It's about risk mitigation. In sports where helmets must be designed to that standard you spend 100% of the activity at risk of hitting your head on an object relative to which you're moving at a high speed. On a skydive that instance only occurs when skydivers are moving quickly relative to each other, quickly through the door, or on landing. The additional bulk simply isn't worth it for most jumping. CRW and BASE are where you'll see people getting back to crash rated helmets because impact with other objects is much more likely and catastrophic. I'm having trouble figuring out if you're serious. I didn't know (and I grew up as a Christian and very involved in FCA and Younglife and going to their camps and to church and reading the bible thoroughly) that anyone really thought these earlier writings were anything other that conjectured stories. It's just a fact that it's impossible that a text that old and translated/transliterated so many times can hold up any factual value. And next to think that this person has somehow genetically predisposed an entire caste of people to certain attributes. You care to post the data to support that statement? I am not defending the politicians at all but shear numbers alone between the subsets would make your statement suspect. *Newsworthy crime. There's still the same spread of perverts in any subset of society and exposing yourself to children for the purposes of sexual exploits is still a crime. No law is going to stop that from happening but that doesn't mean you deny something to a whole group of people just because you have trouble discerning a post-op person who looks like a female in every regard and some greasy pervert with a 5-O'clock shadow and a huge Adam's apple. Ron, I heard a new phrase from a pastor today that applies pretty well to you, "Evangelical Conservative" or "Evangelical Republican" as opposed to Evangelical Christian. What he was talking about is how Christianity is no longer the guideline of a majority of those who profess both a Christian faith and a Conservative political view. Political dogma and fads have taken over as the reasoning behind their views and the problem is that even when it's blindingly apparent that the issue has nothing to do with or even counter to the intent of Christ the Evangelical Conservative will side with the political party. I think this is already a resolved thread but to add a note, you typically don't see or hear about experienced skydivers trying to do this. I only ever hear new jumpers asking about this or even attempting it. There comes a point where you gain an understanding of the terrible things that can happen when you try to squeeze through a door not designed to be opened in flight and flown by a pilot who is clueless to skydiving operations. Yes. You'll feel really fucking stupid if the plane bounces off the runway and your scalp gets ripped off and your helmet was sitting there clipped to your chest strap. The biggest piece of evidence that we had no intention of going into that conflict with the intent of handling WMD's is what's within and between the lines of this article. There was no training for handling or identifying these munitions and when they were found and identified they were often left in place because there were so few units able to handle them. There were cases where they were tossed in the back of vehicles only to split open and expose the occupants. If we were going there to disable these programs and deal with the WMD's then where in the blue fuck were the people who where going in to disable these programs and deal with the WMD's?
