Dude, you need to spend more time in America if you think that's fat! I'm going to pop some sir mix a lot into the old iTunes and watch that video again.

Welcome to the forum. I can't help you with any of your issues as I jump on the other coast and know nothing about USPA paperwork....but I am really interested in what object you hit? Minivan? Porto-potti? Boulder? Good to hear you are healed up and ready to get back up there.

I went about 2 months between AFF C and C1. They made me sit with and AFF instructor and go over all of the pictures of malfunctions, show them the order of my handles on EP, rule of 3 and the basics. Took about an hour. Then I had to re do, AFF C. I had spent some time in the tunnel, so I nailed in and they were confident to pass me to C2. This was at Z Hills 3 or 4 years ago.

Newbie (question about Monterey Bay, CA)
Trafficdiver replied to FailQuail's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I've only been to Tsunami Skydiving in CA and it was incredible, I know nothing about Monterey Bay other than that it is also on the coast so that sounds cool. Check out the dropzone's rating under the dropzone tab and see the reviews. As for saftey, tandem incidents are soooo rare. Like 1 a year rare in my time, so I wouldn't worry too much about safety. I'm sure every dropzone in your area will get you down on your feet safely. Most incidents these days are licensed skydivers with a working parachute who have an issue near the ground. As for a good reputation...my idea of a good reputation is how are the parties after the the beer light goes on...yours may differ. My advice is to just get out there and do it. -
IMHO bouncing off the net is not a belly skill you need or want to get good at. If you're bouncing off the net a lot it usually means you're bad. The instructors can do lots of things you can't do, but its because they have no life and live in that damn tube... Work on being able to move on all axis of your body on your belly first. Then get faster at it. Then you can move on to your back. Once you can handle the higher wind speeds then you'll be able to bounce off the net to your hearts desire (and the wall with your head, which I do a lot now). But first get good at Mantis and be able to fly in there with 3 or 4 people. To do that takes control. Oh and get out there and get your license. It's more fun in the air.

Thank God we're gruff I've grown addicted to the abuse. I can assure you that at any DZ I've jumped in New England, which is all of them that allow fun jumpers, and one that doesn't, I've never had even one second of hesitation from anyone when I've asked for a signature. And we know who Sam Black Church is and can remember them playing in places long since bulldozed.

First 3 AFF jumps took 4 months. Next 4 AFF jumps took 2 days. Bad weather in MA that summer and bad timing on my part. Heck my first AFF jump was because the DZO felt sorry for me and sent the Otter up with me and two instructors on it. Then I went to Z hills and, well, it's a very jumpable place in November.

I just got back a week ago from my first time out there. Stayed in the Mirage. Saw LOVE by Circus de Soleil...Awesome. Caesars looked gigantic, he'll everything out there is Gigantic when you come from Boston. I lost a lot more than you won BTW. Edit: You got a great view of the fountains.

You can already pack, that's great. I did a Flight One course at Jumptown last summer and had an awesome time. Really good skydivers and facilities out there. Have fun at the tunnel too, they just opened up the indoor surfing park there and I'm looking forward to trying that out soon.

List of Companies with Incidents???
Trafficdiver replied to orphanedhanyou's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sounds like you're speaking from experience. Yeah and believe me it was harder to handle than a minor step through. -
Almost any quote from Pigkiller in in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. "Remember: No matter where you go, there you are." "What happened to two?"

Going to Vegas & Grand Canyon - Which DZ?
Trafficdiver replied to sdigital's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Yep. I ended up going there on Saturday. Great place, good people. Wish I could have spent more time there. -
List of Companies with Incidents???
Trafficdiver replied to orphanedhanyou's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Totally. Most bowling alleys have very few, if any incidents at all. Unless you consider a 300Lbs chick trying to grab your junk at the bar an incident. -
On the Sunday of a Boogie I try my best to stay awake for the ride up, but fail. And freefall does not cure a hangover.

does anyone here fine skydivng relaxing.
Trafficdiver replied to brendhanbb's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
this may sound like a dumb question but what is a hop and pop. Jump out the door and pull your chute immediately with little or no freefall. Now go to the top forum for new users, introduce yourself and ask as many questions as you like. But just do it in one thread...ok. -
Going to Vegas & Grand Canyon - Which DZ?
Trafficdiver replied to sdigital's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I'll be in Vegas for work so I want to hit the closest DZ that is fun jumper friendly. From what I've read that's Mequite. I'm bringing my rig cause cause I love it. -
Skydive Chicago awarded 2016 World Meet!
Trafficdiver replied to Remster's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
When was the last time it was in the US. -
Yep. It's the only way. You will pass AFF7 and get cleared for solo if you keep at it. Just don't stop at the state line, tell your fear to fuck off and keep driving. You will slowly get used to the door monster (and one day learn to love him), and you will soon figure out how to get stable in freefall. It all clicks, just takes a little longer sometimes Don't do anymore tandems! You're not a passenger anymore.

Going to Vegas & Grand Canyon - Which DZ?
Trafficdiver replied to sdigital's topic in Events & Places to Jump
When are you going? I'm going to Mesquite the end of next week, 2/7-2/8. -
First Skydive, many questions about cameras and mounting options.
Trafficdiver replied to ereda95's topic in Gear and Rigging
I suggest you find a place that can do outside video and a handcam. You can then edit it together to make a rad tandem video. After you land you'll better understand the vibrant personalities here. -
I'm jealous of your tunnel and hope to get down and try it someday soon. Welcome to the sport. You should got to the St. Patrick's day boogie in Fitzgerald GA in March. Good time and lots of jumping there.

What is a random fact about you that people might not know.

I knew that orange is one of the few words in the English language that rhymes with no other word...therefore cracked the gullible, ehem riddle, in seconds.
