Hello from Paris, doing my A licence atm.
Trafficdiver replied to Polorutz's topic in Introductions and Greets
Awesome. Good luck getting your A. I don't know about Ocaña but I know you can do a ton of jumps at Z Hills in two weeks. Have fun! -
I'd give it a shot. YOLO!
-
There are plenty of noobs and people who are not that good at the big DZ's too that will grab you because you are in the same position. You can get a coach but even of you don't you'll find people to jump with. Chances are there will be several jumpers there just off student status. If they only allowed people with Mad Skillz the places would be dead.

That was exactly my problem! Now I have another problem: the tunnel is addicting! Me and my wallet know exactly what you mean.
-
I had a manager talk me into jumping (although he didn't buy it for me). Now he is a pilot and I'm a damn junkie. I send him FB messages thanking him for it all the time.
-
Keep on keepin' on. I got stuck on 3 because of spinning, hit the tunnel and haven't had any stability problems since. I'm sure you'll enjoy your next jump since you got some time in the Perris tunnel.

Why are you rescheduling because of your buddy? Go do AFF by yourself and let him catch up. What if his work delays him til 2015? Are you going to patiently wait?
-
Damn! I was going to guess the Fitzgerald Wild Chicken Festival.

New England Patriots. We hate you more than you could ever dream of hating us!

Just got my A - here's my formal introduction

Did you land back at the LZ this time?

All of your problems sound normal. You took care of the important parts (pulling and not dying). Everything else will come with practice. It takes a while to become fully aware of the skydive. I still notice jumpers with many more jumps than I have seeing things in freefall that I was not aware of. As for the pattern an landing off, well, if you handle the landing well, which it sounds like you did, and you don't mind a long walk and some gentle ribbing from other jumpers, then you really have no problems. The world is your dropzone, land wherever your can land safely. Keep with it, you progressed on each jump and that is going to continue.

You should go visit your buddy in MA so you can experience title town and have a good time. Then hit the tunnel as a side trip.

My opinion is that she is filing this lawsuit so she does not have to return the money sent to her. She has had some donations sent to her and promised to return all of the money if the lawsuit does not move forward, well filing it is moving forward. So she files the suit, drops it before she has to put any real money into lawyer fees, and she pockets whatever money is left over. Then she can afford the hardwood floors she bitched about not having on the CQS FB page.

It was hardest for me to learn to...

I had a flat spin issue to. I went to the wind tunnel. Never had any problems with freefall stability since. Did pick up a nasty tunnel habit though. -
There's going to be a tunnel competition coming up in January ( I think) at SVNH. Go to it and watch, you'll learn a ton, and get to see and meet some of the best tunnels fliers around, some of whom will be willing to coach you.

Why are you watching Oprah?
-
See, they'll let anyone come, even a Yankee! Yankee? Go Red Sox!!!
-
Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Well said.
-
Yes, definitely go to Fitzgerald. Hell I'm from the far north and I still make it down for that one.
-
Never cutaway? Do you look forward to your first?
Trafficdiver replied to JeffCa's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm fine with never having to cut away. If the situation arises I hope I'll perform my EP's properly, if it doesn't then that's good too. -
A follow up to my "so this is why I am apprehensive" post

Looked good,. Nice altitude awareness. Nice funky bass line for the music too.
