  1. I'd still like to see how we're going to get out of this with an Iraq who is peaceful towards the US. Everyone here who is against the war still supports the our men and women who are over there risking their lives. Yet, we think that the Iraqi people won't care that that their family members in the Armed forces and their civilian relatives are being killed. 2. Would that be from a book about leading small units. That's true for the Vietnam era that even in, according to text, what were considered good units there was still only about 50% of the unit participating. However, that was a drafted army, I'd like to hear from modern combatants but I'd guess it's now closer to 100%. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

    POW Rescue

"However, CNN reported that Lynch suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the rescue. Her condition was said to be stable. " That sucks. Hey, at least she's alive. I hate to say it but I don't think the prisoners have odds in their favor as our forces corner SH. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
  5. Yeah, it would just suck if someone encountering their first cutaway (me) read this quickly before heading out to the DZ and instead of thinking procedure thought, "well that guy said he thought it was a gamble anyway and I wouldn't want to piss anyone off by making them find my gear..." 6. Edited troll to troll protect troll the troll. I agree. I mean you're taking a chance by jumping anyway. tRolling the dice on something like this is no different. Also, I think it's f'd up to make people go look for your gear because you made a shitty pack. You should hold on to it until you're SURE you have a malfunction. Edited troll to troll protect troll the troll. This is satire, if you have any doubt, you should chop. Everyone will happily help you find your gear, give you shit for it but then ask for a copy of the video. Please read as: cutting away is cool. 7. When I got in there was tape on my mouse ball. I had just rebooted when I figured it out. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
  8. I've only gotten one semi-hard opening on my Tri-160 Hybrid loaded at 1.25 with brand new lines. I didn't have the nose rolled and I was still in a slight track. I usually don't roll the nose. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
  9. How do you pack? Edit: That's right a packer did it. Do you know what they did as far as rolling this or that? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

    Karaoke file types

Hey, does anyone know how to identify karaoke file types vs. MP3 "instrumentals"? Is the video input for the karaoke machine written with the MP3 format? Thanks "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

    The day after...

It is a common practice in my house to poor water on the pants of a particular roommate. We've probably done it 20 times and he still thinks he's peed his pants. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

  15. I think that impersonator he has will have a successfull future doing standup. Really, let's speculate. What's the Saddam double going to do when his boss is dead or in the clink? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
  16. Yeah, but it's not like you meet a guy and think, "ok, this is who I'm fucking tonight." The problem is that John needs to undersand the rules that as a group you allow each other room with girls. There's nothing worse than 5 guys crowded around a girl trying to impress her. Everyone ends up looking like a dork. You ALL need to explain to him that it's just part of the social norm. If you try to compete with your friends then you're a dick and need to be punched. 18. Don't worry, Wendy and I PM'd and she knows I'm kidding. I'm sure Lisa suspected it but is sick of everyone getting on each other about Iraq. Um....if you go to the DZ and I'm stuck at work. Don't rub it in, jerk. Especially since I can't jump this weekend. Ok, back to peacenik/warmonger bashing. Edit: Speaking of locked threads. Where's Thomas? 21. " with all the effort that the jumpers, pilots, and ground crews put into it. " I don't think it's that surprising. Let's say both shows were 1/2 hour long. Which would you want to watch? The show where there's 300 people, who in the course of 1/2 hr are really faceless, and all the time and effort they put into it to jump out of an airplace and hold hands (which is what it looks like to Joe Viewer); or the 1/2 hr show where you get to know the small group involved, what they're thinking, they're personalities and then a huge rubberband ball go CRASHING into the ground and bouncing up into the air unlike anything that's ever been done. 22. "September 11, 2001. United States of America." What, for invading Iraq? From Condoleza Rice: "We clearly know that there were in the past and have been contacts between senior Iraqi officials and members of al-Qaida going back for actually quite a long time,'' Rice said. "We know too that several of the (al-Qaida) detainees, in particular some high-ranking detainees, have said that Iraq provided some training to al-Qaida in chemical weapons development.'' That there have been "contacts" and "some training" is not grounds for attacking them. This is NOT why we should attack them. There are plenty of reasons why we SHOULD but the war on terrorism is not one of them. Edit: People believing this and giving in to this bullshit promotion by the administration is scary. Did you buy your duct tape yet? Idaho, are you ready for that Iraqi sneak attack? It makes me sick that Bush would try to use the emotions we have over Sept 11 to try to promote this conflict. He lost my vote and that of any intelligent Americans. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
