary reprieve from our Siberian like temperatures. It's not that cold here (yet). But you know it's cold outside when the suspension on your car freezes. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

"Police Begin Clearing Zuccotti Park of Protesters" - NYT - 1:05 AM

Is that the goal? to bring down Wall Street? It is going to be a lot harder than you think. While I do not have insider knowledge of how Wall Street operates, I once worked in a control center where the Natural Gas is controlled through the pipelines and trust me that building was heavily fortified and could withstand most bombing attempts. I would imagine the servers controlling Wall Street are as well if not more protected. A bunch of squatters in the park will not stop trading on Wall Street. No it's not. Trading in the stock market continues as we type. Heck these squatters are not even on Wall Street. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
This is old news from a few days ago, but TCPL has agreed to reroute the pipeline and it is my understanding that the Nebraska state politicians were happy to hear this and are presently debating the idea of funding their own environment assessments now. TCPL definitely dropped the ball on running the pipeline through the Sandhills in the first place. However Obama is still playing politics with this one as he knows approving the pipeline would mean his Hollywood money would dry up and Obama is more concerned about saving his job than he is about creating approximately 20,000 jobs for American construction workers and easing the burden on America's dependency on Middle East Oil. However with all that said, Canada does need to build it's own pipeline(s) to the west coast and open up access to the Asian (Chinese) market where Canada would get a much better price. Goodbye Mr. Cain. It was fun while it lasted.
CanuckInUSA replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
We could get into semantics about what is and is not America until we are black and blue and that still would not change the fact that Obama called Hawaii part of Asia. Could Obama have already given Hawaii to China for all the money he is planning of borrowing from them? I know Canada gave Vancouver away to China several decades ago, so Obama would not be the first from "The Americas" to give land away to the Chinese. Back on topic ... after viewing the last video of Herman Cain, it is obvious he is not the right person to win the Elephant's nomination to be Amerika's next Grand Poobah. This was painful to watch. Yes it is time for Herman to throw the towel in. He is toast. However speaking of gaffs. Not only does Obama think there are 57 states, now he thinks Hawaii is in Asia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8G-NX4-W3I Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -

The guy called 911 5 times to complain that his iPhone was not working. He hurled verbal abuses towards the 911 operator many times (she kept her calm). He was either very drunk (which he denied) or as he openly admitted on the 5th call "I'm not very smart". Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Well at least he admitted it ... after the 5th call. "I'm not very smart" - Michael Skopec (the man behind this story). Here is a little video I would like to dedicate to Mr Skopec: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut5A_r5iiOg Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Occupy Calgary tent catches fire: http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/calgary/burned+tent+fire+Olympic+Plaza+makeshift+home+Occupy+Calgary+protesters/5719432/story.html BTW ... it is a balmy -3C today in snow covered Cowtown. But temperatures are expected to dip close to -20C at night this coming weekend. The city should go around the squatters site this weekend and remove all unoccupied tents. It will be interesting to see how many of these Marxist squatters who hate businesses can handle the cold temperatures without their corporate supplied camping gear and mountaineering clothing. Stop the insanity. Obama is going to borrow more money from China to open up a new permanent US naval base in Australia to counteract the threat of Chinese expansion. http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/11/15/peter-goodspeed-u-s-looks-to-assert-itself-in-pacific-region-with-australian-naval-base/ Seems to me that it isn't China who is expanding their military influence, it's Obama. I guess he wants to win another Nobel Peace Prize for his expansion plans. When Obama said "Yes we can", what he meant was "Yes we can be just like the other guys", except he will spend more that's all. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

How many candidates spoke about the Fed the way Mr Paul speaks of it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

He is not perfect, but Ron Paul is the only one making any sense. All the others (Donkeys and Elephants) obviously are in it to serve their puppet masters. But that is the problem, I can see Ron Paul coming down with an acute case of lead poisoning or sporting a new set of cement galoshes should he ever come close to being prez. The puppet masters do not like Ron Paul's message. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

New Uses for Zucotti Park--Add to this List!
CanuckInUSA replied to DesertAttorney's topic in Speakers Corner
7. A new memorial site where Leftists can honor their martyrs who felt the way to change society was to squat in some park and proceed to inject heroin into their bloodstreams to the point where they overdosed and died. okay this has not happened in Zucotti Park (a fatal drug overdose) ... yet. But there has been three heroin drug overdoses in Canada. Two in Vancouver and one in Toronto. Interesting how these squatters feel the government should give them free money so that they can spend their entire day injecting toxic substances into their bodies. I have no problem with junkies wanting to live their lives on skid row. Just don't expect the honest hard working taxpayers to pay for your destructive lifestyle. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
I agree with pretty much everything you have said. I am however leery that getting a pipeline built from Alberta to some place like Kitimat. While they hold little power right now remember that the Liberals and the NDP were in favor of passing new laws outlawing tankers from operating out on the West coast (while no such laws would exist on the East coast). There is deep hatred among many on the Left for Canada's oil industry and yet one wonders where these people expect their equalization money to come from if they ever succeed in shutting down the Alberta and Saskatchewan economies. You keep making these assumptions about myself on how I worship all things Republican. I don't know where you came up with these assumptions except that maybe you are making things up in your head. I do not hide the fact that I am a fiscal conservative. But I see faults on both sides of the fence. As far as I am concerned the Donkeys as well as the Elephants have made a huge shit sandwich for the American people. You did not get into this mess all because of one party (regardless of how much hatred you have steaming in your head). If you ever want to have a rational conversation about the mistakes both sides have made then I am all ears. But as long as you continue to spew your partisan "only one side is at fault" rhetoric, we will all know you for what you really are. BTW I recently heard two young Republicans were seen having fun at a pool party. Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal. But what is driving some to try and engineer yet another scandal was that these two young Republicans were having fun at their pool party with no clothes on and it was all caught on video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od7U9GhZg_g&feature=relmfu Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
