Here's a GREAT one: http://user.tninet.se/~prv247p/hatt/hatten.swf "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Dude, I used to have some chub. Then I trained to become a Jedi Knight. Now I'm the skinny stud you see before you. Ok, at least I'm skinny. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

The supposed background on this is that this kid taped himself doing starwars saber fighting. Well, it got out...the rest is history. http://www.acetj.com/Star_Wars_Kid.wmv http://www.acetj.com/Star_Wars_Kid_Remix.wmv "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Hmm, me racing to finish a pack on your new snot-rag. In related news, there would be a no show this weekend in Louisa as everyone goes to Orange to get your openings on video...this is starting to sound good... Have fun this weekend. Easy. I'm not slamming the Tri but voicing the example of why I said I would rather have to deal with a little more difficulty in packing. Let's say I had it for 5000 jumps and wanted to sell it. I'd rather have a canopy good for resale. As I said (view my profile to see my (in)experience) "how hard can it be to pack a canopy that's a little more slippery?" I've packed brand new zero-p and it was a bitch but I don't see that it would be that much of a difference for me to have a big opinion about it. It also seems like the fabric is long lasting enough that it wouldn't matter that much the other way either. PEACE, "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Really, how hard can it be to pack a canopy that's a little more slippery? I don't see what the problem. I would rather have a canopy that doesn't turn into a piece of trash and would like to be able to sell my canopy and be able to say that it will stay in good condition. Then what exactly should be there besides gear? Booze, tits, and everyone cussing? Sounds good to me but to a lot of people this is a serious clouding of their mind. There are many people for whom a personal relationship with God is an integral part of their lives. Spiritualism isn't about Sunday morning but about every single moment and especially the fun ones. You should be tolerant of them just as they are not judgemental towards you. Next, I think his idea here is not to force something down your throat but just to be a presence and maybe you'll think of it for all of 15 seconds. No harm done, what's the big deal? He isn't putting a pulpit in the loading area when you're getting ready for a solo to clear the fog. It's not even a load organizer who insists on a little praise to Jesus. Finally, this isn't a good comparison to the news or the dow jones. Improperly done, it's a bit like the guy who won't leave you alone about that insurance he was talking about (yeah, a little like C-Span). Properly done it's just someone's private life that maybe you will or won't notice and then wonder what he's about. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Yeah, but at least if you f*ck up with blocks then your canopy goes to normal flight. If your fingers get stuck then you're screwed. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

What do people have against blocks on their front risers? It seems like a lot of people get their fingers caught in dive loops. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

"though the historical significance is an important debate" Are you referring to the several years war in which that state attempted to leave the union? Georgia doesn't have anything of historial significance before or after that? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I have a Triathlon Hybrid. It's very good for recreational CRW. It has a reinforced nose, red dacron center A and outside A lines, and a three ring PC retraction system. It can also be taken to terminal by just putting a regular PC/bridle on it. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

And talk to your instructors about what you need. For example, you must have a rig with an RSL until you are licensed. Oh, and I loved you in Joe vs. the Volcano. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Wait, it gets better. He found the guy again the next day: http://www.captain-obvious.com/forums/showthread.php?s=f3874f3be24dfe3d3b9e1f91edb056fa&postid=6315#post6315 "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Yes, but he should have at least taken a potato gun safety course. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

We Americans expect a return on the money we put into things. It's how our market works. It's good to hear that some people who went on these trips had a good time. But tell me, if there have successfull trips in the past and Matos has been successfully collecting money then why haven't the outstanding debts been paid. Matos is not up to our standards as an organizer. People have invested money and time away from work and family. His actions are, simply, not acceptable. #35 or sumthinruther with a very experienced CRW jumper. I docked on him and was just waiting for some kind of entanglement to happen. It didn't happen so all was good and it was a lot of fun. Now I do as much as I can but still not as much as I want. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Anyone have footage of one of these going off? I've seen Vietnam era stuff. I imagine this left those divisions looking something like splattered vegetable soup...pretty nasty. http://www.guardian.co.uk/flash/0,5860,588916,00.html "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

We have yet to prove to the world that we are doing the right thing so we must place more risk upon ourselves (yes, risk our own lives) so that we don't risk those we are trying to "liberate". This is a state vs. faction conflict and we cannot use the state vs. state methods we did in the first Gulf War. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
